installed Win 7 with no issues except it doesn't recognize the Apple keyboard an wireless mouse. Rebooted in Win 7 and put in OS X disk and reran bootcamp as it said. Still doesn't see them and in Windows, the screen is on full bright and I don't see how to decrease it since the keyboard issue.
View 3 RepliesI currently use the apple bluetooth keyboard with my mac mini setup. It is not on a desk but I use they keyboard in my lap because the mini is hooked to the tv. All I can hear when using it is the battery's rattling around inside the holding tube. Is this normal? If not Im definetly going to the store and have it replaced.

He's hit an immediate setup problem, because it's not recognizing the keyboard from his G4 that he wanted to use while he waits to get a wireless keyboard. Is there any reason why it wouldn't recognize the G4 keyboard? Could it be in any way related to the fact that he's running the server version of OSX rather than the client?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've got windows running fine on my IMac, problem is that for one reason or another, I can't use any mouse or keyboards. On startup, when I hold the option key to choose which OS I want to use they work. When I'm using the Mac OS they work. I've even tried using my microsoft mouse, it doesn't work either. I was told that after installing the operating system I had to insert the mac osx installation disk so that bootcamp could install the drivers (at this point the mouse/keyboard was working). After everything was installed I restarted like I was supposed to, but when windows xp started up again no mouse or keyboard would work. I've tried my wireless apple keyboard, my wired apple keyboard, my wireless apple mouse and my wired apple mouse and nothing works.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy MacBook Pro (running OS X 10.6.2) suddenly does not respond when the "Enter" key on my external Apple keyboard is pressed. All the other keys work fine. I'm using the Apple low-profile keyboard with numeric keypad--here's a link to it at the Apple Store.
The problem doesn't appear to be with the keyboard; I've plugged it into another MacBook (running the same OS), and the Enter key works fine.
Does Apple sell the bluetooth wireless keyboard with the number pad and arrows? Its something that I overlooked when looking into buying a mac. I want the aluminum wireless keyboard, but I hate not having the number pad and arrows. I couldn't find one anywhere.

It has been a while now that my iTunes is not recognising my password.
This it's only happening on my iMac as I can sign in with my apple sigh on everywhere else.
I get the following message when I'm in Safari and select "File>Mail Contents of This Page" or "Mail Link to This Page" even though I have Apples Mail programmed installed and use it all the time as my primary email client. I don't see any preferences in Safari where I have to make a selection for these menus options to work and they have worked in the past. They have just inexplicably stopped working.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn grad school renting a furnished apt for the summer, and trying to hook up HP printer (4215) to my Macbook that runs Lion. I've noticed on the discussions there are weird things that go on with HP and Lion, so I followed the advice of another discussion and downloaded the software/drivers noted for HP from the Apple website (software update did not detect).
Now, when I go into system preferences to add the printer, the printer shows up to be added, but forces me to click "add" to add and download the software - which I don't need, having already downloaded it. As other people have mentioned, this results in an error "this software is not currently available?
Is there something stupid I'm missing? It's a USB connection, printer is recognized by the computer, but the automatic software won't download and I'm not sure what to do with the software I DID download to get it to be recognized.
I just bought a new 2012 aluminum Wireless keyboard and the function keys do not work properly. I am currently running OS 1.5.8. I would expect most keys to match the icons on the keyboard. I do not want to upgrade to Snow Leopard or Lion. I have installed an aluminum keyboard upgrade 2.0 and this did not help. I just want the the keyboard functions to match the icons on the keyboard.. Volume up...volume down...

Im getting this on everysite that has site logins simular to this site. The ones with the separate pop up box are fine.

For some reason safari isn't recognising flash player or silverlight plug-ins despite uninstalling an reinstalling (seemingly successfully) a couple of times. I was prompted a couple of weeks ago to update flash player, and having done this I am unable to use it at all. In addition my netflix account prompted me to download silverlight (must have been previously present) and since will not play any netflix films at all. Im running an iMac intel on 10.9.4.

I was just wondering what all of your thoughts were regarding these two keyboards. I know I can't get the Wireless Pro new anymore, however I can get it used for $20 from someone I know.
The new aluminum one however, I can get for about $40 used or just buy a new one for $70. I'm looking to buy a used one so it's pretty much the Wireless Pro for $20 vs the Wireless Aluminum for $40.
This will be going towards a set-up with my MBP which will be on an mstand, with an external monitor. I've already gotten the Magic Mouse so I'm trying to find a nice Bluetooth keyboard to compliment it.

I am contemplating just not using it, however it really does put the keyboard in a more natural place for me to sit correctly. If I want to use the wired keyboard though, I will obviously need some type of usb extension. I have read these came with the old keyboards, but they don't come with the new ones. Does anyone know where I can find one that is compatible with the aluminum keyboard? Would the extenders that came with the old Mac keyboards work (in case i can find one on ebay or something)?

So the keyboard of an iMac can have integrated the keyboard itself + the trackpad in just a single "device".
The place of the trackpad can be where before were a numeric keypad. It can have the other features that have the MBP's keyboard.
I am now using a wireless Logitech keyboard. Once I reboot and push ALT to try and bring up boot selection, it doesn't work. I've tried other keys as well.

Every 5 minutes the keyboard freezes for about 15 seconds. My Mighty Mouse and tablet connected to the keyboard won't work as well. I have tried to connect it to other usb ports but there's no difference at all. Please help, as this issue is really frustrating..
I promise, I know how crazy this sounds. And no, I don't think I'm a candidate for one of those hoarders TV shows. I absolutely cannot locate my Apple bluetooth keyboard. My iMac can locate it. And apparently be connected to it. But it's a mystery to me where in my home it is. Some time ago, I decided I wanted my numeric keys back and switched to a wired keyboard. And then I put the BT keyboard... somewhere. Any ideas on how to locate it easily? Can I make it beep? Can I triangulate its location? Anything? What is its range? Could it be as far away as my garage? As close as my attic?
