Mar 13, 2012I run a small business which has a new Mac Mini 10.7 and iMacs 10.5.8 which we currently store all our on-going work on a Hard Drive connected via ethernet. However, I want to try and achieve the following:
1 storage device for all work (around 1TB in size)
Access to my work from home, main office or another office
Work directly on drive (don't want to download, amend, and re-upload)
Access via various Mac OS, from 10.5-10.7
Not too expensive! Is there any on-line storage site or Live Hard Drive I can use to gain access to my work, work live directly to from various locations using the Macs as above, or am I just dreaming of something that does not exist?
I hope this makes sense, it foes to me, but do ask if I am talking gobbledegook!

I have the iTunes View setup as: Show movies in the cloud However all my cloud content (links) has disappeared. I can only see what is physically downloaded. The artwork with the little cloud banner is not there anymore.

Apr 17, 2012I nearly purchased and downloaded James Cameron's Aliens, when I noticed below the purchase buttons the note that This movie will not be available from iTunes in the Cloud. Why? Isn't that point of a digital copy? I could just as easily buy a used DVD cheaper and rip it. The film is still for sale in the iTunes store, why could I not get it in the Cloud? Does this also mean I can't download it again if it's deleted?

I'd transferred my iTunes off the old Mac Mini onto an external HD. During the setup of the new iMac, I imported to library from the external HD. Now my music list includes songs from the iMac HD AND the cloud purchases. When I play the songs, iTunes will play both those copies on the Mac as well as DOWNLOAD the song from the cloud.
i'm on a limited data plan & I don't want songs downloaded which already exist on my HD. Where's the "stopper" for this?

Feb 13, 2009I just recently bought a new macbook, and I transferred all of my files from Windows XP onto the new computer. Whenever I try to change the names of files that I transferred, it says that I have insufficient access privileges. I can rename files that I created on this Mac, but not the old files. I did the disk repair, and it didn't work. I also make sure that I had privileges for that particular folder.This is my first mac, so I don't really know what I am doing, but I did do the things that would usually be done to repair privileges.

Aug 31, 2014If I don't want to restore content from my backup with old Apple IDs (wife's old deactivated account, brother's account, etc), how do I remove that content from a backup? I skip in the restore process, but that doesn't seem to remove anything. I'm assuming the content/media from the other accounts isn't loaded.
I guess I'm looking to create a fresh backup with only the iTunes items associated with my account. I can't find a way to identify what media is from these other accounts in iTunes, so I keep getting this issue when I restore from a backup.
