I can't make a GarageBand update from the AppStore because it asks me for my brother's AppleID, which I used to set up my Macbook Pro when I first bought it a few months ago.Now I have my own AppleID and I am using it in almost everything on my mac, but AppStore still asks for my brother's AppleID when I try to make any type of update.

I got a new MacBook Pro (very happy!) and it came with iPhoto and Garage Band. I had not upgraded before, so these were 'new' for me. They seem to have been added to my Apple account - they appear as 'purchased' in the App Store, But when I try to update them, I get this message: "You have updates available for other accounts" and "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."

I got the wrong epost adress in appstore update, It's an unknown adress for me or my acquintances. I've tried to log off and on again, from both the appstore and the Itunes store. This doesn't work. It's no problem when buying apps from the appstore, but it's mayhem when updating my software.

I have just purchased a Macbook pro and have just seen on the Apps icon on the screen that I have 2 updates available, one for garageband and the other for iphoto. I tried logging in using my apple ID username and password but I keep getting an error message stating: "You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." I googled the apple ID error and it led me to the apple support side where I could find out if I had multiple apple ID's linked to the same email address.
It came back with 3 accounts linked to my email address. I have found the username's for all 3 accounts and changed the passwords to all the same and then tried to log in to Apps on the macbook but can't seem to do it. I was wondering if it's possible to delete Apple ID's so I only have one account. What I have noticed is that when using my iphone the old app's I have to log into my old Apple ID to download up-dates, whereas the newer apps on my phone I have to use my email address as the username.

I installed the Mavericks 10.9.4 Update a couple of months ago, and it has reappeared in the App Store. I went ahead and reinstalled just in case there was a legitimate issue with my files, but the update continues to appear in the App Store updates section. Rebooting does nothing to change matters. How to shut off this message display?Â

I have garageband 3.03 (06 Version) and I'm trying to make a dubstep song. I need to do that thing with the bass where it slows and speeds, but where you can turn up the track volume there is no speed setting so you can speed up and slow down parts of the track.

Soon after the update, comcast was out for the evening...so no online connection for the rest of the night. After the connection was lost, I tried opening up garageband and all I got was a bouncning garageband icon on my dock. I looked at the error report created and it did mention something about my airport base station. So I was hoping the application not opening was a result of my lost connection. I am not home now to try again. I just wasn't aware that you needed to be online to start GB or is it the fact that it was the 1st time since the update that I opened it?

I have 2 computers, an iMac and a Macbook Pro.I have done a clean install on both of them, but it would be much easier for me to be able to have it where whenever I make a change on my desktop, my laptop is changed too, and vice versa.
Is there any way that I can update the 2 computers whenever I want so that it updates my laptop when I make a change to my desktop? I can't think of a good way to explain what I mean, but here is basically what I want to happen:
1. I turn on my iMac and make a document with Pages, download some music with iTunes, and play and save a game of Half-life with Crossover.
2. I turn on my Laptop, and it automatically retrieves all the changes from my desktop, and downloads the document, music, and the game file.
3. Still on my laptop, I delete an application, download a PDF, and change my desktop.
4. I go back to my desktop, and it automatically deletes the application, downloads the PDF, and changes the desktop.
That is sort of what I want to be able to happen, not exactly like that, but you get the idea.
i have made a bootable lion hard drive before and it worked fine. But after the 10.7.4 update i am unable to make another one. When i follow the usual steps
1- download lion from app store
2- show package contents
3- contents- shared contens- drag and drop them dmg file into disk utility (something along those lines).
4-restore drive (external hard drive) and drag the lion file to the 'source' area and the external hard drive to the 'destination' area.
5- When i hit restore it does everything but at the end it says something like "failed, invalid argument'?

I just started to run iMac and wanted to download some of free apps from the AppStore (at first). Unfortunately, I can't login,because it requires my Credit Card data (I have 5 different kinds of them: MasterCards, Visas..both debit and credit). I type in my data (Card number, Name, Surname etc.) but it always says there's some mistake with my Card data, though I correctly type all the letters and digits. So that, I can't download even free apps from the Store.

I purchased a MacMini December last year, which came preinstalled with OS X Lion. According to Apple Lion can be installed on multiple authorised Macs without having to repurchase it again.
My problem is that having it come preinstsalled I don't have the installation package for Lion, so I can't install it on my other Macs. If I go to the AppStore it tells me that I need to purchase Lion again. Is this correct? As I understood I've purchased OS X Lion as part of my MacMini...

On my mac, I can't do this! I don't even have the app store on my mac! I do the software update and it says no updates available but it is in Version: 10.6.8 i think. I need to update it and it wonk work. It is the earlier version of the Macbook Pro. I also have some audio problems like when I up the sound it has a cross and says its full. the only way to fix this is to do -SLEEP- and put in headphones then open it.
