Starting a few days ago my mac is having issues with my iCloud email address. It keep asking me for my password and when I enter it, seems that it is not be ble to sync with my account and it takes the account offline. Then I go to "icloud.com" to verify that I amtering the correct password and it does go but now it is telling me that is not able to get my email data for some reason.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a iMac G5 with an Airport Extreme Card installed and an Airport Express Base Station. I have set a password on it and it is working fine on my G5.
I also have a G3 Clamshell iBook with OS 10.3 on it and an Airport card installed there. In my last home, it was able to connect to a default network without problem, but I have never been able to connect it to the same network as my G5. I enter the password and it says thet the password is not recognized. I have since moved into a new house and the only network that shows up is the one from my house (no default anymore and I can't get access to the internet.
I know the card is working since it picked up the default in my last place, but am wondering what I can do to get it to recognize the password. Should I reset the Airport Express. Do I need a more current version of OS X to run it than the OS 10.3 (I haven't updated the software as I just installed OS 10.3 from OS 10.2 last night and didn't have the connection to be able to do a software update - I could just plug it into the ethernet and do it if I need the update.
I don't want to leave it without a password. We are the only people right now in a new sub division but there will be people moving into the area soon that I don't want jacking my internet service.
I'm getting this all of sudden: "The server did not recognize your user name or password for account 'iCloud.' Make sure you enter them correctly". Yet, there is no where for me to re-enter my info. How do I get my computer ical and iCloud to re-sync? Both, on my iphone and macbook, the icloud selctions for calendars are checked. I did not change anything before this happen; and, all my other applications are syncing up perfectly.

I enter user password on my admin user account and it goes blue briefly as if beginning load but the. Returns back to selecting user and entering password. I have an apple id based on an e-mail address I no longer have and that I have lost the password to. I had purchased several apps with this account, and now cannot update them. I tried retrieving the password from Apple, but since I no longer have the e-mail address, I can't get it. Is it possible to somehow access the old ID and transfer the ownersip to my new ID?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI received a mail from Apple with regards to change in settings of my iTunes or Apple ID on my Hotmail Account. So I clicked the change account and created a new Account using my Gmail ID. Little did I know, after successfull completion that the apps downloaded using my hotmail id would not be allowed to update using my ne registered gmail id.
So, I try to login using my old id (yes hotmail). Now the catch is I forgot the pass for this id. So I click 'forgot pass' and a msg comes send email notification. Now comes the main point! I'm not recieving a single mail from apple on my pass retrival?! Which means i cannot update my apps (including the paid one's) + I'm scared that my CC deatails will be miss-used on the old id!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI get the following message when I'm in Safari and select "File>Mail Contents of This Page" or "Mail Link to This Page" even though I have Apples Mail programmed installed and use it all the time as my primary email client. I don't see any preferences in Safari where I have to make a selection for these menus options to work and they have worked in the past. They have just inexplicably stopped working.

I've noticed on the discussions there are weird things that go on with HP and Lion, so I followed the advice of another discussion and downloaded the software/drivers noted for HP from the Apple website (software update did not detect).
Now, when I go into system preferences to add the printer, the printer shows up to be added, but forces me to click "add" to add and download the software - which I don't need, having already downloaded it. As other people have mentioned, this results in an error "this software is not currently available?
Is there something stupid I'm missing? It's a USB connection, printer is recognized by the computer, but the automatic software won't download and I'm not sure what to do with the software I DID download to get it to be recognized.

a new problem with my MacBook I think. The iTunes widget on my dashboard isn't working correctly, when I click on the i button to turn around the widget to select a playlist, the dashboard freezes temporarily and when it turns around there are no playlists to select. I know I have loads of playlists and I am using the original iTunes widget that came installed on the machine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open up iTunes on Vista x86 it appears empty with all my playlist, videos etc. gone. The folder that iTunes gets my music from hasn't changed. When I open iTunes the iTunes Library Extras and iTunes Library Genius are always sent to the recycle bin and there is nothing I can do to stop that from happening. When I check my music folder new versions of those files are there. I am really scared that I won't be able to get my music back as I have a lot.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a MacBook Pro and when I tried to import all my music files, from an external drive, iTunes did not recognize the .wma files.
I ended up copying all of the files (50GB worth) from the external drive to the Music directory on the MacBook. That is when I was able to determine that it was the file format that iTunes did not recognize. And clearly I see why, they are Windows Media files.
Is my best option to use Switch (or similar file converter program) to convert all the files that are currently .wma to .mp3 and just be done with it. Or is there an add-on for iTunes that can do this?
I am more than okay with deleting all the music files from the MacBook and starting over. I just want to get this right, from the start.

I just bought the new 27 inch iMac I have been using Time Machine on my macbook4 pro and used the backup with migration assistant to the new iMac. When I did the restore, everything went fine except iTunes does not recognize my iPhone or iPad. It does not show up at all when plugged into the iMac. The one thing I had to do when using the restore was change the name of my user account info as it would not transfer to the iMac with the same user info. Anyone got a clue on what I should do to get iTunes to recognize my iPhone and iPad?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so my iTunes account is not recognising my iPhone at all. I recently bought a new MacBook Air, and when I turned it on for the first time I installed a Time Capsule backup. iPhone was fine with my old iMac, but now on the Air, iTunes just will not recognise it! I'm pretty sure it's not a USB problem, as when I plug it in to the Air, it chimes and charges, but the iPhone is not showing in the iTunes device list! I tried to solve this last night by deleting and reinstalling iTunes. It solved the issue temporarily and the iPhone was recognised, but when plugging it in again after that, same old story.
