May 18, 2012My iphone 4S says "Apple ID has been disabled". I've done a backup to iTunes, then a factory restore on the iphone and reset my Apple password. Still get this same message.

Jun 22, 2012I received a mail from Apple with regards to change in settings of my iTunes or Apple ID on my Hotmail Account. So I clicked the change account and created a new Account using my Gmail ID. Little did I know, after successfull completion that the apps downloaded using my hotmail id would not be allowed to update using my ne registered gmail id.Â
So, I try to login using my old id (yes hotmail). Now the catch is I forgot the pass for this id. So I click 'forgot pass' and a msg comes send email notification. Now comes the main point! I'm not recieving a single mail from apple on my pass retrival?! Which means i cannot update my apps (including the paid one's) + I'm scared that my CC deatails will be miss-used on the old id!Â

Mar 28, 2012My Apple ID is in good standing (or else I wouldn't be posting in this community).But when I try to make a purchase in iTunes, it stops me saying that my Apple ID has been disabled..This has been going on all day, so it's not a matter of waiting for the system to update with my new email address (I wouldn't think).I've tried authorizing this computer for iTunes, and it is already authorized.What else should I try?

OS X Yosemite :: Having To Enter Apple ID And Password Multiple Times Since Upgrade
Dec 10, 2014Since upgrading to Yosemite I am being asked by Apple apps to enter my password much more often than before, to the point that it's annoying. The reason for this usually is not apparent, and happens even though I'm using only my home computers, from which I've signed in many times previously and which should be recognized by Apple, and on which I have elected to stay signed in. Worse, oftentimes when I sign in, the dialog box refreshes, with the PW field empty, giving no indication why my entry was not accepted.
Sometimes I'll have to enter my PW two or three times before it's accepted, all with no alert that the ID was not recognized or the PW was incorrect. It's like the system is trying to call my bluff or having me say it three times before it'll believe me! This happens so regularly that now when iTunes or Mail, for example, asks for my PW, I enter it very slowly and deliberately, so I know I'm not making a typo. Besides, I never experienced this behavior with any prior OS X version.Â
Is this a new security step—the owner of the Apple ID will continue to enter repeatedly what he knows to be the correct PW even when it's not initially accepted, whereas a hacker will move on to a new guess after a first attempt with the correct PW is rejected?

When I went to log on, It said I could use my Apple IDÂ to change it again, but I would lose the passwords on my keychain. Which would have been fine.
