May 20, 2009
I'm doing a fresh install of the operating system on my MacBook Pro and I was wondering how I could make a back-up of the websites I made in iWeb and re-import them after I did the clean install?

1. I've had some trouble publishing with iWeb. The issue on Firefox seems to have gone away after my internet hosting company apparently "fixed" some DNS zones issues but the problem still exists when I view the pages in Safari. The website is [URL]. Notice how (in Safari) the "John O"Leary" at the top of the page seems to bounce but only if the page is not already in the browser's cache.
2. I've published a number of sites to folders. Is there any way to re-open these sites in iWeb to edit them or is the only way to do this to save the "Domain.sites" file under: User / Library / Application Support / iWeb?

Apple say they are stopping paid web hosting and backup with MobileMe. How do you publish your galleries and websites elsewhere or are Apple coming out with a new publishing and video solution?

first MacRumors is brilliant, I never contributed much, after all any question I had was here answered already. Kudos to the Community! the question is quite simple: where can I find the config files of the network/ airport?I am asking for this scenario: I upgraded my Macbook Pro HDD, the old one is in a case connected to the MBP, I did not format it, all is there, so I can easily access all the files. Well, my ports connection sucks here where I live... And it took me a loooong time to find the ports that should be open and which IP to forward and so on. I could (the long way) install the HDD again and just Screen Shot all the specs and do all over again in the new HDD, but it would be good to know how to save this configuration (I am assuming there is a file, but I can't find it...).

(How many i's can I type in a paragraph?!?!)
I have searched the online and tried several options. I tried publishing it to a folder on my iBook, copied it to the iMac but can't find a way to import it into my iWeb on my iMac.

I'm using an iMac with Mac OS 10.5.8 as a desktop and a MacBook with 10.6.8 when I travel. I want to transfer my entire Address Book from the MacBook back to my iMac. I have done the reverse multiple times with no problem by simply creating an archive with Address Book (v.4.1.2) and importing it on my MacBook (Address Book v. 5.0.3). But when I do the reverse, the only vcards that show up are the ones I've updated while using my MacBook. All the rest are gone. I know I can recover all the vcards by shift-clicking the entire list and copying them as a file. However, I want to revover all my group lists, which are too many to recreate.

My problem its pretty simple. When I choose "Desktop folder" as destination to import/export in my applications, the entire app freezes.
For example: If i want to open a photo which are in "desktop" with photoshop with the "Open..." option, the "choose destination" pop-up window that appear freezes and I have to Force Quit. If i choose another folder, nothing happens.Â

I accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?
I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy iWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account

I've created a site with a theme in iWeb 08 that has been removed from iWeb 09. I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?

So i've recently gotten in the uploading to YouTube craze with my Flip Mino HD but i'm not too happy at the way i've been doing this and am hoping there is an easier way.
As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, I can no longer import P2 footage. I get the stop sign and error: no data.In the import window I can play the clip and everything is fine, but when I add to the clip to the import queue it just times out.
Any thoughts? Is it somehow related to Quicktime being updated by Snow Leopard?

I recently purchased an MP3 album from Amazon, which downloaded fine. Unlike previous times, however, the Amazon Downloader app didn't load the music into my iTunes library. I tried to manually add the album to my iTunes Library, with no luck. I was able to load the album into my iPhone Music app by dragging and dropping on my iPhone device in iTunes (after turning off iTunes Match).. If I double-click on the songs on my hard drive, they will play in iTunes, but do not import.Â
I am running Mac OS 10.7.3, iTunes 10.6.1 (7) and have iTunes Match active on my computer.

Ultimate Objective - export a playlist to a USB stick to play in my truck radio.I would like the final product to be in the same format as an MP3 CD (i.e., with folders, etc).Current Status - I know I can drag the playlist to the USB and it will dump all of the files into one folder (ROOT).The problem is that my truck stereo only recognizes 100 songs per folder. So I get the first 100 songs and that is it.A way to do this - create MP3 CDs and then copy them to the USB stick. That is very painful due to the fact that I have over 6GB of music that I want to end up on my USB stick.
What I'm wondering is if there is any way to get iTunes to burn to a folder (instead of a CD). That way, I could just burn a series of folders on my local drive. Then I could just copy those to the USB stick. Something else that I thought of.Does anyone know of an app or script that will take a group of MP3 files and sort them into folders based on artist/album/whatever.
