Software :: SWF File Can Be Converted To MOV Format?
Nov 13, 2008
I have a program, Jing, that saves my screen recordings in to .swf (which I think is an adobe flash player) but I can't really watch them unless I am running that program, then I can watch it as a saved file, but I want to use it as a .mov (or maybe a .flv, .m4v, .avi so I can at least convert it with the program i have) in iMovie and such. Is there any way I can convert these, or any software I should get to do so?
I am trying to convert AVI to MP4 and I always seem to run into problems. I use MPEG streamclip and sometime i get an error after converting saying that file cannot be played, not a movie file. thought when i play it in AVI format it works fine. Also another problem I have is the sound doesnt work sometime in the MP4 format but it does in the AVI format. Any thoughts on converters that I can buy that possibly work faster?
i have a movie that was on bluray 720p and it was a MKV file so i converted it to AVI so that i could stream to my ps3 from my mac using medialink and when i tried to play the file it wouldn't work from my ps3 but worked from my imac. It had a error code
I've got Snow Leopard sitting on my hard drive in the form of a DMG file. How do I install this new operating system? Do I have it converted into an iso file and then burnt onto a DL DVD and then run that or can I simply run it from its mounted position. Is there a way I can do it with my time machine?
My G4 died a horrible death, recovered the HD, plugged it in to an imac running OSX, tried to access a folder I really need and it turns out that the thing turned into a .LNK (unix executable file) and I can't open it!
I got a file named myfile.dat from my supervisor and he said myfile.dat is a helix database file. I tried to open that file after installing helix server 6.1.5, but I couldnt open it. I am really in a confusion that whether the given file is helix format file or something. Can anyone tell me that how to open *.dat file or how to identify the format from the file extension.
iPhoto will not import a video on my kodak camera but it will import photos. The only difference I can really tell between this movie and others I already have imported into iPhoto are that this one is a .MOV file and the others are .MPG files. Anyway to change this? In the camera maybe? I can't open the file in quicktime either, no way to access it I think since it cant import.
Basically, I wanted to combine two pictures (copying and pasting one over part of the other) and post it on Facebook. Problem is, I couldn't figure out how to do this in iPhoto. Luckily, I realized that I could do this easily in a program called OpenOffice.org Draw. However, I can't post it to Facebook (I'm assuming because Facebook doesn't recognize an .odg file as a picture). My question is, is there any way to convert this type of file into a picture type that I could load onto Facebook? I've seen some converters online but couldn't find any that are Mac compatible.
I set it as a .pdf, but its a .pages extension file, bc I couldn't attach as a .pages file. This is my term paper for this marking period and a conversion to a .doc file would help immensely. I am at my school and can't download any programs to convert.
I have a wmv file of my nephew's college senior recital. Took it with a Flip video when I was using a Windows computer. Now, I'm using exclusively Macs with Yosemite and can't view the video. Is there a way to convert a wmv file to a Mac format?
At one point I reinstalled PS3, but now I have the problem again.I often have problems with large format files in PS3. It was working fine, but after a couple of hours it "unexpectedly quit....". I have relaunched, tossed preferences, etc. When I force quit, the PS3 icon in the dock still shows up with the dot and the Force Quit window shows up with no indication that there is a problem. When I try to reboot many times I have to use the power button on the mac. Finally i got PS3 to open...I opened up a different file and it worked fine, but the large format file tried to open and it came up with "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Photoshop locked up. Do my large file formats get corrupted for some reason?I have a MacPro, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 GHZ, 2 processors, and 16G B memory...There should not be a memory problem with this machine. Why do I always have problems with a large format file?
I'm trying to convert some rmvbs to avis using ffmpegX and no data file with other formats but as soon as I drag it in, ff freezes. The first file has a size of 92MB. If this is not going to work, please tell me a free converter that will convert them. Or at least one which has a trial version NOT a demo version.
I teach and have some staff members that would like to set up pp's to loop continuously and play embedded music. I can't figure out how to get the music to continuously play.
I can--have the presentation loop in a kiosk format and have the music play one time through. When the presentation gets begins the second time through the music quits and the presentation continues.
I am not able to convert movies, keep getting this message The document “The Walking Dead Trailer - YouTube-2.mp4” could not be opened. The movie's file format isn't recognized.
I am trying to play a Quicktime file in the .mov format, latest version as of 2 July 2012, but when I attempt to open the file, a message pops up saying the file type is not a type that Quicktime understands, why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?
I have a text file on my Macbook. It doesn't have any special formatting. I save it to Dropbox and open it on my PC (Vista). All of the carriage returns are missing and text is a big run on. How do I get carriage returns to transfer to the PC?
It will not save it saying. This file can not be saved it is an unrecognizable format. /Users/diane/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Mail Downloads/A02307BB-F55C-48D4-B9BA-9E979E4201C2/sm06440.jpg....I have done nothing new to the Imac, and cant understand why this has changed.
I just installed my new xt today and to format it I did the disk utility and did erase and let it format to the default file type, is that the correct way and will that let it use the drive to full advantage?
Through some scripting mishap, I accidentally ended up with two copies of everything in my iTunes library. One was in lossless format, the other in AAC. I just went through and deleted all the AACs by hand. I'm worried that I might have accidentally deleted a lossless copy though, in stead of the AAC copy. Is there a way I can search through the trash (via terminal presumably) to make sure there are no lossless files in there? It'd be so easy if they didn't have the same extension.
