View 1 RepliesI purchased a MacMini December last year, which came preinstalled with OS X Lion. According to Apple Lion can be installed on multiple authorised Macs without having to repurchase it again.
My problem is that having it come preinstsalled I don't have the installation package for Lion, so I can't install it on my other Macs. If I go to the AppStore it tells me that I need to purchase Lion again. Is this correct? As I understood I've purchased OS X Lion as part of my MacMini...

I Purchased OS X Lion from App Store and installed in same desktop but when I see Purchases in App Store its showing download, not showing install, all other apps like Twitter shows install. OS X Lion not installed correctly or any other problem?

My sister gave me her MacBook, but there was no App Store Icon on it. I updated everything and still no app store. I looked in the finder and it's not there either.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI ordered OSX 10.7 (Lion) from the app store and pushed the download button. I see that it is trying to download over in the dock, but nothing happens. Even if I leave it downloading for 2 hours. I have a MacBook, currently running OSX 10.6.8.

I got a new MacBook Pro (very happy!) and it came with iPhoto and Garage Band. I had not upgraded before, so these were 'new' for me. They seem to have been added to my Apple account - they appear as 'purchased' in the App Store, But when I try to update them, I get this message: "You have updates available for other accounts" and "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."

I have just purchased a Macbook pro and have just seen on the Apps icon on the screen that I have 2 updates available, one for garageband and the other for iphoto. I tried logging in using my apple ID username and password but I keep getting an error message stating: "You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." I googled the apple ID error and it led me to the apple support side where I could find out if I had multiple apple ID's linked to the same email address.
It came back with 3 accounts linked to my email address. I have found the username's for all 3 accounts and changed the passwords to all the same and then tried to log in to Apps on the macbook but can't seem to do it. I was wondering if it's possible to delete Apple ID's so I only have one account. What I have noticed is that when using my iphone the old app's I have to log into my old Apple ID to download up-dates, whereas the newer apps on my phone I have to use my email address as the username.

I've just got myself a nice new Mac Pro and am really surprised to find that it is more different to Windows than I was expecting.   I feel like a toddler trying to learn a new language to do all the things I am used to doing on Windows.Â
Quite often I just Google my Q's....or search on YouTube, and usually get the answers quickly.
I can't seem to find a specific answer for this Q though.....
On Windows, whenever you downloaded something, you were given a % telling you how much had been downloaded and how much was left still. It also gave you the progress in gb / kb.Surely there must be a way of having this info show whenever I download something ? I really do not want to go to the App Store and start buying things.
Dear iMac users and other AppStore customers,
I just started to run iMac and wanted to download some of free apps from the AppStore (at first). Unfortunately, I can't login, because it requires my Credit Card data (I have 5 different kinds of them: MasterCards, Visas..both debit and credit). I type in my data (Card number, Name, Surname etc.) but it always says there's some mistake with my Card data, though I correctly type all the letters and digits. So that, I can't download even free apps from the Store.

When you buy a Movie or TV Show on iTunes you receive two versions of it, but it appears as just one file on iTunes. I was just wondering if its possible to do that manually to your own videos that you import into iTunes.

I can't make a GarageBand update from the AppStore because it asks me for my brother's AppleID, which I used to set up my Macbook Pro when I first bought it a few months ago.Now I have my own AppleID and I am using it in almost everything on my mac, but AppStore still asks for my brother's AppleID when I try to make any type of update.

On my mac, I can't do this! I don't even have the app store on my mac! I do the software update and it says no updates available but it is in Version: 10.6.8 i think. I need to update it and it wonk work. It is the earlier version of the Macbook Pro. I also have some audio problems like when I up the sound it has a cross and says its full. the only way to fix this is to do -SLEEP- and put in headphones then open it.

I recently purchased a new app (BoobookSNMP) on the Mac App Store and it downloaded fine. However, each time I start the Mac App Store and go to purchases, it is marked as requiring an update. But it's not listed among the Updates on the specific tab for Updates.Â
How can this be cleared up so that it appears as all the other apps do (installed)?Â

I recently re-installed my Lion by using the Lion Online Recovery thing. Works fine so far, but I got one problem..That my iLife suite is missing makes sense, since iLife does not come with Lion itself. My iLife was preinstalled on my MBP and I had to accept the Apps in the AppStore back then.
Now, after the reinstallation iPhoto does not show up in my purchases, just GarageBand and iMovie. If I'm trying to search for iPhoto in the AppStore, it says, that my App is already accepted and must show up in my purchases, but it does not. How can I resolve this issue? Without iPhoto I can't use my photostream.

I got the wrong epost adress in appstore update, It's an unknown adress for me or my acquintances. I've tried to log off and on again, from both the appstore and the Itunes store. This doesn't work. It's no problem when buying apps from the appstore, but it's mayhem when updating my software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the Mavericks 10.9.4 Update a couple of months ago, and it has reappeared in the App Store. I have set up my mom with an older Macbook Pro of mine to save her from the evils of the PC. I set up two users, one for her and one for me; hers is uber simple (big icons, only the essentials in the doc) mine is crazy complicated. We share apps, of course, which was fine until I realized she is going to want to download Mah Jongg game apps and the like from the App Store, and I would LOVE it if I didn't have to have all that cluttering up the root Applications folder. I already tried to move one app from root to her user's Applications folder and all that moved was an alias, the app stayed at root. So how does one move these things? Is there a way via the finder? Can I use terminal.
