Jun 4, 2014How can I de-activate the headphone slot? the plug of my headphone broke and is stuck in the slot. :-( Or, how can I remove the plug?

Jun 4, 2014I have a Imac 27" - suddenly it seems it freeze - I can move the cusor with the pad - but clicking dosn't activate the function. I have tried to restart (power off) but still the same. I succeded once to get i alive for 15 min. then it stopped working again. The Imac 27 is opdated and less than one year old.

Jun 2, 2009I have my stereo plugged into the headphone jack but would like the sound to also come from the internal speakers when the stereo is off without unplugging the jack in back.I tried going to the sound control panel but it only lists the headphone jack. Is there a way to do this?

OS X :: Can't Activate Noatime On New IMac?
Jan 3, 2011I just gained my new iMac iMac, 27-inch, 2.93GHz Core i7, 8Gb, 1Tb+256GB SSD, ATI 5750 with this type of SSD:APPLE SSD TS256B. And now I want to deactivate atime (so to activate noatime) and I can't do it. Well, I have done everything like written here [URL] but after typing mount nothing have happened I didn't see noatime. Who knows the solution of these problem? May be in last iMacs we can not activate noatime cause OS X doesn't need it?

Nov 4, 2010I have an iMac 27 and I want to connect it to a HDTV samsung 46 full HD. I have conected from displayport to HDMI and i get the screen. But at the same time I have connected a 3,5 minijack from the computer to the RCA audio in of the TV but I dont get sound. I have checked the config of the TV and I dont find any place to activate it. Then, talking about the screen. I have few questions.
How can I stop the screen on the iMac and work only with the HDTV?
How can I config that the windows on the tv have bigger letters while they keep on the same way on the i Mac's screen?
The tv is kind of far away and is difficult to see the letters.

Feb 4, 2009My internal speakers work fine. When I plug in headphones, the left side has normal audio for about one second, then becomes barely audible. The right side is barely audible all the time. If I unplug them, and re-plug them, the same exact thing happens. Everything looks good in the sound properties page. I know the headphones work because I tried them in another device.

PowerPC :: IMac G3 Slot Loader - Can't Read DVD+R
Oct 4, 2006First and foremost I should tell you that I am a new convert from Windows.
I'm currently running OS X 10.3 and find that I can not read any of my DVD+R discs but I can read my CDRs just fine. My guess is that the optical drive is simply too old to recognize the DVD+R format. Is this correct?
My alternative to this would be to purchase a firewire external drive enclosure and put one of my newer dvd burners in it, but would I be able to boot from this type of connection or do I have to actually buy a "superdrive"?

Jun 3, 2007Until yesterday, my iMac G3 slot is working fine, but today, I can't power it up. When I press the power button, the light just flash and then went off. I've opened it up to check the PRAM batt and also checked if there are any shorts on the logic board. All looked ok to me. The HDD is working fine and I supposed the power supply unit is fine too.
