I put "levelwidget" on the dashboard - it is supposed to make a macbook into a Level. Sounded interesting...now I regret! The widget is corrupted and now when I try to open the dashboard it immediately closes and gives me an error message "you can't open the application motion because power pc applications are no longer supported" How do I delete this widget so I can open the dashboard. I've tried to look up the file, but can't seem to find dashboard widget files. Â

I used the solution for getting the google translator on my site by using MassReplacement as suggested by Giovannino on Feb. 2008. It seems to have worked in the folder I published to. However, how do I now publish that version that is saved in my folder to the web?

When I first installed Snow Leopard, I selected Italy as region but with english language. As a result, under Language & Text in System Preferences, my region in the Formats was set to "Italy (English)", that is the italian format but with months and days names in english.I accidentally changed that setting and selected "Italy (Italian)" and now I see months and days names in italian but with system language set to english.I tried to restore the original setting, but there is no "Italy (English)" option under regions.I also tried to change in italian the system language and then change it back to english, but the days names are still in italian. Aside from defining a Custom format, is there a way to restore the "Italy (English)" original setting?

For about 2 weeks, my dashboard hasn't been working properly. I've had Snow Leopard on my machine for about 2 months, so it's not directly related to the fact that I put that on my machine, but I'm not really sure what is going on. Most of the widgets are semi-unresponsive, the weather widget still gives me the weather etc., but none of the little "i" buttons work, and several of the other buttons on certain widgets don't work, making many of the widgets practically unusable. It's almost as if the widgets aren't recognizing the mouse.
I've tried deleting dashboard preferences, and then last night I reinstalled snow leopard, none of which made any difference. I also tried using pacifist to re-install dashboard, still nothing. I really don't want to have to do a clean install just for the dashboard, I'm using a 1.83 ghz intel macbook (2006)
How di I add or delete items on dashboard?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently downgraded from Snow Leopard to Leopard and after getting back to Leopard I realized that most of the OS X apps such as Dashboard, Address Book, Automator, etc. are all not working. (They still appear under the APP folder but with the APP icon and a circle+cross through them). I'm assuming this has something to do with SL being a newer version than Leopard. I backed up everything in Time Machine before the switch but I'm not sure what to do about getting those Apps back?

Under Language & Text there are 4 tabs:
Language
Text
Formats
Input Sources
I have added a language under the first tab, Language, only to find that there is no correspondingly supported input option under the fourth tab, Input Sources.
I would now like to remove the entry I added under the first tab, Langauge, but cannot figure out how to do this. I have tried highlighting and pressing delete, dragging it out of the window, etc., but so far nothing works.
