I recently bought a new iMac OSX 7.4 and had to uninstall and reinstall my original printer. Now I find that I can't download or print PDF documents , vouchers, look at my statements, etc.

I have an iMac running Mac OS 10, version 10.5.6 It is about 3 months old. I have it hard wired to an ADSL Router and my HP 2510 All-in-One Printer is hard wired into the same Router. My Mac lists this printer in "Applications: HP all-in-one chooser." As soon as I click on my printer a window comes up that says "the HP all-in-one chooser quit unexpectedly." I have tried reinstalling the driver software from my disk and from the HP site. When I try to print anything, it will go to the printer queue and sit on the list there but it will not print it. Any guesses as to what I am doing wrong? Beside each document listed in the que it says "stopped", when I try to reprint a document it will open a new window that says "Operation could not be completed, client error not possible." What the hell does that mean? Oh yes, When I open my "Printers" folder I have this printer listed three times, could this be the conflict? How do I get rid of 'em?

This occurs in both Adobe Acrobat (v10.1.3) and Preview (v 4.2 - 469.5).Â
Printer in use is a HP 2600n connected via USB cable.

Pdf documents open only with QuickTime. If there are 2 pages or more you can ses only the first. If you want to print, the preview is empty and nothing is printed!

This week all of the documents i try to print i put on hold. Restarting doesnt work. deleting and reinstalling printer doesnt work. It is connected by IP and the mac is on the network. Other people can print fine.

i've been using liteicon and iconfinder.com to change my dock icons. for those who are familiar with using liteicon, im only able to change the finder, dashboard, trash empty/full, "url"??, and widget icons. these are easy to change with a simple dragging and dropping of the icon you want onto the icon you wish to change. but as for the other icons you may have put on your dock, im totally lost on. for an example, i've been trying to change my ichat icon, and ive read to click "get info" on the icon i chose to change it to, and click command + c, then go to the original ichat "get info" and click edit, then command + v (copy + paste obviously) and it's not working? i'm totally lost on how to change such icons that aren't listed in the liteicon application! the other question is how do i change the application/document/download icons on the dock? even through liteicon, i'm not able to change it. do i need a certain kind of file type?

On a couple, but not all, of my financial institutions webpages, I can't download the statements and save them as pdf. When I click the pdf link, a page opens showing the statement, but to see it all, one has to scroll the screen. When I try to print it, by clicking File on the toolbar, the pulldown menu gives me only the option of Print Largest Frame which prints only what is visible on the screen in the window. When I try to save by going to File, then Save As, a window opens for print options giving me two format choices: Page Source (html) or Web Archive, but no pdf. The statements never download, nor open as pdf.Â
What is odd, is that this issue is not common to all financial institutions. On some, the statements read, load, save, and print as pdf just fine. I have updated the Adobe Reader, and all software on my Mac.Â

I have a Macbookpro operating Mac OSX 10.6.4 and I use the Safari browser. I use Easyjet a lot and have had no problem printing/downloading boarding passes - until recently. The two last times I've traveled (within the past 2 weeks) I have been unable to print or download. My partner has no problem using her conventional laptop with the same booking reference.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
I can't download any widgets from apple's dashboard widget download page.I click on the "download" button of a selected widget, and it immediately takes me to the homepage of all apple downloads without doing anything.I've tried on safari & firefox, but the same thing happens.I just bought this computer the other day, so I'm running the latest versions of everything.
