I like OS X Lion. It's the fastest system upgrade I've ever seen on a Mac. With that said, I have this problem. I'm using a Magic Mouse. Just since my Lion upgrade, while I'm in Safari, browsing, every so often it just zooms in close on the page. Doesn't matter the site. It does it on a google search or a Mac discussions page. Something I am inadvertently doing or some glitch with the system (with mouse?).
I say mouse because it usually happens as I move the mouse over to click on something on the page. I thought it might be a combination of twitching fingers on mouse top, and maybe the movement of mouse together. I don't know, but when it happens I can't undo it. So I have to get out of the page. If I just try to reload page, or put the same thing in the search engine again, it doesn't matter, it still is zoomed. It's ridiculous. How I can either stop it or zoom back?

I struggling to find the best way to zoom Safari webpages automatically. I have used an extension called AllPagesZoom but when used on Youtube pages.I'm unable to drag player scrolls properly and some radio button problems too. I have seen a solution using CSS Style Sheet to zoom but it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if there may be a solution where auto zoom is as simple as in Chrome browsers.

How to stop pages opening in Full Screen Mode? This occurs on most software and is very annoying when you have a large monitor with one small picture taking up the whole screen.PLUS trying to reduce the size of the screen means the cursor has to find a tiny one pixel area in the corner in order to reduce the screen size. This takes up a lot of time when working on several images.(enlarging the cursor size is not an answer and makes it worse because it's hard to exactly align the cursor with the text or else it edits the wrong line of text).

Sometimes I feel like focusing a section of a Safari window (eyesight matter, for example) and I don't want to lose vision of other things going on, say, msn, skype, or even a movie I'm watching.
I have an extremely frustrating and sporadic problem. I have no idea what triggers it and I have no idea how to check.Right now, whenever I roll my mouse over anything that should have an "action", it doesn't work. My dock doesn't magnify, menu rollovers on websites don't do anything, and my menu bar doesn't drop down or highlight when I roll my mouse over options. I have to hold my mouse button down, and then let it go when I want to click on something in my menu bar. I plugged in a different mouse, same problem. I restarted my machine, same problem. This has happened several time before and the funny thing is things all of a sudden return to normal.

The zooming function on the trackpad stopped working on my Mac Air OSX 10.9.3. I've already checked the trackpad preferences to make sure I didn't inadvertently alter something. It worked fine in the morning then when I woke my computer in the afternoon the zoom no longer worked. I use this function constantly so I hope something is not broken.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm doing a photo slideshow with some video sliced in. It should all have clean transitions that include slight zooming, scaling, panning. Each transition needs to be customized for each shot so the zooming doesn't randomly zoom into an arm or a forehead or something rediculous as of now I presume adobe premiere is what I will be using as it can do all that. I was just curious if ilife09 does it or something else so that I can get it done fast and as streamlined as possible.
the presentation then has to be burned to a DVD.

2. Tere are frequent "nfs server localhost:/5pBJvp-jULTJrbfF3Hpvc5: not responding nfs server localhost:/5pBJvp-jULTJrbfF3Hpvc5: is alive again" error messages in Terminal while I am running 'find' command.
These error messages seem to be correlated witth the user interface 'freezes'.

I'm having a brain fart, but since I've installed 10.6, if I don't touch my mouse for 1 minute or so, the screen dims. It didn't use to do this before, and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to fix it. My cord is plugged in, and under energy settings I can't see anything related to this...how do I fix this? Is it acting as though I am running off of battery power, and dimming after a minute. I even changed the settings to NOT dim, even on battery power. On another topic, this update actually cost Apple money, because I was planning on buying a new MacBook Pro, but I zeroed out the hard drive and did a clean install, and my old Mac is so fast now, it is as if I DO have a new MacBook!
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy monitor has been flickering in all my graphic programs. I'm thinking this has something to do with OSX 10.5.8 and the ATI Radeon 9000 card in my G4 MDD. I've swapped out the ATI card for another of the same quality to see if I get the same problem. The flickering came back. I am now trying out a generic lcd (cornea) to see if the problem occurs.

I'm using a new MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.3.The behaviour I want to change happens when I have a Finder window maximised.
If I open a file in the open folder, the finder "slides" offscreen, to the right, as the file opens. When I close the file, instead of the Finder window I see the desktop.
If I'm working through a folder with lots of file I have to check or alter, this is a massive waste of time. How to change the settings so that Finder simply stays open?
Updated to 10.1.2 via App Store- launches, gets to splash screen, sits there forever. Not frozen (can quit FCPX, for example), but it never goes further.
Tried deleting preferences - same thing.
Uninstalled app as per Apple Support Document, then reinstalled from App Store - same thing.
Tried launching by double-clicking on a library from a previous version - eventually got to a screen asking me to select a library; when I did, app Crashed.
Tried restoring 10.1.1 from Time Machine backup -> this worked, and the 10.1.1 ran fine.
Then updated from App Store - back to splash screen dead stop problem.
Repaired permissions, verified disc, booted up in recovery mode and tended to disc - no change in behavior.
I've had my 15" MBP for just over a month, it was a refurb purchased direct from Apple. I've noticed the video issue where the top 1/2 of the screen would flash, blink. It's happened maybe 3 or 4 times. It seems to only happen after it wakes from sleep and the only fix is to reboot. I know i can switch the video card over and from what i read, it solves the issue.
Here's my question, since I can't get it to do it on demand, ( i did however record a video actually 2 on 2 separate occasions) should i take it in for repair now? will the problem get worse? or should i wait it out for bit in case something else goes wrong down the road??
