Safari :: Some Of The Extensions That Using Are Greyed Out When Attempt To Make Their Tool Bar Viewable?
May 4, 2012There are several extensions I have installed from the Safari extension gallery. Two of them are the twitter extension and the Gtool Bar. I would like their tool bars to be viewable but they are greyed out under the View menu option. Any reasons why this is and what can I do?

Safari :: It Disappeared From My Screen
Feb 24, 2012When I click on the Safari icon in the dock the Safari tool bar opens at the top of my screen but the Top Sites screen does not display. Likewise, if I click on a link in History or Bookmarks, the wepage does not display on the screen. I think the sites are opening because I opened a link with audio and the audio plays OK, but no web page displays.

Everything else is there, can link from my bookmarks and from Google, but can't type in new addresses, there's no place for them. Mar 26, 2012I have been using the 'Reading List' as a default Bookmark list as I find it more accessible than the old Bookmark system in Safari. After recently updating Safari my reading list has developed a bug. Firstly my entire list had disappeared (most annoying and inconvenient as I began rely on the list for my continuing study of important references in relation to my business) but I strangely I do get a multiple entry of my last used item. In fact the last time I opened up the list I had about ten duplications of the same bookmark. A recent example is below. My other references (which incidentally, courtesy of iCloud appear on my iPhone bookmarks) have disappeared.

May 31, 2012I made a misstake. I was testing out parental controls and it prompted me to create an administrator account and put my account under parental controls. When I did that and applied restrictions to my account i set it so that only accepted sites (ones allowed by the administerator and in the bookmarks bar) could be visit.Â
After a few days I went back and deled the administrator and got rid of parental controls but now all my bookmarks and folders are gone.Â
Is there a way I can get all my bookmarks back? (I don't have a time machine hooked up, but I am running OSX 10.7 Lion)

Apr 9, 2009I've got a real odd problem with safari 4. For some reason it is cutting my download speeds in about 1/2 from my server and many other places.
If I restart safari I will be able to download close to my 18 Mbps for a little bit but then it will just start to slow down and after about 30 minutes it will be down to about 6 - 8 Mbps.

Jul 5, 2012I am unable to open PDF files. All I get is a blank black screen. I now download PDFs into my computer from the internet (with mixed success), which is several steps more than has ever taken me in the past. Since finding this problem I have updated the Adobe Reader and run system updates today, to no avail. Adobe reports that there is a compatibility issue between Safari 5.1 and Adobe Reader. They offer several solutions none of which has worked for me. [URL]. Is updating Safari going to work for me, or are there other solutions?

Jun 8, 2009i also can't click on anything on the desktop, the only thing that is there and works are the words on the top, stopping at help. Also after every word i write, a pop up says 'alert cannot contact spell checker,' When i open safari i also cannot get it back to finder, and i can't search anything on the computer because after the second letter the screen flashes.
It started this morning i tried to write something in stickies and the computer went crazy to a blue screen and the loading circle started spinning around so i shut it down, when i loaded it up i had all these problems.
I have iBook g4 from 2005. What should i do, i don't know anything about computers. I tried searching online i tried to use killall Dock in terminal it didn't work, it said no matching processes were found.
