For the last couple of weeks, while using various programs (Firefox, Word for Mac, etc) my computer (or the individual program) has crashed. Also, After sleep, the G5 would not awake even if I pressed the power button. I changed the Energy Saving schedule to 15 minutes for both settings. Before it was an hour. We had to actually shut of the power supply and turn it on again. Then it started up.

Got the computer a couple days ago and firefox has been crashing a lot. I cleared the history and cache but it still crashes. I did a quick search and it seems like a lot of people are having this issue and there's no solution for it. I was doing something very important and this has been pissing me off. If I don't find a fix I'm going to return this POS as the only web browser I like is Firefox. It's rarely ever given me any problems on windows based computers.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas Firefox been crashing for anyone lately? Opera also crashed on me too, for the first time.
Iv'e download software like Net Beans and CodeBlock, CodeLite.
My Safari has been crashing for MONTHS now but recently it would do so more when opening up Youtube on another tab, so I resorted to using firefox for that. But now Safari will crash for NO reason, I'd simply check my email then open another tab and BAM it crashes and lately it wont even let me send the report to apple! And on top of that Firefox wont even open for a second before that crashes too!
Also, I downloaded the new version of Flash, but it wouldn't work on safari and from reading on here I found out the new version wasn't compatible with my mac os x version so I uninstalled and reinstalled the old version like someone said to do and it worked for firefox but it still wasn't working for safari.
Anyways, I tried the "remove flackback" thing and it said "No flashback malware found"... so I have no clue what's going on.

I have a MacBook and it works with OS X v.10.5.8.A week ago I noticed that my saved usernames on my Gmail accounts were no longer coming up (or auto filling)No pop-ups offering to save passwords to new sites. This afternoon Safari crashed and keeps crashing. I cannot send report to Apple. I've checked for software update from the drop down menu and it says that no updates are available.

When I attempt to open a pdf file in Firefox I get a dialog box asking me to "Open with" or "Save to Disk"? The problem is the "Open with" lists only an old app that I no longer have, and doesn't give me a choice to select which app to use. If I go ahead and click OK it opens in Preview which is fine, but why does the dialog box only show an old app that is no longer available? How this this info get filled in, and how can I fix this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedOut of nowhere Firefox suddenly won't open. When I click the on the icon in the dock, it hops a few seconds, then stops. Nothing else happens. I've tried downloading and deleting it a couple of times, but the same things happens. The computer is 15" MBP, 2 GB from early 2009.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with Safari and Firefox crashing regularly since installing Snow Leopard last week. I have a feeling it might have something to do with Flash, as earlier today Flash itself was crashing in my browser without actually taking the whole app down with it.

Ever since I installed the latest Office 2008 update (moving Entourage up to v12.2.7), Entourage has crashed at least once a day when I open an unread e-mail. Seems like it happens more often when there are images embedded in the e-mail, like when someone has one in their signature, but I honestly can't tell what the rhyme or reason is for it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen using either Firefox or Safari, recently, to watch instant movies via Netflix, the browser unexpectedly closes. Sometimes it gets to the buffering stage. I've cleared all my private data (history, caches, cookies...) and redownloaded flash/shockwave. I have the most current Silverlight too.
Any ideas? It worked perfectly since I've had it (about a month or two), up until today.
This is the weirdest thing, Firefox sometimes crashes when I press +Q to quit it. I cannot figure out what is causing the crashes, but it occurs most frequently on the site [URL] where xxxx are 4 digits I can't seem to remember (KoLmafia's relay browser). Most of the time it does not crash. The few times it does, it always does it on quit.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using an iMac(seen in sig.) and I had installed Photoshop, and while of course a little slow due to Rosetta it worked. Then maybe a week ago, it just seemed to stop opening up and crashing immediately. I'm running OSX 10.4.8, everything is properly updated and I've reinstalled photoshop a few times to no avial. The problem didn't seem to occur after any change, I might have just not noticed it though.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Snow Leopard and CS5.5 about three weeks ago. All was working fine and then two days ago Photoshop stopped opening files. The Adobe crash report indicated that it's an Apple bug on file save/open, and when I did some research on the internet it indicated that (even from back i 2009) this is known bug.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI loved the speed improvements Snow Leopard gave to my computer, but I knew that I would have to do a clean install sooner or later. Now, Safari and Firefox are crashing frequently (multiple times a day!) and everything is slowing down again. I'm hoping a reinstall of the operating system will fix that. However, I used up all 5 installs on my Family Pack. Can I reinstall Snow Leopard with that disc, even though all 5 installs have been used? Do I need to buy another copy? Can the Genius Bar do the clean reinstall for me while my computer is there for other repairs?

My OS is Leopard 10.5.0. I updated my quicktime to 7.4.5, then when i rebooted, finder and spolight arent opening and crashing. Then, with appcleaner, i uinstalled QuickTime, but the problem continued. So i deleted the QTKit.framework, the console pointed it by the center of the error, so i did it. I also deleted the plists or something like that, reseted the pram and nothing, repaired permissions, verified disks and nothing!! I tryed to install the combo updater 10.5.2, but for some reason, while in the 'choose drive' part, the program freezes.I also tryed to install via terminal, but i got this:
Machine Specs:
MacBook Pro 15''
2 ghz Intel Core Duo
2 Gb DDR2
80 GB HD SATA
