ITunes :: 10.6.1 - Unable To Use Apple TV?

Since installing 10.6.1 (which I was very much looking forward to, for the TV Show sort order bug fix), I can't use Apple TV (gen 2) at all for streaming my own movies. It'll play somewhere between 0 and 30 seconds of video (usually closer to 0), then give "An error occurred". I have installed it on two different Macs, one running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, one running Lion 10.7.3. Same error streaming from both machines.  I reverted the SL machine back to 10.6, since that machine holds most of my media, and the error went away. Â

For a long time, I used my e-mail address as my Apple ID. It has my music and all that other stuff associated on it. I bought MobileMe and now have the @me.com e-mail address, which has an AppleID as that e-mail address. Trying to change the old AppleID to the new e-mail address (ie. entering the new e-mail address in the Change AppleID box of the old account.) results in it telling me that that ID is already in use (by me, obviously). How can I merge the IDs, or somehow move my iTunes music to the new AppleID?

My Apple ID is in good standing (or else I wouldn't be posting in this community).But when I try to make a purchase in iTunes, it stops me saying that my Apple ID has been disabled..This has been going on all day, so it's not a matter of waiting for the system to update with my new email address (I wouldn't think).I've tried authorizing this computer for iTunes, and it is already authorized.What else should I try?

I have a brand new MBP. I have a 1tb external drive with 250gb's of music. I have it attached to my mac via USB. I CANNOT GET ITUNES TO CREATE A NEW LIBRARY ON THE EXTERNAL DRIVE. I CANNOT DRAG AND DROP OR ADD FILE/FOLDER.
But get this, I hook it up to my old Dell and I can do whatever I want. I am friggin pissed that I spent all this money on Mac equip and can't get it going. You may have seen my other post where I posed my issue of: 1tb ethernet drive hooked to airport extreme. Above mentioned 1tb hooked up to back of it via usb. I am completely unable to copy, move, or add files using my mac. But guess what. my pc handles it easily and quickly.

From a certain moment now i could not surf on some web sites as Facebook (really long to open, then html text on the left,[URL]etc) also when i want to update my apps on iTunes, he sais cannot connect to iTunes store, weired. I already empty the cache, and cookies on Firefox, dosent do anything, oh! And as same for chrome, safari and internet explorer. It seems that the big sites are blocked.I work on iMac g5 os lion 10.7.2, processor 3.06 GHz, Firefox 10.0, iTunes 10.5.3 no firewall

I have an iBook G4 that runs on OS X. Today, my software update box popped up, and I downloaded the new version of itunes. It worked. Then the other update didn't finish. I'm not sure if that's connected. Now, my itunes won't open. When I first tried, nothing would happen. So I restarted the computer, but it wouldn't full restart (stuck on the box with an apple, acting like it was starting up but never did). So I did an archive install with my discs. That worked. But now when I try to open itunes, a box pops up and says that "you cannot use this application with this version of OS X." What?? I feel tricked and panicky. What can I do?

I changed my AppleID in System Preferences, but the old ID comes up under iCloud and I get an error box saying my "ID or password are incorrect". How do I get rid of the old ID which now doesn't work with either my old or new password?

I recently upgraded my system HDD to an SSD with a new install of OSX 10.6.4 and mimicked the settings I had on my previous set up to replicate it. however, when for example I was using iTunes to play music the screen saver would come on and a short time later the system would pause iTunes and goes into Sleep mode.
my previous install never did that so I'm not sure if its because of the SSD and it not being mechanical it doesnt recognize it accessing or seeking 'per se' because regardless of unchecking "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" it still does it. here is an image of energy saver settings; btw I had the system plugged into and still went into sleep mode when iTunes was playing and even other media formats such as Video in iTunes or VLC.

I have a batch of HD video downloads in my iTunes Store queue that I can't delete. Before it was annoying, having to purchase both the regular video and HD video, then delete the unwanted HD download from my queue list, but now it's a problem. I can't empty the unwanted HD downloads, and for me to download them all will tie up my connection for a week or more.

I have an account I use for iTunes. For reasons I cannot fathom, when I try to sign up for iCloud using that username/password, Lion comes back with "This Apple ID cannot be used to sign in to iCloud. Create a new Apple ID or sign in with a different one." I do NOT want yet another Apple ID and I certainly don't want to have one different from what I use in iTunes for purchases.

We have published our app and updated our app several times. But now we cannot upload our app anymore for review. We get stuck on the following error:Â

Unable to authenticate the package:
ERROR ITMS-7002: "Caught exception validating "MZItmspRootPackage.validateLanguageCodeExists"" at (MZItmspRootPackage)Â
We do not have any clue what could be the problem. We reversed our code to the previous version and tried to upload the binary again but without success. Â

I am just about to make the transition to iCloud from mobile me but before I do that I am trying to change my apple id. Â
When I log in to the 'My Apple ID' page and edit my details, it will not give me the option to edit my apple id. Is there something else that I need to do or once you have an apple id are you stuck with it?Â

I was wondering if such software exist. I have a mac pro in my home office and would like to also plug a second monitor (HD TV) in the living room. Is there a way for me to see what is showing on the TV? I want to use that instead of streaming to my apple TV in the living room which is unable to play 1080p movies. Of course I don't want to mirror both monitors, I would like to be able to look at my emails in the office while my girlfriend watch a movie.

I'm trying to use Apple Mail with a Gmail IMAP account but I'm about to give up. I used exactly the same settings suggested on the gmail site but the service works very bad. Messages take forever to download, often I click on them and the preview window starts spinning. It also hangs frequently while synching or caching and I have to do a force quit. Is somebody using this in a profitable way?

I am having difficulty with the Mail signature function. I have been able to make one however I am having the following problems:
- When I add an attachment the images I have (business logo and signature) also attach as an attachment and are removed from the body of the email.
- The images do not show all the time when I send these to my business email.

I wanted to reformat my computer to "factory setting" and inserted the usb that came along with the mba i bought. Clicked install and restarted and followed instruction.
When the installation was done and computer rebooted, i didn't see any changes at all. Everything was exactly the same.
Anyone knows what's wrong?
Really wants to reset my computer...

For the last week or two, my apple mail has no longer been receiving my gmail. I have done nothing to the preferences.
Has anyone else had this problem and would anyone know how to fix it?
All I can think is something may have changed on their servers in the UK since it changed to 'googlemail', however, I managed to get a 'gmail' address before the switch.

I have an aluminum wired apple keyboard and I'm trying to rearrange the keys to a Dvorak layout. Everything went fine except for 4 keys in the top row (the row right below the numbers). For some reason, I can't put 4 keys back in over there.
