May 5, 2012My MacBook shuts down on random percentages when used on battery power. I can only use it for FIVE minutes before it shuts down. And as I said, it shuts down before the battery runs down to 0%.

MacBook Pro :: Says Not Charging But Percentage Of Battery Going Up
May 15, 2012When I plug my charger into my macbook pro it says "not charging" where the percentage is in the top right corner. The light on the bit that's plugged into the macbook pro goes green then orange. However the percentage of battery seems to be going up, but the little battery icon has the energy bolt sign and not the charging one.

Oct 25, 2009For the last few days I've been worrying about my battery, I know it's silly and everything, but it's supposed to have 7 hours. It will go for a good 5 hours, sometimes more than that. But the percentage rate seems to be going down quite quickly. e.g half an hour ago it was at 73%, now at 62%. The battery time also changes quickly, from 6 hours 42, to 2hrs 32, back up to 4hours, etc. I have checked the condition on Coconut Battery and it's at 100%.

I am trying to paste chemical structures from Chemdraw into my slides, however each item I paste have different size. However, my chemical compounds are a specific size that I need to keep constant.Is there a way for me to alter the size of items i'd like to post by altering the percentages? In the past, I'd alter the item's properties in powerpoint and change the item's size percentage.

IMac :: Wrong CPU Idle Percentage In Activity Monitor
Feb 13, 2010I have a new, week 7, 27" iMac with 2.8 quad core CPU. Activity Monitor shows the "% idle" number jumping anywhere from 49% to 99% (but usually stays around 49%), when I'm actually 99% idle. The "% user" and "% system" numbers are less than 1% when the computer is idle. They just don't add up to 100%. Does anyone else see this? The left top of the computer is hotter than any computer I have had before. This is the third computer that Apple has sent with this problem. Apple Care just says to send it back.

May 30, 2012The problem is this: when I try to turn off my IMac, the desktop disappears and the display becomes white, without anything else. It may stay in this way for several hours, maybe days.
I only can turn it off by pushing the on/off button for ten seconds. The start up is also very slow.

I firts noticed this when trying to update my ipad and iphone to ios5.1 itunes kept showing the message "connecting to the iphone software actualisation server" but it stayed this way for hours. I think i touched something in Terminal i didn't had to.Can anyone tell me how to reput iTunes in to its default settings using Terminal?

Sure, I can download it manually, BUT it makes me really annoyed if something on my Mac works not as good as it should.

Jun 23, 2014I have an iMac and am running OS X 10.8.5. I am trying to re-install my HP desk jet software but when I put the disc in, it doesn't pop up on the desktop and I can't find it in Finder. There's nothing in Devices. I've looked at all the settings and cannot understand why it's so difficult to run the disc. In System Preferences > CDs & DVDs, I have tried both all options including open in Finder and "Ask what to do". Nothing happens.
