I have a Macbook pro and was running windows through bootcamp. When opening windows the display is upside down and is staying that way. Have tried to reboot with no luck.

I have a macbook pro 15 inch running windows 7 32-bit. It was running fine for a while but then the screen wouldn't turn on after it went to sleep. I took it to the Apple Store to find out that the Logic Board was broken. They took it and they mailed it back to me about 2-3 days later. Now in Mac or Windows mode, the camera is upside-down. Is there anything i can do?

When opening the applications window by the short command cmd+shift+a the window appears like on the left but opening any other folder in the same way (via short commands) the window appears normal.
Is there anything that i can do to fix it back to the standard layout?
I've tried re-installing and updating every possible graphics related driver for Windows 7 i cannot for love or toffee get the bloody thing to even recognize my display. I am using a 26" tv as an external display, it works on OS X (very easily), windows XP (also very easily) and even Vista (also easily) and connecting through a DVI/HDMI connector. Why not windows 7? I've scoured the web for answers but can't find anything. Is anyone at least in the same boat as me? I really need this solved soon

If I simply drag my web browser over to my second monitor, a 28" 1920x1200 monitor hooked to the mini displayport, it displays PERFECT gradients.
I have installed Windows 7 on a Bootcamp partition and use VM Fusion as well, I am trying to get my Windows 7 desktop onto my Plasma TV when I have only Windows 7 booted.
I have a mini displayport to DVI adapter (not worried about sound right now) but when boot into Windows I cannot find the TV as a output setting.
It used to be with my old PC I would see the TV as a possible output and I could chose either Dualscreens or simply set the Plasma as the main display.
Could someone please help me achieve this with my iMac? Am I missing a driver or just missing a setting?
I recently added a NAS with four main partitions (recognizes them as drives). Now, when ever I start up my mac, finder opens four panes, one for each drive. Is there any way I can prevent finder from automatically opening?

I just installed Windows XP Pro through Parallels. What a great program by the way. Here is my problem. When in Windows the Superdrive won't open. I have to log out of Windows to open it. Then I can insert a Windows CD and reopen windows and have access to it. Does anyone know how to open the drive through Windows

Microsoft say it's bootcamp, Apple say it's microsoft. Provider of disk say million chance in one disk at fault. Microsoft say if i can get in via safemode (which I can) then not microsoft problem. Stuck between them both and very upset. Apple laptop 17", bells and whistles, a month old - and had been saving for the best but haven't got it. Have reinstalled Mac OS, have removed and reinstalled bootcamp, windows XP AND AutoCAD.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a 2.4 GHz unibody MacBook running boot camp, and I'd like to have my new 24" LED Cinema Display set as the primary display so that, when I play games, the system recognizes that the resolution can, indeed, go higher than 1280x800.
However, when I right click and hit Properties to see desktop settings and stuff, right clicking on the Cinema Display shows that "Primary" is grayed out; it seems that I can not set it as the primary display.
Does anybody have a solution to this? I'd rather not use the nVIDIA settings to turn off the MB display and only use the LED display, as I'd like to be able to have AIM and a web browser open on the MB screen while I game on the LED display. I suppose if this is not possible under Dual View atm, I'll make do, but I figured I'd check first.
Every time I go to click a link, or open a new Safari window, nothing seems to happen. No window, links don't seem to work, though they change color as if activated. Did some searching, found that the windows are opening just fine, but opening on a duplicate screen somewhere where I can't see them. Figured a simple restart would fix this, and it did--for about 3 windows. Now it's right back to the same thing. What's the fix? All software/updates are installed/current.

I had some friends over for dinner tonight and I was showing them my macbook. So one of them played a prank on me and opened about 400+ windows by creating about 400 folders and then selecting them all and opening them. So to make a long story short, I closed them all and now I am wondering if this could have hurt my hd by doing this.

I approve this action, the windows disappear, only to have the next page appear with another pile of duplicates. Is this a virus?

I have a folder with maybe 20 or 30 songs by mobb deep. I want them to be part of an album called "mobb deep", but the majority of these songs are from different albums and mixtapes, and most doesn't even have the album title on them. So on Windows I would simply mark all the files in the folder and right click, hit properties and then I'd be able to type in an album name. First of all when I mark 20 files on Mac and right click it'll open 20 windows instead of one window for all of the files (one of the dumbest things on OSX, I love everything else but this is mad stupid) - second of all I don't even think it's possible to type in the album name when right clicking an mp3 file. So how can I change the album title on all of these files without doing it in iTunes? Reason I aint doing it in iTunes is that it'll be a pain to locate each song in there since they'll be labeled all wrong.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i gave a friend of mine a hand with his 2009 27" i7 iMac by installing Windows 7 for him. Unfortunatly for some reason after you get through all the meat of the install and it restarts to finish off and ask for personal information but here's the problem. The display is showing nothing! You can hear the fans are on and booting into mac is fine but I can't get any farther with the Windows 7 installation because i can't see anything! I know the disc works because I installed from it the night before.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnder 10.6.8, it has been my habit (and pleasure) to open very wide terminal windows across as many as three displays in order to see the results of somewhat wide database queries without text wrapping, which affects readability and cuts the number of lines visible on the display window at once.
Under 10.9.3, when I adjust a window over towards another display so that the window would be on both displays, the window is "ghosted" until I let go of the drag bar, and if the move has not fully adjusted the window to land entirely on the display it is moving into, that half of the window promptly disappears.
Am I missing something about window positioning under Mavericks? Or, is there any way to regain the previous, multi-display-friendly window handling in Mavericks?
so i have a windows XP professional disk, SP2 and all. i am trying to install windows, i get as far as partitioning the disk, but once it says "please insert XP disk" i do that, and it will think for a few minutes, and make a loud noise [coming from the mac] then a message pops up and says 'please insert installation disk.' the disk is brand new, what am i doing wrong? should i be partitioning the windows side larger?

I don't think this is a bootcamp driver issue. This is an issue between ATI and Microsoft and has been going on at least since 2007. Not much to say about it at this point, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with the new iMac's and windows?
