I am currently out of country and unable to log onto my personal email account via Comcast.net. It is requiring me to have JavaScript activated. But I have looked almost everywhere for a download for either my iPad or 4s iPhone runnning most current iOs. Is there a location to download or is it even available for iOs devices?

When iCloud first arrived, I guess I signed up for it using my regular e-mail address. This e-mail address is at my own personal domain. I've had MobileMe and just got rid of it, essentially transferring it over to iCloud. So I now have two iCloud accounts, one set up for my personal e-mail, one with my old MobileMe stuff including my Calendar, Contacts, and Me.com E-mail (which I do use sometimes). What to do? I don't want 2, as it will get so confusing. Any way to combine? Can I get rid of the iCloud account set up to my personal domain email? Also, what about my iTunes Store account, which is set up with personal domin email?

Recently the account has been able to receive messages. Every time I hit Get Mail it asks for a password. I have installed all the latest updates through Software Update. I have a Mac Mini with OS Lion. After struggling for awhile, my inbox eventually comes in. I have reset all the incoming and outgoing POP Server accounts, as well as used the Web-mail version through [URL] and it all works fine.

OK, so my email has been changed to a new account. Told to keep old account and settings on computer as to not lose old emails on mac.
Set up new account with same email (some password security errors side) but now cannot change to new account to sent emails as mail only lets me select the email address to send from and not the mail account.
I have several email accounts with different SMTP settings.So I may want to use the account from time to time but I don't need to be checking mail and downloading all the accounts. How can I set up a mail group to check mail from several accounts - but exclude one of the accounts(its duplicated you see). I am using outlook 2010.

My parents have been sending me little .MOV movies via email. But I can't play them on my MacBook Pro. I am however able to play them on my iPhone.

I have been unable to send emails from my domain account due to it being blacklisted. I am not a spammer but think my account was used recently by one. I have been unable to find out how to get my ISP de-listed as I have passed from place to place with no-one taking responsibility.

I just used Migration Assistant to move my files from my iMac to my new Macbook Pro. I didn't know about the Filevault problem so when I tried logging in, I got the error message and I am unable to login to my account (the only one on the computer). The support page says to make a root user, but how can I do that when I can't even log in to my account. I dont have a disc copy of Lion I can use to start up with, only a copy of 10.6.

I have noticed that the ability to send an email from outside Mail via one of the several applications that has the capability has disappeared. Whenever I try to send a message I get an error message from the app. For example in Filemaker I get "Some of the files that are needed are either damaged or have not been installed. run the installer to correct this problem." In Acrobat I get "The SendMail doesn't know how to talk to your default mail client. select a different mail application to use." In MS Word the menu selection is dimmed out. From Pages however it works fine.

In one of them, "X," some emails don't show up in the account Inbox even though they are present in the overall Inbox marked as "Inbox - X"! Also, when I set up a Smart Mailbox with as criterion that the sender is "Y," the sender of one of these "missing" emails, those emails don't show in the Smart Mailbox. What's going on here? It screws up my email management as I can't be sure my Smart Mailboxes and folders contain all that they're supposed to.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe had a HDD fail on one of our office Mac laptops (a power pc G4). Apple repaired it and I restored all files etc from a backup. I was the administrator during the restore. Before I could get back, the user changed that account to a standard account and changed the name. Now there is no way to change the account back, because there is no admin to authenticate the change. Anything I can do? I am not an advanced computer/Mac person.

I have more than one email account set up on Mail and the strangest thing happens and I can't find out how to stop it.
Here is the problem:
- I have 2 accounts, 'Account A' is for my partner & 'Account B' is for me.
- Someone sends an email to 'Account A' (my partner) and CCs 'Account B' (me) into the same eMail.
- If I click reply from 'Account B' it sends the eMail from 'Account A' which is my partner, when it should be from me.
I have worked out that this is because 'Account A' was originally sent the eMail in The 'To' field as opposed to the 'CC' field in composing the reply eMail. I know that I can manually change the 'From' field every time when replying to an eMail but it becomes an nuisance. I forget to do it when quickly replying as I consider Mail to reply from the account that I'm reading the email from.
I have gone to the compose section in the preferences and there is an option for changing this when composing a new email but nothing when replying.
I feel that after two days of debugging, my only option is to reinstall lion. I need to know if this will wipe my personal documents.I will be reinstalling lion from the lion recovery hd.

In the last couple of weeks, I have not been able to use the Personal Hotspot on my iPhone 4s via the USB/sync cable to either of two 2011 Macs, both running the latest version of Lion, with all relevant software updated, including Flashback removal & Java updates. The connection via Bluetooth & wi-fi is unaffected.
Opening the Network System Preference pane, the connection is shown as iPhone USB, but it is not connected, even with all other internet access methods either deactivated or disconnected.
This issue is related to Lion, as the G4 & G5 PPC Macs running 10.5.8 which I either use or administer are not affected by this problem. The iPhone is running on iOS 5.1 and is not jailbroken.
Is it possible that the Flashback/Java issues and Apple's interpretation of their prevention/removal has affected this aspect of internet access via Personal Hotspot?
