I accidentally connected an iPhone with a Mac I do not want to synch with. Now when openign iTunes this iPhoen always appears and shows up inside the device list. How can I just get rid of this device without touching / loosing any datsa on teh device itself?Â

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.

When I open iTunes, I am asked for a password, TWICE. I don't wish to use automatic downloads at this time, and I don't need to tell my computer that more than once until I change my mind, as opposed to twice every-time I open iTunes.

When making a purchase on the iTunes store, I checked the "remember password for purchases" box. I'd like to disable this. I went into preferences and clicked "reset warnings" and all that, but it still remembers my password when making purchases. Anyone know how to disable this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.

All of the methods I am seeing (outside of jailbreaking which I don't wan't to do) are not working. I'm assuming that the version of iTunes I am running has corrected the ways that people were using to get ringers. Anyhow, I have mp3 ringers from my other phone saved on my computer. I've tried importing them, converting them to AAC format to no avail. Is there any value in going down in versions to regain the ringer function. Is that possible? I gotta say, I am extremely underwhelmed by the choice of ringers in iTunes. I feel like I've gone back 10 years. if anyone knows of any other way to get ringers onto the iPhone (without jailbreaking) I'd love to hear them.
