have a working email address for iTunes / iBooks support? We've been trying to upload books through iTunes Producer and have never had a confirmation that the books have been approved. After waiting a month,we emailed ibookstore@apple.com a few weeks ago but have never heard back.I've been told that Apple take ages to deal with customers but I think 4 weeks is long enough.
I have a 15" MBP that was bought in 2007. Since then, the SuperDrive, the display, 3 batteries, and both fans were replaced. My apple care ends today and when I tried to power it on today in the morning, nothing happened. I took it to the store and they said the logic board needs to be replaced. I will be without a machine for 5 days.
Is there anyway I can contact apple's customer service to express my dissatisfaction? The apple care ran out and seeing how this machine has been in for service so many times, I am afraid it won't last long before I need to repair it- out of my pocket.I was thinking of contacting the support number but I presume they don't deal with customer feedback.
How can I delete Apps and iBooks from iTunes so that do not constantly re-sync with iPad or iPhone even though I specifically un-check them NOT to sync? I have to go thru this every time! I don't even want them any longer on iTunes (or iPad) but I can't find a way to remove them from iTunes! Apple used to be so easy and intuitive but now so much is hidden/fixed).
Info: MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 4GB SDRAM; 500GB HD
I can sync my iPad to my iTunes on my macbook pro but on the library in iTunes it does not show an app for the ibooks therefor i cannot sync my ibooks onto iTunes. is there a way of saving my ibooks on my macbook pro ? also i am looking to get a matchbook air to replace the iPad can i read them on the macbook air ?Â
I fully understand the separate iBooks app in Mavericks. The problem I have is that my iTunes library still shows books available when I go to sync my iPad. The books are NOT in the iBooks app library, yet they still appear as available for syncing (See below). How do I remove them permanently?? I have tried to find a definitive answer, but haven't had any luck.
I have a contact for my mom which used to be her first name and last name which I later changed to just "Mom" in the first name box after getting an iPhone. At the same time I started syncing with MobileMe and have been having this problem for about 2 years. Every time I send her an email it changes her name from just Mom to Mom and then adds her last name back into the last name field.
Last Saturday (March 21st) it had a major system failure, would not boot and had vertical line across the screen, and I took it to the Apple store. They said it was either a HD, LED, or video card problem. The "genius" said I should have it back in 3-5 days.
So today is either day 5 (business days) or day 7 (calendar days) I called them yesterday and they said it was the video controller and no ETA on when it will be ready but they will call me when it is ready.
My question is : Is it me or is this a little ridiculous customer service for a 13 day old iMac? Would I be a little out of line going to the store and either demanding a "new" iMac or my iMac today ? A broken video card should take about a day or two to get back to the customer in my opinion...
I have an 11/2007 MBP... 4 yrs, 2 months and 3 weeks old tomorrow. Yesterday I got the "black screen of death". I won't bore you with what I tried, but today a local expert assessed the situation: reset SMC and PRAM, noted that it booted into target disc mode and would screen share, in other words, he proved it was one of the known MBP's of this genre (15", 2.4/2.2GHz) to have a defective NVIDIA 8600 graphics processor. I called the recommended local Apple Authorized repair facility only to be told that, while these WERE being repaired at no charge, out of warranty, it had been discoved that, OMG they were repairing a WHOLE BUNCH of them and a time limit had been imposed and there were no longer being repaired after they reached four years from purchase date.WHY WAS NO ONE EVER NOTIFIED OF THIS DEFECT? And why am I just SOL because my computer chose to work an extra two months and eighteen days?
I plowed through the "you don't have phone service" with battering ram efficiency this evening, past the Apple care agent, his supervisor, and to "Customer Care" with whom I will be speaking again tomorrow. I have told them I "EXPECT" a "customer satisfaction code" which will provide me with a free repair. I have armed myself with the absolutely outrageous information that Apple, after booting NVidia out three years ago (one guesses after the rotten graphics bit) is welcoming them BACK this spring - Oh, so ANOTHER generation of MBPro users can get screwed?I sure could use some help here when I need another argument! Does anyone know the magic language to induce Apple to behave in an Apple-like manner concerning this matter?

I get this error message when trying to connect to the radio stations on itunes? "an error occurred while trying to contact the radio tuning service" My computer is definitely connected to the internet as I can stream from pandora and safari and mail work?
I downloaded some new music apps for my iPhone 3GS today, only to find that some wouldn't sync to my iPhone. After much messing around I realised that some needed iOS 4.2 or above - mine is stuck on 4.1 at the moment.Â
When clicking on 'Update' in iTunes (9.2.1) nothing happened. So does that mean, this version can't support iOS 5 devices?Â
I tried then downloading the latest version of iTunes but of course it wouldn't install on my ageing G5 Quad which is stuck on OS 10.4.11, as it can't run the latest OS.Â
So it seems I'm stuck in an upgrade loop here. But if I upgrade the phone to iOS 5 from another computer - is it possible that I can still sync successfully from my old version of iTunes or not?Â
I had planned to upgrade my computer this year anyway but it's such a shame we are forced into it in this way. The computer itself still runs just fine but will likely just be heading for the recycling centre due to the abandonment of Power PC software/emulation. Â
Info: PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), G5 Quad 2.5 / 6.5GB RAM
I also have a $10,000+ stereo system, using a Linn Digital Streamer. My entire music collection is in FLAC, much of it in 24-bit, 192khz. I'd love to buy the new MacBook Pro and use iTunes to manage this collection (as FLAC is the accepted standard for downloadable hi-res music). Unfortunately there STILL isn't FLAC support in iTunes. Looks like I'll have to purchase a Dell XPS instead.
The new Podcasts App doesn't seem to have playlist support. Just sent Apple feedback on this. Hope Playlists aren't being dropped like that have been for Video podcasts.
I recently installed Snow Leopard. It works faster than before and it gave me 8GB of space back. But, after looking through Applications in system profiler, I found out iTunes is not 64-bit unlike Safari and other native applications that have been re-written to 64-bit. I remember Apple said iTunes is also re-written. I must download a new version or it's included in an update (I'm waiting the 10.6.2 update to download at the moment)?
Every musician that owns an iPad uses it for their sheet music. Why won't apple officially support sheet music on iTunes? Every sheet music app on the ipad is terrible and apple stands to make a lot of money, seeing as how I would buy all of my sheet music from them if they did it right. This seems like it's right up their alley too, with the strong support of the arts on their devices.
