I found out a way to get Fruity Loops 9 XXL on my Macbook using Wine/Winebottler. I can not for the life of me figure out how to delete a note on the kick drum track for example. I used to use FL on my old PC and I'm finding a hard time transferring the PC shortcuts to Mac.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 15-inch MacBook Pro, the new unibody ones, and I installed Windows XP, using BootCamp.
I made it a 29 or so GB partition, so it used the FAT32 formatting.
The program I tried to install is the eyeQ speed reading program, and the laptop exceeds every single one of the recommended requirements.
The problem comes when I am attempting to install the program, I keep getting an error message in which it says "This program cannot run on a computer with less than 64 megabytes of ram."
Last time I checked my laptop has 4 GB of ram, and it says the same thing when I checked it while running Windows XP.
My only guess, which I made while typing this, was that I should have formatted the Windows partition using NTSF.
What is the best program to use for downloading music - aside from itunes?

Under iTunes Music is all of my music, including the new music I filed there. But when I open the iTunes Program, the new music is not in my iTunes Library there. how I can get my new purchase visible in my iTunes Library in my iTunes Program? I have recently started to re-rip most of my music collection in flac but as a result I am ending up with many duplicates. I have found many programs such as MrClean that find duplicates of songs but I do not want to accidentally delete the high quality mp3's or flac files. Is there any program that can do this for me? I would prefer it free but I would be willing to pay 10 dollars or so if the program is legit.

I have looked in the following for garageband loops, but see nothing.
1. Mac HD > Library > Audio > Apple Loops > Apple > Apple Loops for Garage Band,
2. Mac HD > Library > Application Support > GarageBand > Apple Loops > Apple Loops for GarageBand,
and
3. Username > Library > Audio > Apple Loops > User Loops. (cannot see any files here)
I am wanting to access these Apple loops to use in Final Cut Pro X. Do I need to 'unhide' these files

I also need to find a way to make an audio loop. However, Garageband won't take my .WAV file which means I still need to convert the file. Once its done converting it should take it though right?
I just purchased garageband '11 on my MacBookPro, and as such it was available for me to download to my iMac. On my MacBookPro the additional loops installed perfectly by choosing a loop that wasn't installed and following the prompts. However this didn't work on the Mac.
When I clicked on a loop that wasn't present, it gave me the same prompt, but when the Software Update runs, it reports that all software is upto date. Then when you go back to choose a loop that's greyed out in Garageband, it says that the process to download has been initiated and to check the status in the software updater! Kind of a circular loop.

I just got logic pro and i don't know much. So i recorded my guitar with logic and i found some drums in the library. Now the thing i want to know is how to speed down the tempo of a selected loop from the library. I have never found a clear answer for this question so if you know it please post it here.

My notebook died and I'm in search for a new one and I'm considering the macbook.
The only question I have is, will it run every Windows program without any issues? I'm going to be using this for work. Besides your typical Office suite, I run AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Audio and Video editing and burning. And all the licenses are for Windows.
I just want to make sure I won't have any software issues before taking the leap.
I guess what I'm asking is, is Windows under an Apple hardware work exactly as Windows would?
I just started a new class and it involves the use of a program that needs Windows to run. I have no idea how I will be able to use it with a Mac. I asked my professor and he suggested installing Vmware. I did this and I don't know what to do because the disc still won't run. Selected the first option for partition of 32Gb, ran the XP Pro SP2 disc and it never gave me the option to format... Obviously got a "disc error, press any key to continue" message since the drive is not "bootable." So I found a thread online that sent me to the XP site to discuss FAT32 issues. The drive can't be larger than 32Gb (which it shows 32,600 after the partition), so I deleted the part. and rebuilt it at 30Gb. Still didn't give me the option to format the drive! It shows the partitions, so I select the C:yatta-yatta-/bootcampwhatever , press enter and it starts installing... Any idea on how to force the XP setup program to allow me to format the silly partition?

I can bring up either programs by holding down my option key and then choose either pc or mac ox. But now a problem has come up. I can now only boot up the pc program and it does not matter if you use the option key or not. PC program is all I get. What can I do to get back on my mac ox program?

you can resize every window using a grid which can be accessed from the top right of the screen, when you can line windows up etc.
Been on Windows 7 for a while now, and when I first installed Windows 7 (upgrade from Vista) I've been getting an error saying I have no default mail program. I use Windows Mail with my hotmail account, but it still gives me an error. I did not do a clean install of Win7, I upgraded it (to where it saved all of my previous data)
