Is it at all possible to zoom within the application's window only?
Sometimes I feel like focusing a section of a Safari window (eyesight matter, for example) and I don't want to lose vision of other things going on, say, msn, skype, or even a movie I'm watching.
How do I stop mouse movements froming causing display images from zooming beyond the monitors dimensions?

I like OS X Lion. It's the fastest system upgrade I've ever seen on a Mac. With that said, I have this problem. I'm using a Magic Mouse. Just since my Lion upgrade, while I'm in Safari, browsing, every so often it just zooms in close on the page. Doesn't matter the site. It does it on a google search or a Mac discussions page. Something I am inadvertently doing or some glitch with the system (with mouse?).
I say mouse because it usually happens as I move the mouse over to click on something on the page. I thought it might be a combination of twitching fingers on mouse top, and maybe the movement of mouse together. I don't know, but when it happens I can't undo it. So I have to get out of the page. If I just try to reload page, or put the same thing in the search engine again, it doesn't matter, it still is zoomed. It's ridiculous. How I can either stop it or zoom back?

I struggling to find the best way to zoom Safari webpages automatically. I have used an extension called AllPagesZoom but when used on Youtube pages.I'm unable to drag player scrolls properly and some radio button problems too. I have seen a solution using CSS Style Sheet to zoom but it didn't work for me. I'm wondering if there may be a solution where auto zoom is as simple as in Chrome browsers.

The zooming function on the trackpad stopped working on my Mac Air OSX 10.9.3. I've already checked the trackpad preferences to make sure I didn't inadvertently alter something. It worked fine in the morning then when I woke my computer in the afternoon the zoom no longer worked. I use this function constantly so I hope something is not broken.

Each transition needs to be customized for each shot so the zooming doesn't randomly zoom into an arm or a forehead or something rediculous as of now I presume adobe premiere is what I will be using as it can do all that. I was just curious if ilife09 does it or something else so that I can get it done fast and as streamlined as possible.

I have found a bug with the 27" iMac (i upgraded from a 24" imac. stupid move.?)when I zoom in on an image the window with go on the RH side to the iMacs max screen width. in that it hides the scroll bars behind the Pallet and side menus and options.Has anyone else had this problem.?has anyone else found a cure for this also.

I run Vista on both Mac machines. I'm wondering what experiences others have had with Windoze apps that have "bombed out" under BootCamp. Got any that failed? What are they?

I transferred them over into the emulator (SheepShaver), and OS 8 is detecting them as documents, not as applications.Anybody seen this before?If I install software, it works fine, but not if I copy it over. I don't have the original installer, but I do have the application in a .sit archive. I think it should be fine if I copy the archive over to OS 8, and then decompress it there. Problem here is, I can't find a download link to a version of Stuffit Expander that will run on OS 8 (I think I need version 4 or 5.)

was running the flash player from Pandora.com in dashboard using a Safari webclip; however this was sucking up 30% of CPU usage even when the player was idle (ie., paused). This was causing my heat fans to run way too often. The Pandora One application (which runs via Adobe Air) only uses 10% CPU when running on the desktop. So I was wanting to see how much CPU it would suck up if I could somehow run it in dashboard.

Anyhow, I bought a used Mac Book Pro and the previous owner had Little Snitch installed on the computer. I keep getting some fairly annoying messages about kernal tasks and programs accessing the internet. I know what it is trying to do, I just don't find it necessary. So, I went into my applications, found Little Snitch, and dragged it to the trash. I then emptied the trash secure in the knowledge that I had just uninstalled and gotten rid of the Little Snitch. But no. The pop up box persists. Does anyone have any insight as to how I can rid myself of this nuisance?

I'll go up to the menu bar at the top and discover that its not the appropriate menu bar for the application I'm in. I might be in Safari (responsive in the window), but it says "Finder" in the menu bar - or Quicktime or some other open app. I can cycle through the windows without a problem, but the menu bar doesn't change. Then all of a sudden, everything is fine.

what a pain - can't seem to delete anything that comes off my external HD in mac - external has been reformatted because it was hooked up to XP PC and wouldn't accept any thing off the mac - its a TB external with about 5GB of stuff on it that I use daily - I had folders on there that have applications for XP no use to me now but trash won't delete - it just won't do it - they are big files to and I can't take them out of the trash without making another copy so some are now x3 its insane - is this a fault of the maker or the system or the external???

I have downloaded some content using a torrent and selected the 'burn to dvd' option. However, can someone let me know how I can now view this? Ideally I would like to view this in my DVD player. View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyway, I just recieved MBA 11' as a xmas gift. i liked its applications (ie garage band, ical, dashboard etc.) but because i have been using Windows (XP,vista and windows 7 at the moment) ever since i had my first pc, i am not really comfortable on navigating my way through this laptop.
question: i know i can change my os, but by doing so, will i lose those applications mentioned? and if i will, can i ever get them back (but with windows still installed)? also, is there any way to marge the two and get the best of both worlds (windows os + MBA applications)?

When I sync on my MBP, if I go to try to get the apps off my iMac,
I erase the apps I got from my MBP.
