I have garageband 3.03 (06 Version) and I'm trying to make a dubstep song. I need to do that thing with the bass where it slows and speeds, but where you can turn up the track volume there is no speed setting so you can speed up and slow down parts of the track.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI consolidated my iTunes library because some files were on an external and the rest on the computer and when I did this it made copys of most of the songs in my music folder. Also it didn't consolidate the whole library it still shows many songs on the external.
The actual iTunes library is right, just not all songs point to the computer hard drive.
I have about 100 gigs worth of duplicates that I have no idea how to delete besides doing them one by one.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

When I went to BestBuy, the Apple section of the store had an iMac, that would announce the name of the song before it played. I asked the Apple rep there and he didn't know how it did that, he told me it came with the computer. How would I make iTunes do that?

My wife and I have separate user accounts on the single laptop and keep the music in one central Public folder (both or our iTunes are pointed to this public folder). For some reason, my wife is unable to make any changes to song info (album art, change genre, etc.). However, she can play the music, update her Nano, import music, etc. The only thing she can't do is make changes to the song info. This isn't an issue with my account because I am the primary user account on the computer. We are both set up as Admin and I have assigned Read/Write privileges to all files. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Tech support/program specialist has no idea.

I copy "Classical Chillout" compilation album to itunes. 30 songs show up, each with their own (new) artist name, song name, and all within the album "Classical Chillout.

I want to batch rename all songs so that the Album name becomes the Artist and each "Artist" name is inserted into the "Song" name

I know you can use iTunes dj to "play song next" or whatever but I don't like iTunes DJ for the fact that you don't have 100% control over what songs are playing if you want to pinpoint certain songs, etc..
Is there any way that I can line up a song to play after the current song without interrupting the current song and immediately playing the song I want next?
When I download some of my music, it shows up in the User's download file in the Finder, can I delete file in the Finder folder without losing the music file on iTunes?

I purchased a song on itunes but only half the song downloaded. When I go to quick links and select purchase, I see the song as purchased but it wont download. It is behaving like a song you would listen to on itunes. It has the arrow with blue back round still. What can I do to get my song completely downloaded.

This is SO frustrating. I bring in my new iMac for the techs to move my iTunes over, I bring it home and have not been able to listen to one song. I double click on it and it says "Cannot find file, locate?" I say yes, it brings me to the album artwork. I can only play a song by fast forwarding or fast backing from the original song played to the next song I want to play. I have a decent size music library(40+gig) on my late MB and i find that iTunes is slow to load when I open it and sometimes when im clicking around songs there is a half second pause before the song is highlighted and then starts to play. Since the program is pulling the info off the HD im thinking that if i got a higher capacity 7200 rpm drive that this would help (currently my stock 150gig only has 50gigs left) with this stutter or would upgrading to 4gig ram?

I have downloaded a song and when I go to play it...it bounces off of the song and will not play. I have iTunes 10.6.1......Apple charged me for the song already. I went to Support but could not find a solution specific to my issue. I have downloaded over 2500 songs and this has not happened before. This song was one of nine other songs I downloaded that evening...all others came through successfully.

GarageBand goes through initialising process, the programme menu items appear briefly and then it terminates with no further indication of what is going on. Anyone else suffering the same problem ? If anyone is wondering, I'm trying to create a ringtone with just instrumentals.
I am having a frustrating time with one aspect of garageband I can't seem to resolve. Here is the situation - if I record a multitrack live performance and save the entire 60 minute+ file it is 3.12GB in size.
If I then edit the file down into 7 minute, and 5 minute sections from the master file - they are still saving as 3.12GB files. It is as if I can't get rid of all of the contents of the master file when I edit down shorter i.e. smaller sections.
Every time I export a song out of GarageBand, the volume for the MP3 track is too low. I have to blast my volume in order to hear it. In the old GarageBand, the volume would usually be too loud on the MP3 track, but now it is the opposite.
I have tried adjusting the Master Volume and the Track Volume in GB and have still had no luck. The volume problem happens when I export a track containing only Apple Loops. If the track contains music played by my keyboard, then the volume is fine.
Instead of reinstalling GB on another HD by CD/DVD, is it possible to just take the GB Library Folder and take the app too? Or is it not possible? If I can, do I need any other files?
