View 1 RepliesI set it as a .pdf, but its a .pages extension file, bc I couldn't attach as a .pages file. This is my term paper for this marking period and a conversion to a .doc file would help immensely. I am at my school and can't download any programs to convert.

If this is not going to work, please tell me a free converter that will convert them. Or at least one which has a trial version NOT a demo version.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have many videos that I have downloaded, ripped, and captured overtime. Some of which I would like to be able to burn to a DVD for personal use or to give to family and friends. My problem comes when trying to burn a certain video file formats to a DVD, one especially that will playback on a standard DVD player. The types of files I am interested in converting to DVD-playable are: .m2ts, .avi, .mp4, .mpeg, .mkv. Again, I would like to convert these movies, then burn them to a DVD to easily watch them on my home theater system's DVD player. So I beg the question, "Is this all possible?", "What file formats are commonly used to play from DVDs on a DVD player?" and "Are there any freeware based applications to get this job done?"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if there is a simple way to import a text file format into iCal. I have a variety of operations that would become immensely easier to do if I could create a CSV file, for example, in Excel or Open Office and then just import that into iCal, rather than sit there and type each item individually.I have both event data and tasks that I need to do bulk imports for.
I've searched high and low and most of what I find involves importing CSV into other applications and then exporting it to VCal files before finally bringing the data into iCal.There has to be a simpler way.
I purchased Outlook2Mac in order to convert my current Outlook 2003 pst to Entourage. The conversion works well with my Outlook 2003 pst file. However, I just discover that many of my emails, which are in Vietnamese (Unicode) are now showing garbage characters instead of the correct characters.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure a few of us in this forum own a 360, have any of you managed to play any REAL HD content without purchasing the HD-DVD player or converting your .mkv's to .wmv's. I've noticed that if I download a 1080p trailer from apple.com/trailers in .mov format it works flawlessly, perfect image and audio. Is there a (quick) way to convert a .mkv to .mov and have it play perfectly with no hitch, on the 360. If trailers off apple.com can play there must be a workaround. Below I've posted a screen of the downloaded trailers info that I got off of apple tv.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use several Macs. One runs OS9.2.2 and I made a screen shot of a file that I can easily open and read in OS9. The "get info" on the file says: "SimpleText document" size "252 k," "Version n/a" I sent it to my new iMac running Lion but could not open it to see the file. It is a picture. How can I see or convert the screenshot file made on OS9.2.2 on my OSX Lion system?

I know their have been threads in the past that delt with syncing outook with OS X but I thought I would create a thread concerning iCal. Like many of you, I have to use a PC at work. I can access outlook on said PC either through webmail or Remote Desktop Connection but what I would really like is an automated way to sync my oulook calendar with iCal. I thought AddressX would work but it requires ananymous connectons to the exchange server which is apparently a no no from a security perspective. How have you sync'd outlook calendar with iCal?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just returned to the iPhone after 2 years with Android and am trying to sync my calendar and address book via iCal. Supposedly this was made possible by Outlook 11 Service Pack 2, released in April, but I can't make it work. I'm on the current versions of Lion (10.7.3), Microsoft Office (14.2.2) and iPhone (5.1.1). Here's some of what I have tried so far: Rebuilding the Microsoft Office database. Turning sync services off in Outlook by unchecking all the boxes, then turning it back on again. Resetting Sync Services on the mac side from the menu at the top of screen. Going into Library/Preferences and deleting everything related to SyncServer. I also tried creating a new OS X user account then syncing up that account from Outlook to see if there was a problem with my user account and once again could not sync.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI couldn't find anything useable on Google. I'd like to convert a pdf to a cbz format. But I'd prefer a single piece of software that could do it in one step. I'd be willing to use something that automatically breaks the pages of a pdf into separate images, then go from there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot find how to edit events in iCal. I should be able to "double click it" and then click Edit. However, no "edit" button appears.
Please note: this is a repeating event - is it not possible to edit them? This is needed for a monthly meeting that occurs at different places, so each individual instance should be editable with particulars for that event. Also, these events were converted from Outlook on Windows.
I tried converting a 2h mpeg video file to apple tv format in toast and handbrake.

I cannot get the files to open with the latest OpenOffice or TextEdit. I've been doing some research into how to convert them and came across a product called MacLinkPlus from Data Viz, but I cannot find it on there site and assume that it may have been discontinued. My forum searches here have yielded no results. Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently, I have been trying to convert a movie I took to an iPod playable format. It is already .mp4, but iTunes will not add it to my library. When I try to convert it in Handbrake, the audio is just a constant drone, but video is fine. It will open in Quicktime, but I get an error when I try to convert the file through Quicktime.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any *free* applications that will convert QuickTime video to a Windows friendly format. One of the insurance companies I do work with will not let their adjusters install any other software on their laptops and they are PC's. I frequently send them videos so I will need to convert them. I will pay, if necessary, for a program that will accomplish this but I was hoping there might be something out there that is free.
