Apr 12, 2012My yellow button seems not working when I click that button my window disappear it does not minimize what can I do? Which setting to I need to change?

PowerPC :: Chime Of Death, Still Working - Power Button Flashed In Yellow, And Then Became Orange
Jun 15, 2010It made a loud (very loud) beep, while the screen was grey. The power button flashed in yellow, and then became orange, and then chimed like it usually does, and booted normally.
Now she is using it, it's like if nothing happened.
Specs: iMac DV 400mHz, 640 MB. Mac OS 10.4.11

Dec 23, 2009I'd like to set up Safari so that when I click the green "Maximize" button on the top left, the Safari window goes to a certain size and when I click it again, it goes to another size. Is there any way to do this? I've never really seen a use for Safari's green button as it doesn't really do anything that I can see.

Jun 9, 2012When I try to close safari using the red dot at the top left hand side of the screen instead of the window closing it opens a new blank safari window. Infact the same happens when I click the amber and green buttons also.
I recently have had to system updates (last night and today). Last night I also had a problem that has fixed itself where pressing the command + Q buttons would not clos safari and the "Quit safari" in in the safari drop down was greyed out. As I say the later isue has fixed itself after I force closed and the updates loaded on. Not sure if the two issues are connected.Â

Apr 23, 2012I would like to run a script when a user selects log out from the apple drop down to ask the user if they backed up their data before it allows them to log out. I created a script that prompts you and then brings you to the logout screen but do not know how to get it to run, or something similar to run, when you select log out. Obviously, I do not want it to run when the user has already logged out. The other option I see that could work would be to change the message, "are you sure you want to quit all applications and log out now?" which I cannot figure out how to do.

ITunes For Mac :: How To Back Up IPhone / When Backup Now Button Can't Be Clicked
Jun 3, 2014I am trying to back my iPhone up on my mac, but the "backup now" button isn't highlighted. I cannot even select it or "restore backup". I have gone to my library and into the mobile sync/backup, but when I open the backup folder its empty. I have even gone to the preferences setting under itunes and selected devices and that is also empty. No backups are listed there.

Applications :: Unable To Open Safari Window / Safari Not Working Fine
Jul 2, 2010I put off doing the software update on Safari... I just HAD a feeling something would go wrong and I didn't have time to mess with it if it did.
So today I ran and update. And it messed up.
Now Safari will "open"... it looks like it is open and I have access to all the menus. But a Safari window will not open.
I am surprised that I haven't seen others with this problem. I have tried deleting the cache and deleting the preferences file. Neither seem to have made ANY difference.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. And I am feeling like I'm missing a body part. I need my Safari back!
Safari :: YouTube Fullscreen Button Is Not Working
May 23, 2012In Mac Safari 5.0.6 the fullscreen button has stopped working for some YouTube videos (which it has previously worked for). I click the button and nothing happens... as if it wasn't even clicked. This only happens on some videos though... not all of them.And the ones that do not work in Safari do work in Firefox.

Does they are visible somewhere as thumbnails and can be retrieved as I used to be able to do in snow Leopard?

May 30, 2010Running Firefox for OS X version 3.6.3. After about 20 minutes of use, the yellow minimize window button turns grey, and is not available. When I quit the browser and relaunch it, the yellow middle button is back.

Not by trying to open a new window or going into my history and opening the Apple page. This is really frustrating since I hate Firefox (Way slower than safari has ever been for me) and now I can't even use Safari.

OS X :: Minimize Button Hides Window, Doesn't Put It In Dock?
Mar 31, 2009I love how in OSX you can go to a Window in the dock and click hide:
Instead of the window minimizing and taking up even more room on the dock, it just hides in the already existing icon (in this case the active window hides in the safari icon). When I click minimize on the actual window this happens:
Now Safari is taking up two spaces on my dock. Is there any way to make it so every time, no matter what the window is, if you click minimize or even exit, it hides the window as opposed to minimizing it and wasting a dock space?

Mar 31, 2012My dock and menu disappear only when I am using Safari. They re-appear when I hover my mouse at the location that they should be at, but for some reason their default positions are to be hidden.The dock and menu are present for all other apps and when I'm on the desktop--basically whenever Safari isn't "chosen" as the active window. I have checked to make sure that Safari is NOT in Full Screen mode.

Safari :: Bookmarks Disappear After Adding New One
Jun 10, 2012About a week ago after shutting down the night before and restarting the next morning I noticed about 100 of my bookmarks (saved over the years) had vanished from Safari (5.1.7) / OS X Lion. I replaced bookmarks.plist from Time Machine which brought them back but they disappear again once I add any new bookmark. I've emptied cache, reset Safari and no joy. The added trouble now is I have to keep adding bookmarks every day so now I need to preserve the new ones but still get the old ones back.

Feb 15, 2012This button allowed (in Snow Leopard and even in Tiger) to see the final page full size, or even to save as a PDF file. This functionality is sadly missing on my computer since I have upgraded to LION, making me regret the move. Is there some pref somewhere that I should adjust, or just plainly forget about it. ? When I print, the dialog window does NOT show the Preview button anymore.

After import they appear on the left panel as Imported xx.xx.2012.After relaunching Safari 5.1.7, the folder is gone. More than that, Safari won't retain any webpage bookmarked, they would all disappear when I quit (or relaunch) Safari.I have trashed the com.apple. Safari. plist file a few time already and emptied the trash, repaired disk permissions, but problem persists.
