MacBook Pro :: IPhoto Wants Different AppStore Account For Update

I got a new MacBook Pro (very happy!) and it came with iPhoto and Garage Band. I had not upgraded before, so these were 'new' for me. They seem to have been added to my Apple account - they appear as 'purchased' in the App Store, But when I try to update them, I get this message: "You have updates available for other accounts" and "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."

I bought over a Mac Book Pro from a friend. I can't update iPhoto and other apps as it seems like these are tagged to the previous owner's account. It basically requires me to sign in to my fren's account which is absurb! Because iphoto comes with mac isn't it?

I have just purchased a Macbook pro and have just seen on the Apps icon on the screen that I have 2 updates available, one for garageband and the other for iphoto. I tried logging in using my apple ID username and password but I keep getting an error message stating: "You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." I googled the apple ID error and it led me to the apple support side where I could find out if I had multiple apple ID's linked to the same email address.
It came back with 3 accounts linked to my email address. I have found the username's for all 3 accounts and changed the passwords to all the same and then tried to log in to Apps on the macbook but can't seem to do it. I was wondering if it's possible to delete Apple ID's so I only have one account. What I have noticed is that when using my iphone the old app's I have to log into my old Apple ID to download up-dates, whereas the newer apps on my phone I have to use my email address as the username.

I recently re-installed my Lion by using the Lion Online Recovery thing. Works fine so far, but I got one problem..That my iLife suite is missing makes sense, since iLife does not come with Lion itself. My iLife was preinstalled on my MBP and I had to accept the Apps in the AppStore back then.
Now, after the reinstallation iPhoto does not show up in my purchases, just GarageBand and iMovie. If I'm trying to search for iPhoto in the AppStore, it says, that my App is already accepted and must show up in my purchases, but it does not. How can I resolve this issue? Without iPhoto I can't use my photostream.

I can't make a GarageBand update from the AppStore because it asks me for my brother's AppleID, which I used to set up my Macbook Pro when I first bought it a few months ago.Now I have my own AppleID and I am using it in almost everything on my mac, but AppStore still asks for my brother's AppleID when I try to make any type of update.

I got the wrong epost adress in appstore update, It's an unknown adress for me or my acquintances. I've tried to log off and on again, from both the appstore and the Itunes store. This doesn't work. It's no problem when buying apps from the appstore, but it's mayhem when updating my software.

I installed the Mavericks 10.9.4 Update a couple of months ago, and it has reappeared in the App Store. I went ahead and reinstalled just in case there was a legitimate issue with my files, but the update continues to appear in the App Store updates section. Rebooting does nothing to change matters. How to shut off this message display?Â

I was just doing What I thought was a standard software upgrade of iPhoto when, during the restart it said something unexpected had happened or something like that and just froze. Now when I try to restart I get the white screen with the apple , then an error message "pnic(CPU 0 caller 0xfffff800064ba7b): unable to find driver for this platform: ..." and it keeps going on Another box says "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button..." when I do this, it just comes back to the same place. Â

Two days ago I updated my Macbook Pro to the latest version using the "Software Update" utility. It restarted and I just shut it down.Yesterday I attempted to log to my account and I realized that it's not possible. No matter the account I try it:Â
1. Asks for a password (Enter password correctly).
2. A gray screen appears for one or two seconds as if it's loading the session.
3. It comes back to the accounts screen.Â
After many tries then I entered to the Recovery utilities ( Command + R on boot). I analized the disk and it's fine, no errors on it. So I decided to reinstall OS X When I try to re-install it starts to download some components and after few minutes of download it states that it cannot download these components. I thought it was a problem with my wireless network so I plugged an ethernet cable to the mac but the same error still happens after one minute or two.
Note: I checked my network with other devices and it's working fine.Â

An update for iPhoto '11 was available recently, and I installed it on my computer without thinking twice about it. I use the application for my business and it has worked very well up until I installed the update. Now, however, several of the features that I need are much less responsive due to the update. Is there any way that I can remove the update and restore the application to the way it was before the update?

I desperately need to update my MacBook Air -- however - when I attempt to do so, the login window appears - and it has my OLD email account from YEARS ago, not the one associated with this computer. If I go to iTunes - the correct email address for my account appears. If I go into my settings - the email address is correct. I don't get it -- it's the right email address associated with this computer and my APPLE ID account - but when I try to perform my software updates - it has an OLD unused email account in the APPLE ID box, and it is NOT changeable -- you can't click on it or change it in any way.Â

I ordered OSX 10.7 (Lion) from the app store and pushed the download button. I see that it is trying to download over in the dock, but nothing happens. Even if I leave it downloading for 2 hours. I have a MacBook, currently running OSX 10.6.8.

Quick question about Faces in iPhoto '11: I have some pictures of a specific person, say Vicky, and her face is linked with an Address Book entry. Now, when I find a new picture of Vicky, and type "V", the usual name list comes up but now there are two Vickys: the address book one, and the Facebook one (and they are really the same person). How do I make iPhoto "link" the address book contact with the facebook contact?
