I have created 3 iMovies (one in December) and now the application seems to be gone. I've tried to "find" it but the application does not come up. I tried to open my iMovies and they say they can't find the application either. Where did it go?

Why do I have to upgrade to OS10.7 if I have no need to access my files from across the world, can back up by wire to my iMac and would lose all my usable PowerPC applications if I upgrade to Intel-only ones? MobileMe was a pain for me, with re-duplication of Contacts, so I discontinued using it. So I am not happy to trust iCloud!

I am a late adopter to Leopard and Snow Leopard and therefore had become quite comfortable on the old version of iMovie. The new one is a big disappointment. Can I downgrade and have both versions operating on a Snow Leopard platform.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI did a clean install of Snow Leopard. Every thing is fine except iMovie is not opening. Whenever I try to open it, it pops up with the following error message -
'Quartz Extreme required'
'iMovie requires a graphics card that is compatible with Quartz Extreme.
One or more of your graphics cards does not support Quartz Extreme.'
Every time I open imovie it works well enough, until i try and record my voice. It automaticaly shuts down imovie, and really frustrates my teacher and I. It's imovie 4.

I copied the files onto a USB and tried to open/import them onto my new Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.06 GHz iMac. However my new iMac with iMovie '09 won't recognise the files when I try to import them. They stay greyed, not allowing me to import them.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a project file that was created using iMovie 5 HD. In this project file were a large number of unused clips and also the final film, edited with transitions, backing music, end credits, etc.
However when I import this project file into iMovie 8 I cannot find the final edited film anywhere, just all the clips that were both used and unused within the project file.
How can I get the final film back without spending about a week re-editing everything?
In iMovie HD there was a button saying Video FX where you could access your downloaded effects, is this possible in iMovie 09?

When I set up Time Machine on my iMac I notice that the HD icon used looks pretty cool with a circular arrow on top. I didn't download it from some web site, it came that way. Over on my MacBook Pro the Time Machine HD icon is just white. I have no idea how it got that way.
My question is how do I get my MacBook Pro's Time Machine HD icon to look like the one on my iMac? Is there some hidden cache of icons on my system?
