ITunes :: Get Ringers On Iphone 3gs?

Running iTunes v. 9.1.0.79. Trying to get ringers on an iPhone 3gs I just purchased yesterday. All of the methods I am seeing (outside of jailbreaking which I don't wan't to do) are not working. I'm assuming that the version of iTunes I am running has corrected the ways that people were using to get ringers. Anyhow, I have mp3 ringers from my other phone saved on my computer. I've tried importing them, converting them to AAC format to no avail. Is there any value in going down in versions to regain the ringer function. Is that possible? I gotta say, I am extremely underwhelmed by the choice of ringers in iTunes. I feel like I've gone back 10 years. if anyone knows of any other way to get ringers onto the iPhone (without jailbreaking) I'd love to hear them.

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.

I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I have a new-to-me MacBook (running Lion) and I just downloaded all my music into iTunes. I had been sync'd with an old PC laptop previously. If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?Â

I have Itunes on my Win7 computer and on my Macbook running snow leopard 10.6 and the latest Itunes and neither computer will connect to my iphone with the usb cable. It did with the previous version of Itunes.If I can't get an answer I will go back to the previous version of Itunes

I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.

The new itunes10 app appeared on my iphone -- purple instead of blue-- and now it only displays songs purchased in the itunes store.Anything I have ripped from my purchased cd's do not show up in the app. Basically my iphone is now just a phone. I use it mostly for music so this is really getting annoying. No notice of this change. After many hours of trying many different things I'm really just looking to kill the itunes app. There must be another app out there to take your music from your mac and transfer to your iphone to listen to it?I already know I'm moving to an android this fall as I'm so tired of this problem child of a phone. Rim! Why couldn't they get in the game!

I have an older Power PC eMac that is running iTunes 9.2. I want to load up my new iPhone 4S with music and iTunes won't recognize it in devices. How can I do this? It is ridiculous to think that I would have to upgrade my mac in order to put music on my iPhone.

Since updating to iOS5.1 I cannot download any new Apps or updates through my iphone.Â
I can update / add via itunes on my mac and sync fine. I have rebooted iphoneI have backed up and resync'ed with itunes several timesI have just been very patient in the hope that some server issue might be at play ... but after hours the downloaded apps are stil in a "waiting.." stateSame situation with News stand publications - all just "waiting"Â

i just bought a new mac, and i have attempted to sync my iphone wireless. the "sync now" under itunes wi-fi sync does not , or will not work. both the mac and the iphone are on a shared home wifi. is there a setting im missing in which my phone has to be "authorized"?

My Iphone recently got stolen and I am now using my friends old iPhone. I was wondering how I can sync my friends iPhone to my iTunes so that this iPhone I'm using now gets synced with all my contacts, photos, apps, music etc. I am hesitant to click on 'sync' and 'restore' because my friends old iPhone still has his stuff on it and I don't want to lose my stuff on my iTunes.

I have a new iPhone 4S and tried to back up its contents with iTunes on my Mac. ... I used the USB connector to physically link the iPhone 4S to my Mac -- which is running OS 10.4.11 and iTunes 9, if I remember correclty -- but the iPhone did not appear in the iTunes pane ... can anyone tell me why and how to back up my iPhone 4S using iTunes?

I recently transferred my itunes from my old macbook to a new one. I authorized the new computer for itunes. Now itunes only recognizes my iphone when it is plugged in to charge it, but I cannot add music from itunes to the iphone on the new computer. I just got an Iphone 4. When I connect it to my MacBook Pro I get the above message. I updated itunes and all other updates are done, phone is updated. I can make calls, navegate, etc.

My 2 iPhones 5c (8.1.1) are suddenly not being recognized by iTunes (12.0.1.26). They don't show in the menu bar and don't sync on my mac mini. They WILL connect on my mac laptop from work. So it's got to be an issue with the Mini right?Â
