Oct 16, 2010I ask for forgiveness since now if I'm posting something that already exists and I couldn't find, but I wasn't able to find any helpful resource to fix my problem.
I've always used Mail and I like it. I have three addresses, one of the provider, the other two belongs to my personal domain. They've always worked fine.
Since two months they suddenly stopped to send e-mails. The error says there's a problem with smtp server. I tried to change smtp settings, I've edited mail settings, tried to set up another account and tried to download another app for mail: always the same problem. My mother, that has a mac too and an e-mail account with our provider, doesn't have any problem. So I tried to copy those settings on my MacBook Pro.. nothing.

May 2, 2012I just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design?  Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?Â
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

Jun 11, 2012I saved several voicemails from my landline (Comcast Digital Voice). They are saved in a folder in my Documents folder but also are showing up in my iTunes library. They are saved as .wav files. I want to keep them (one is my last voicemail from my dead mom) but I don't want them showing up in my library of songs in iTunes, being synced with the rest of my songs on all my devices. Is there any way to remove them from my iTunes library while keeping them saved on my hard drive in my Documents folder?Â

Isn't that point of a digital copy? I could just as easily buy a used DVD cheaper and rip it. The film is still for sale in the iTunes store, why could I not get it in the Cloud? Apr 20, 2012I'm running iTunes 10.6.1 and Configurator 1.0.1. I just purchased 32 copies of an app for one of our school iPad carts. The last time I did this I made the purchase, ran iTunes, input the first app code, and downloaded the app.
Now when I input the code for a new app, it begins to download 32 copies of the the last app I bought, which was iMovie. I can cancel all of the downloads, but when I go in to add a another new app, it then starts to download 64 apps: 32 copies of iMovie and 32 copies of the app I just installed.Â

Every time I log in, I'm redirected to the login screen that asks for my account name and password. I've reset my password 4x and Apple has done it twice. Still no change. I'm not getting any response that my password is wrong and I'm allowed to fill in my credentials as many times as I want. It's just redirecting me to the login screen and asking me again. If I log out and back in, it tells me after login that I need to press "ok" to verify my account information, after which it redirects me to... the login screen.Â
