ITunes :: Unable To Download Purchases Onto Authorised IMac
Jun 9, 2012
I have an iMac, iPhone 4 and new iPad all associated with my one and sole Apple ID and all authorised to share the same itunes library (stored on the iMac) when they're in range of my home wifi. I also have automatic downloads set up for music only. Home sharing works fine.
When I download music from itunes on the iMac it appears on the iPhone and the iPad as well. So far, so good. When I download music from itunes on the iPhone it appears on the iMac as well but NOT the iPad.When I download music from itunes on the iPad it appears on the iPhone but NOT the iMac. When I try and use the itunes "download purchases" facility to add it to my iTunes library on the iMac, I get an error message saying the iMac is already associated with an ID and I can't associate it with another one for another 32 days. But I thought I only had the one ID?
Everything is running the most up to date software. It was all bought brand new, either direct from Apple or obtained boxed and sealed from a major retailer. I've only ever had the one ID.
I remember there being a button that said 'download all', which would let you download ALL of your purchased music at the ease of one button. I no longer see this button and instead have to go into each artist name to download the songs for that artist. I have purchased a lot from iTunes, so this can be a long winded task. Is there anyway of being able to download ALL of my music purchases with the click of a button?
Info: iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
I just got a new hard drive and did a clean install. I also installed iTunes, but when I launch it, I can't see any option that allows me to download previously made purchases from the iTunes store. Any ideas how to get it to do this?.......
I have deauthorised and started again, but still have the same problem I have also follwed advice about the SC folder in users/shared but I dont have it. I am running Lion.
I have more than 5 computers authorised to use my account and want my new laptop to have access. I don't have access to the other computers anymore - how do i stop them from having access and allow my new laptop access?
So Apple sells ebooks and audio books through iTunes to people on their Macbooks. RIght? And when you go to sync these purchases to the Apple IOS devices you are told that you can not sync them to the Apple IOS device without erasing all of the rest of your music library on the same IOS device. Right?
I have to stop right here because thoughts of "class action", of feeling having been defruaded, of having been taken for a ride. If I had nown before I bought my iPhone 4s that I would have to purchase all kinds of third party help to make it work only seemingly correct I would have never bought one. If I knew that when Jobs died this was going to happen I would have sold my Macbook right then and there. Tsk Tsk Tsk Mr Cook. So is Apple going to drive 10 hours from the nearest Apple Store to me and hand me a new Macbook without all of the bugs? Will that make me happy? No.
When downloading small files online they will download through Speed Download. Before I installed Speed Download it would just download through the regular downloading client. How do I change it back to using the regular one as standard? I use firefox btw
I recently had my iMac repaired independently, with upgrade to Mavericks from Lion. I am trying to discover if my Apple purchases/upgrades have been recorded online seeing as of today I cannot find my printed Apple receipts or access much of the information/data which was not correctly migrated to my iMac. I would like to recover iDVD if possible.
I Purchased OS X Lion from App Store and installed in same desktop but when I see Purchases in App Store its showing download, not showing install, all other apps like Twitter shows install. OS X Lion not installed correctly or any other problem?
Info: Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7), 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad Core, 24 GB ram
There are five Dr. Who episodes stuck in the downloads que, but I can't download them. They all have a message, "Download Error. Tap tp retry.", but when I do a pop-up window says, "Unable to download episode. "[Episode Name] could not be downloaded at this time"
I was doing a software update in an outdated Mac OS X 10.7.3 to get all the latest updates through its Apple Software Update. However, one of them failed to upgrade: iTunes v10.6.1 to v10.6.3. After rebooting to let Mac OS X 10.7.3 to 10.7.4, Apple Software Updater shows it 97% partially downloaded. I have over 31 GB free, so it can't be a free disk space problem. I tell it to resume download, but it quickly fails from 169 MB to about 172.7 MB (176.9 MB is the whole size) with "The update "iTunes" can't be installed. The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during the downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs."
I think the download is bad and is needs to be manually(?) deleted for me to retry. Where is this corrupted file at?
iMac Currently using 10.7. Will not download 10.9 Maverick. I have enough memory--2 GB, and storage that is required. Why Maverick doesn 't load or do I need the 10.8 installed first?
Was downloading iTunes 9.0.1 on Safari and then it told me 'A networking error has occurred: timed out (-1001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.' But my internet is fine and still working ????
Unable to Download TV Series from iTunes on IMAC works on Macair i get the following error There was a problem downloading Love Is Blind / House, Season 8 / House. You do not have the privilege to make changes.
I have a gateway laptop running vista. I purchased 251 songs and videos on itunes. When I attempts to download I receives the error.
"Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
After running all the useless itunes diags which pass. I contacted Apple and they told him that I needed to modify the network settings. I verified that all network setting where fine. Apple told me it was his computer so I bought a Mac and the error still continue on the new computer.
Previously buying an HD TV show gave you the SD download too, so you could playback on older devices not HD compatible, or perhaps more importantly sync smaller files to iPhones/iPads if you wanted to get more content on sacrificing the resolution. Last few TV shows I've bought only the HD downloads, and no matter how much I fiddle with Prefs and the 'prefer HD when available' checkbox in iTunes Store 'Purchased' I cannot seem to get the SD to download.
I have an Imac. i want to transfer a television episode that my brother bought on itunes from his account on the mac onto mine. I searched the hard drive for the episode but i am still unable to download the episode. i have done this with other episodes.
I just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design? Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)
I have a Macbook Pro and a desktop PC with iTunes installed on each with the same account. However, my iTunes purchases are not reflected the same on each computer. For example, my Macbook has two tv seasons of The Wire that does not appear on my PC iTunes. Also, there are a number of apps on my PC that I don't have on my Mac notebook. This is especially annoying as I sync my iPhone 4 most frequently with my desktop.
