View 1 Replies View RelatediTunes repeatedly asks from my account ID/password -- not only each time I open it, but it won't accept (the correct) entry when I enter it, so just keeps asking. Not entering the password and cancelling doesn't work. It reopens immediately upon quitting with the same request. Can't force quit either.iTunes unable to load class data from sync services. Hi, I recently updated Safari on the Mac (as prompted by software updater!) Since the update when I try to sell on eBay I'm constantly asked to sign in after every page or operation and then when I go to list it crashes out? This is meaning it takes 1hr to list a product compared to 5mins?

I want to change my Apple ID email to my iCloud adress, the @me.com. But appearantly that is not possible yet. Is it just me or is there a way to do this? Or do I just have to wait until they realize and fix it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a bit confused about how MobileMe works with Mail. Does it only do push functionality with the "yourname@me.com" email address or can I use it with my other pop personal mail accounts.
I have a couple of email accounts loaded into Mail as well as my iphone and I would love for them to be linked.
If I send an email with a non me.com email account from my iphone should it appear in my sent messages on my computer?
Since I updated to iCloud, (which may or may not be related) Mail on my MacBookPro 10.6.8 has been unable to connect to MobileMe more than once or twice per day. Mail on my iPhone 4 and my old iMac has no problems. When there is no service a yellow warning triangle appears adjacent to the Inbox and Connection Doctor reports,"Trying to log into this MobileMe IMAP account failed. Verify that username and password are correct." Since it does fetch Mail from time to time they cannot be wrong.... can they? Should I update to 10.7 and if so what does that entail?

Apple has launched its new beta V2 update of the MobileMe web-based Calendar, sending users announcements that allows them to opt into the new program, which brings shared calendaring and an iPad-like appearance.
Opting into the new beta upgrades the calendar data in a way that makes any changes connected to the new format. Users who choose to leave the beta will lose updated changes, as Apple warns in the signup process.
The new Calendar requires users to upgrade to the latest iOS 4 for iPhone and iPod touch, the latest Mac OS X 10.6.4 or the most recent MobileMe Control Panel 1.6.1 for Windows, and demands a modern web browser, minimally Safari 4, Firefox 3.6, or Internet Explore 8.
Apple also notes that the new calendar beta does not support Microsoft Outlook behind a proxy server, and does not support push updates for Windows and iPad users. The iPad will fetch new data when its Calendar is opened, while Outlook running on Windows will fetch new event data every five minutes. Other iOS devices and Mac will continue to receive push updates normally.
Users with lots of calendar data may be warned that their older data will be incrementally upgraded over the next hour.
The new MobileMe Calendar features an iPad-like slider control at the bottom for rapidly navigating to future and previous months, and a calendar and notes view that appear to be tear off pads of paper. Also like the iPad Calendar, it presents a Day summary and List view of upcoming events.
MobileMe users can opt in to the new beta by logging in and requesting an invite. The new Calendar update is the latest in an overhaul series that began with Mail. The new updates use the latest SproutCore frameworks to create a very desktop-like experience.

I am unable to obtain my .me mail via "Mail" on my PPC iMac.
I tried deleting the account and creating new account in Mail. I get the caution icon and I am repeatedly prompted for my password.
I am able to obtain my mail from the same account on other iMacs and devices.

If the mobileme sync services not longer work after moving to iCloud, how do you sync your mail/calendar/contacts across multiple Apple devices?

After I moved to iCloud it took few days for my mail account [URL] to work on my iphone and PC computer but is still gray on my macmini and would not allow me to access at all.

Why not have Apple move all iDisk contents automatically or by request to iCloud? Why do I need to copy and paste my saved iDisk items back to my MAC or storage device? The iDisk items are already located in an Apple server, so transfer them to iCloud.

Something seems to be wrong with my MobileMe syncing. I recently did a hard drive replacement in my MBP due to a failing hard drive. I did a complete mirror of my hard drive and everything is working fine except for MobileMe. I am able to sync all MobileMe items except for the Calender. When it gets to alendar syncing a window pops up with the following:
You need to replace your Calendar information on MobileMe
If this computer has the most current information, click Replace. If the most current information is on another computer, cick Fix Later and replace your information on that computer.
Obviously my only two options to click are Fix Later and Replace.
The problem is while I was unable to use my computer I was using my iPhone mostly with the calendar which of course synced to my MobileMe account.
I don't want to choose Replace since this computer was not used for approximately 2 weeks so is not at all up to date.
I can choose Fix Later but I never get any other options.
I simply need to have this computer get the information from MobileMe and place it on this computer since both my iphone and MobileMe is up to date but I never get that option.
How do I do this (take info from MobileMe and put on this computer)?
Thank you for your help.
This was a big selling point of the service -- being able to send direct links to people via email to allow them to download files from your iDisk (like [URL]). Not only is it not there, but according to a thread on Apple Support, Apple has removed the video presentation of the feature from the web site.

Since 19th May 2012 I have not been able to receive e mails on my mac and can only access mobileme mails by logging onto the internet. I've tried all the obvious things to get it working but to no avail.Funny thing is that I can send e mails no problem from my mac but cannot receive - the only thing that does come thru is Applenews.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince installing 10.6.1 (which I was very much looking forward to, for the TV Show sort order bug fix), I can't use Apple TV (gen 2) at all for streaming my own movies. It'll play somewhere between 0 and 30 seconds of video (usually closer to 0), then give "An error occurred". I have installed it on two different Macs, one running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, one running Lion 10.7.3. Same error streaming from both machines. I reverted the SL machine back to 10.6, since that machine holds most of my media, and the error went away.

I have an account I use for iTunes. For reasons I cannot fathom, when I try to sign up for iCloud using that username/password, Lion comes back with "This Apple ID cannot be used to sign in to iCloud. Create a new Apple ID or sign in with a different one."I do NOT want yet another Apple ID and I certainly don't want to have one different from what I use in iTunes for purchases.
