I shoot HD videos on my Nikon P100 and play them from QuickTime on my Win7 machine. I'd like to be able to play multiple files one after another, but it seems Apple does not allow this. For instance, if I click multiple files and then click Open, it brings up two copies of QuickTime. It seems it can't figure out that I'd like a single QT window that would know to play the first file then the second file. Is there a way to achieve this behavior in QuickTime for Windows?
I attempted to view a movie trailer off [URL] something which I often do with QuickTime X, but it didn't work. 3 or 4 error messages popped up. I have perian and flip4mac installed, but I've always had those installed.

My QuickTime player us not playing .avi files and says I need a codec I can't play no .avi files on QuickTime. How could I fix this because I want to play these files with QuickTime.
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7.
I have a .wmv file and when I try to open it in quicktime it only plays half of it, but when I attempt to convert it to a different format like .avi, the quality gets reduced but it will play the entire thing.
I've used to play .sdp files on Quicktime Player 10.0 on Snow Leopard.
After I've updated to Lion, Quictime Player got updated to 10.1 and it no longer recognizes .sdp files. It gives an error message with "Quicktime Player cannot open files in the "OpenOffice.org 1.0 Presentation" format."
The same sdp file plays well on Windows version of QuickTime Player, and if I boot to Snow Leopard, it works on QT Player 10.0. Is there a way to fix this problem and let the QuickTime Player recognize the .sdp files again?
Anyone have a problem playing wmv files using flip4mac on quicktime x. Ever since I installed SL, I'm having problems fast forwarding and rewinding in flip4mac. Anyone else have this problem or workaround?
I want to be able to change to a particular playlist at certain times of the day or week.I see that automator for OSX can change a playlist but I can't see how to schedule the event to change to the required playlist.
Unfortunately there is no option to delete all of your playlists at once in the latest iTunes version. I've bought an iMac and had to fill my library with my cd's. When completed there were aprox 300 playlists made.
In the categories "recently added, 90's, classical, music video's, favorites, and 25 most played". Every category has 100 playslists and they all have the same numbers in it.
Now I have to delete them 1 by 1 and it takes 2 minutes before one list is deleted.
I tried playing a video through Quicktime but there was no audio and the program said it needed a codec. Quicktime suggested that I download another progran (DivX player). I downloaded DivX but then the video still does not have any audio output. What will I do?
itunes will not play mp3 files that quicktime plays. I've dumped the files into itunes and added them via add to library. Opening with quick time the files play fine.
My friend is having this little problem with Quicktime. Every time he plays a movie (not in fullscreen) and make the window bigger, it starts to shrink until its the smallest it can go. This doesn't happen in fullscreen, does anyone know what the problem is?
I work for a law firm and we received a CD which contains a .mov file. When we try to play it in Quick Time, it plays the audio, but NO video. We are trying to play it is Quick Time (version 7.7.1) on a Windows XP Pro PC. When Quick Time first opened, it gave a message saying "Additional software is required for QuickTime to playback this media. It may be available from the Quick Time Components page." I clicked Continue and it took me to the Components page, but it lists like 10 different components and I have no idea what we need. Is it a CODEC? I have tried converting it to a different format usinig two different softwares and have gotten errors.
I have read similar topics and I must say that I am doing everything right. I have downloaded VLC, change the settings, inserted DVD, click "play" and nothing happens.

Can I merge multiple files, and multiple file types, into a single PDF with my MacBook Pro?, Can I merger multiple files, and multiple file types, into a single PDF with my MacBook Pro?
I need to combine word docs, .jpgs, .PDFs, .pptx files from multiple sources into a single PDF. In the past I've used software such as Nuance but I'm wondering if there's something in the MacBook Pro OS or applications that support this function.
I have set up an automator service that TAR's a folder into an archive for me and it works quite nicely. Idealy however, I would like to be able to highlight several folders, right click and have automator tar each folder into it's own TAR archive, but do it one by one.
[Code]...
I'm not 100% sure so I guess it would be a good time to verify, is there a problem with having the system try to TAR multiple folders at one time? If it is not a problem then I guess this discussion itself is pointless and I can simple right click on each folder and select "TAR Folder" and just wait until they're all finished. I would think that it would be ideal for the system to do each one individually and not try to do them all at one time.
Is it possible to play music from multiple libraries over a single device, with control over the playlist possible from multiple devices/computers? Baiscally, in one of my smaller offices, everyone has a Mac or PC with iTunes, along with various iPads, iPhones etc etc. They randomly pick some tunes to play from each of their individual machines.
I would like to setup a system where there is a single device (Mac/PC/Airplay/Apple TV etc) with decent speakers, where anyone can submit a track(s) to play from their library, be it on their Mac, iPad iPhone etc. to stream through the central system.I would then imagine using the Remote app to control it.
They should all be able to submit tracks simultanously, rather that one device connecting with a Airplay at a time. This would also work in a party senario. Guest rock up, pair their device with the system, and they can all submit track(s) from their device and it goes into the playlist...
I'm trying to play a 20GB .mov (I have donwloaded the ProRes Decoder for Windows codec) and also export the file to a smaller one on my PC. The file opens but stutters and freezes; audio plays okay. On the export side, it goes through most of it but fails at the end.
