I had a problem sending mail. I tried several times to fix it, finally decided to delete the mailbox and start over. I try and try but the mailbox is still there stuck trying to get mail even though all the old mail is gone and no mail comes through.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSomehow, I now have two Yahoo accounts on my laptop (I think it happened when I updateed snow leopard a couple of months ago).This resulted in double messages to my iPhone, which put me over my data usage. When I tried to remove one of the yahoo accounts by "delete mailbox" on my laptop, the mailbox remained and the mail remained but the message contents in both Yahoo accounts were empty!

As soon as I opened it, the comp/ shut down. When I try to delete the email it will not go anywhere!!
I have a Mailbox that I want to delete from Mail.app.
I can right click it, select delete. And it gives the warning. I select OK and it does nothing. I have tried it through the menu system too, and the same result.
Any idea how to delete the mailbox? The deal is I set it up to an email that I cannot access via POP and it is constantly trying to access it but can't, obviously.

I recently transferred all my data from a MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air. I have an old Groupwise mailbox on my Pro which has been offline for over a year since my company switched from Groupwise to Outlook. After the Groupwise acct went offline the option to delete the mailbox has been greyed out. I'm trying to get this old mailbox off my Air now, after it transferred with everything else. How can I delete this old account?

During the last week or so I have received several emails form Microsoft exchange telling me that my mail box is almost full and to delete any unnecessary emails and empty my Deleted Items folder. I had about 14 pages of past emails and so I worked my way through them, deleted ones I did not need and then emptied my deleted file....thinking that this would solve my problem. I have since received more reminders, and interestingly the bar showing how much space I have left is unchanged! (491) even after dumping more emails! I now am down to about 9 pages in total and still I am receiving these messages. Should I be deleting files from somewhere else too?

I purchased a OWC external hard drive case and I've been going through my old hard drives which originally were used in my Windows XP computer. The drives were contaminated with Windows viruses and so I installed the drives one by one in the OWC case and proceeded to delete files and programs which I didn't need in each drive while in OS X and keeping the files I wanted to save in each respective drive. Now what I'm faced with is a Trash bin filled with Windows XP software (including Windows XP itself) which I cannot delete because OS X says I don't have permission to delete those files.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI forgot my admin password on my iMac recently and so i used the reboot with OS X snow leopard install disc to reset the keychain, but now on my login screen, it used to be just my account name, there is one called "Other" so i went into accounts in system preferences and tried to delete it but it isnt there?is really annoying me p.s. the "other account" isnt actually an account it says "Other" and when you click on it asks for your username and password...so i type in the admin accounts name and password (admin account is the only one on this computer), and it just opens up my admin account.

I read somewhere that all you need to do is drag and drop the icon in the trash and it should be gone. Well I tried that with Bumptop and it didn't work. I liked the program a lot and I thought it looked cool but I don't have enough icons on my desktop to run it and make use of it. On the Safari tabs at top, "Bookmark" tab, just under "bookmarks bar"option are two websites that are not websites that I have bookmarked. I can't make them go away.
