Mar 31, 2012how do I copy a playlist from iTunes to my iPhone? iTunes Match somehow seems to to be getting in the way but I'm not sure how or why.Â
I'm using a new iMac and iPhone 4S. (Will leave out the details of the other devices I'll try to sync once this is done...) Previously, I had iTunes on an old PC and an iPhone 3, and everything worked beautifully: I created playlists, manually selected which I wanted on my phone, and sync'd perfectly. Now I have iTunes Match, with some 12,000 songs sync'd, and I thought this would make my life easier. Instead, I'm totally unable to create playlists for my phone.Â

May 22, 2012I have a nice playlist full of 8 GB of music, now I want to transfer those files (in no particular order) onto my mini USB thumb drive to use in my car. What is the best way to do this in an organized way? I was thinking of right clicking on every album and "reveal in finder", then manually transfer that album's folder to keep it all organized in the USB drive. I'm trying to setup a few USB drives to function like an old multi-CD changer would.

Feb 25, 2012I accidentally cleared a playlist on my iPhone 4s. When I synced with my iMac, it actually cleared my playlist in iTunes as well. I thought syncing was always from the mac to the iPhone, not the other way around.Do I have a setting on that I shouldn't?

ITunes :: Playlist Listings Not Being Properly Copied To IPhone?
May 23, 2012I've recently moved my iTunes media files off the Mac and onto a network drive (after a lot of library tidying-up), and everything from that perspective is running smoothly. Both iPhone and iPad can receive selected music/podcasts/video etc.Â
But I have a problem with playlists on the iPhone. Even though the contents of a playlist are being copied over successfully to the iPhone, the playlist on the phone doesn't contain all of the entries. So if I have a playlist called 'Car' with 17 songs, the 17 songs are all copied over but the playlist only lists 8 songs.Â
After syncronisation, I can browse the contents of the iPhone in iTunes and look at the copied-over playlist, and it will list 17 songs. But if I look at the contents of the playlist on the iPhone it will still leave some entries out.Â
By the way, the iPad is behaving itself.Â

Jun 8, 2012I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.

Dec 7, 2014I have my iMac here which I use to Sync my iPhone 6 Plus - This iMac 'belongs' to my iPhone 6 plus if you know what I mean.. Â
Now a friend of mine who does not own a computer, just bought an iPhone 6 and wants to move all the photos form his old iPhone 4S to the new Phone.. Â
So.. Â I imported all his Photos to iPhoto on my iMac. Â
Now when I open up iTunes on my iMac it immediately says to me 'Welcome to you new iPhone'.. and wants me to continue. Â
What do I do from here? I want to use iTunes to move all the photos from the iPhoto event I created to his new phone and this is a one off.. Â
Is it possible to do this without messing up any future syncing between my own iMac and Phone??Â
Or is there some other way I can get his Photos from iPhoto on to his Phone? I am assuming that iTunes is the only way without of course having to deal with third party apps.

Mar 31, 2012Is there any way to move the existing pics on my iPhone to, my NEW iMac? I HAD a PC which, crapped out (hard disk failure). My problem is, if I let iTunes, sync, it will erase my pictures for which, there is NO backup. If I lose the pics on my iPhone 4, they are gone forever. Emailing them is not an option, there are 2000 of them.
