I've been loading pics to Shutterfly for years with no problems. I have no idea what happened but I suspect it has something to do with my teenage children. Now when I go to load pictures I can't find them.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to get my photos out of iphoto in applications 179mb and put them into my iphoto library in pictures but I cant do it I have tried using import but iphoto in applications is not highlighted.
all my pictures out of applications and into my library.
Also when I try and connect my camera to import my pictures my computer keeps looking for my time capsule.
Can you manually scroll through pictures when your screensaver is running (Leopard)? I used to be able to do this on my PC by pressing the left/right arrow. Trying this on my mac interrupts the screensaver and returns me to the desktop.

I have been using my 13" MBP since the 7th of August and since the first day the internet has been slow and it won't load pictures half the time! It will load a little blue question mark instead of the picture! I have three other apple computers and a netbook on wireless (not all at the same time, just to check internet speeds) and they all work perfectly so it isn't the router and it isn't 10.5.8 because I have not installed it!

have used migration assistant to transfer music and photo files from my mbp to imac - used network not firewire - all seamed to work - said it was complete - now cannot seam to find the files on the imac - was i a bit too hopeful that they would just pop in to iphoto and itunes? could someone let me know where they will be?

Would anyone know an explanation for a strange problem I have had on several machines with QuickTime 4 & 5. It happened originally with our original first model bondi-blue iMac. On installing either of the two programmes to replace QT 3, I found that every other picture clicked on would receive the answer that QT could not find an appropriate decompresser. If one then clicked on the same picture twice (or on any other picture at all) the original picture or the second picture would open without complaint. The ability to open and the failure to do so were always in rigid succession. If one selected 20 pics at once to open, the ability to do so and the failure followed the same rigid pattern. +-+-+-+-+- etc. But the video viewer installed with 4 or 5 worked fine.
The problem is still topical as I have a PowerMac 7100 running OS 8.5 and today I installed QT 5 on it, and immediately the same alternate problem started.
i have 4 hard drives in my mac and want to find all the pictures,or jpegs,and put them all in one folder.i can find them searching with finder but it want let me save them all to one folder.am i asking for something that cant be done or is there software that may let me do it.probably 400,000 pictures and not all in iphoto .

Story: I took my mac out of sleep and found that the trackpad was not functioning.After a little time, I decided just to reboot. I hit the power button and then hit restart, but it could not restart because for some reason, Skype was not closing. Finally, I just decided to force restart by holding power button. I turned computer back on, and it was stuck on the gray loading screen. I waited about 20 minutes and then turned it off.
I've reset PRAM, repaired permissions/disk (from Leopard disk). I finally got past the login screen and got on my desktop. When I clicked on the airport on menu bar, I noticed another problem; Airport Card not installed. I rebooted again, reset PRAM, and found I was back in the same situation again; stuck on loading. I checked system profiler and it recognized my airport card, so that is not dead. I decided to finally archive and reinstall OSX. Now I've been stuck on the "about 10 minute" mark for about an hour now. Thinking of just quitting install and trying to reboot again.
I have installed Leopard on my iMac, works great, and my Macbook. For some reason on the Macbook installation I am unable to find any of the standard desktop pictures available. It lists the standard folders, but has no images or even allow standard colors. It does allow me use a picture of my own but none of the standard pictures.

I feel that I am running out of storage memery too soon. I have a feeling that while migrating all my pictures/videos from pc to mac I might have done something wrong an i have duplicate files. me and my grandma are planning on getting a family pack MobileMe account to save money instead of having two accounts. She has a trial account currently, so from what I understand is tomorrow I go buy the family pack box set, set up my account (which will be the master account), cancel her account (disable synching on her iPhone before hand), add her account under account options in my account, and viola.Now here's my question:Since we will both be on the same 'family pack,' will she be able to view my emails, find my iPhone, pictures, or anything else? And vice versa.What I'm hoping is that even though they are in the same family pack, you will have to log in with each specific account (via password) to see mail, contacts, etc

I accidentally dropped my "Applications Folder" off my Dock when I first got my Mac and it disappeared. When I put it back by dragging the applications folder onto the Dock, instead of assuming the Applications Folder logo, it took on the logo of the first application in my Applications Folder: the Address book. Now, my desktop permanantly has the picture of the Address Book instead of the picture of the Applications Folder.
How do I fix this? ive followed other thread advice with no luck. Is there a way to re-set the Dock? Where does the logo live and how do I get it back there?
I have recently found some floppy disks with artwork files on that I created many years ago on an Amiga computer. Thing is most of these files have the .IFF extension.
Does anybody know an a program or a way to either view these files or covert them to .JPEG so that I can see them on my Mac ?
