How can I delete Apps and iBooks from iTunes so that do not constantly re-sync with iPad or iPhone even though I specifically un-check them NOT to sync? I have to go thru this every time! I don't even want them any longer on iTunes (or iPad) but I can't find a way to remove them from iTunes! Apple used to be so easy and intuitive but now so much is hidden/fixed).

I tried downloading different things from my Macbook and it does to " downloads" whereby when I do the same thing on my iphone it goes straight to "ibooks" like I want it to.

How do I delete purchased IBooks out of ICloud?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI fully understand the separate iBooks app in Mavericks. The problem I have is that my iTunes library still shows books available when I go to sync my iPad. The books are NOT in the iBooks app library, yet they still appear as available for syncing (See below). How do I remove them permanently?? I have tried to find a definitive answer, but haven't had any luck.

have a working email address for iTunes / iBooks support? We've been trying to upload books through iTunes Producer and have never had a confirmation that the books have been approved. After waiting a month,we emailed ibookstore@apple.com a few weeks ago but have never heard back.I've been told that Apple take ages to deal with customers but I think 4 weeks is long enough.

How do I transfer my books from Itunes to a Sony reader?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Mavericks, I transferred all of my books from iTunes to iBooks (File > Move Books from iTunes). However, none of the books appear in my bookshelf/library when viewing in iBooks. I tried buying a new book while in iTunes, it downloaded, but it does not appear in my library either. These books are accessible in iBooks via a search but cannot be seen in the library.

I have a dot ibooks file created in ibooks Author. I have used Export to put it in a folder on my Mac (Mavericks) and then used Add to Library to put the dot ibooks file into iBooks. It appears in iBooks on the Mac and I can open it and read it. It does not automatically synch with connected ipad. I have tried putting it into a "Collection" and making sure that "Synch Collections" is checked but it still does not automatically synch. What am I doing wrong? How can I get iBooks on Mac to synch with iBooks on iPad?

I just purchased a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks and transferred my files from an earlier laptop with an earlier OP. I had two files of MS Word documents, each file a title ending in "Book". Mavericks apparently automatically converted both file folders to iBooks, and now when I double-click on them the Terminal launches.
How can I get my folders back with their MS Word content?
An iBook purchased text book no longer displays diagrams so I have tried to restore a previous backup but when I open my iBook library and then enter Time Machine it opens a Finder window for the Desktop, if I then navigate to iBooks app I just get info on the app no access to content. I am using a late 2012 iMac running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.

Has anyone tried to upgrade their old iMac G5 with a new Intel core Duo processor? If so how do I go about installing one?
View 6 Replies View Relatedjust purchased an intel imac (the latest) and wishes to transfer the data from the old non intel G5 to this new mac. During the procedure he has been asked for a passKEY not a passWORD and he has no idea what this is.

OS X 10.4.3 IMAC Intel Core Duo. I backed up my HD on an external drive so I could upgrade to Snow Leopard. I wanted to test that I could boot from the external drive and selected it as my start up drive. When I did a restart I got the Apple and the turning gear and then suddenly a black screen with this on it:
"May 28 22:23:11 Launched:com.apple.nibindd:respawning too quickly throttling, exited system abnormally bad system call too many failures in succession I have no name!"
I tried several dozen times with no luck. I think when I made the copy of my HD on the external HD I may have neglected to make it "bootable" (moving too quickly). My internal CDROM is busted so I use an external CDROM. I can't boot from it at all with the proper start up buttons pushed. It keeps trying to boot from the external drive. If I turn the external drive off and try to boot from the external CD I just get the grey file with the ? in the middle of it.
I tried using another external HD I have with OS 10.4 on it, but it won't recognize it either with fan, alt, shift, delete pressed at start up. My internal drive (a Seagate 2 tarabite drive) works great, but how do I reset it as the start up drive when I'm stuck with this black screen. One more thing, when I try to reset PRAM I don't get a second gong.
