I have read some posts about changing the permissions in the iTunes folder, but not quite sure I understand. Which files should be granted read and write access? Am I in danger of doing further damage to my iTunes folder?

I connected my iPod nano to my MacBook Air, and opened iTunes to put the music I had just bought onto the iPod. Usually an icon appears on the main screen and on the right hand corner of my music list that says"Add to", so you can click that and drag music to your iPod download list. The screen on the iPod should have said "Do not disconnect charger" but nothing happened. The iPod only charged. This happened once before, and it randomly just started working. This time it won't work.

I remember there being a button that said 'download all', which would let you download ALL of your purchased music at the ease of one button. I no longer see this button and instead have to go into each artist name to download the songs for that artist. I have purchased a lot from iTunes, so this can be a long winded task. Is there anyway of being able to download ALL of my music purchases with the click of a button?

I had a fairly extensive music collection and recently i had to get a new hard drive. I didn't think it would be a big deal because i had always updated itunes Match. But iTunes match isn't showing me my library to download my music again.Â
Did i completely misunderstand iTunes Match? Do i have to start over?Â
All the music properly downloads on my iphone but not my mac.
I've recently bought my macbook pro. I can see my the music i have previously bought on my iPhone in iTunes but cloud symbol next to most music. When I try to play any of these or download new songs I get error message -45054. I have checked and have shared folder in Users which I understand is important for iTunes. I am running OSX 10.9.4.

Im a little confused with the way itunes organizes songs. Last night I added some of my cds to itunes and I got a little confused after trying to find my songs and not being on one spot which is what I was expecting to see or at least separated by album.
Where does itunes places downloaded songs from a CD? How can I organize my songs (after uploaded) by Artist and Album? Can I create a playlist for each Artist is this the right way to do it? Can someone show me the way the music should be organized in itunes? Can someone explain how itunes organizes songs by default or direct me to where I can get the right information?
I'm having problems accessing my music in iTunes. I've been into preferences and pointed to the folder where the music is stored, (it's stored on a separate hard drive) but without success. I've copied the songs back to the original folder, but that doesn't work. Been on other forums and on the net but no progress.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my computer ( new HD and memory) and i am trying to transfer new music from my macbook to my iphone 3g (running 5.1.1) when I initially opened iTunes it had me upgrade to 10.6.3, now I am unable to drag and drop music onto my iphone like I used to. I have checked manually manage music and videos but when I attempt to apply it, I get the message > The iPhone is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library. As I have just installed a new hard drive and didn't want to transfer over my old info, my drive is empty, if I sync with the contents of my iTunes library, it will erase my phone completely as the HD is new and EMPTY.Is there anyway around this? I used to be able to drag and drop my music from my hard-rive or even straight from iTunes and now nothing happens at all. I'm not sure where the change was made, but is there a way to fix it or get around it? I am also unable to delete songs from my iphone using itunes.

around 100 of my songs wont transfer because it says that the purchases are not authorised for this computer or account or something like that. Yet the others transferred no problems and they are from the old account as well. What do i do? or is there and easier way to trasfer my music onto my new itunes account so that i get all my music?
