Jun 26, 2012 I've recently upgraded to Lion and have found that Quicktime movies and embedded Flash movies won't work. With the embedded flash all I get is a black box, and with quicktime movies, such as the ones on the Apple website, I get nothing - the irony of not being able to watch movies on the Apple site with my Apple iMac gives me a little chuckle. Anyways ....... I've been reading thread after thread and trying lots of different things but nothing works. I've got this feeling inside that says it's something simple but just can't seem to find it.

Safari :: Since Upgrading It Will Not Open At All?
Mar 23, 2012I did the latest upgrade last week... now when I try to open safari a problem report box comes up " safari quit unexpectedly click reopen to open the application again. this report will be sent to apple automatically." when i click reopen the box dissapears and comes back . if i click okay it just closes the box. Am I going to have to delete safari and reinstall it? I hate having to use firefox.

Jun 4, 2012if it is possible to upgrade the USB 2.0s on the MacBook Pro (2010) to USB 3.0s? I know the new Macbooks are dropping soon with 3.0s on em, and Instead of swapping out computers entirely, I am interested in upgrading my internals as far as I can, just to keep up with the curve and to increase my Macs performance. (2) will the new hardware work with Lion? Im not sure if there would be any type of hardware-recognition issues associated with the upgrade. (3) If not, would it likely work with Mountian Lion?
And Lastly (4), How is it done? Im sure its pretty straitforward after popping off the base plate and getting a look inside the Notebook, but Im actually going to purchace new RAM to increase the speed at which my Mac runs, and new USBs, and possibly even a boosted HDD to throw inside and Instead of taking the back off so many times, I kindof wanna do it all at once.I cant be the only one who wants to boost the USBs.

May 3, 2012Since downloading the newest version of OS Lion (currently using version 10.7.3) when I use the trackpad on my MacBook Pro if I use two fingers and drag down that now makes the screen image scroll up and vice versa. Does anyone else have this problem? It feels backwards to me and is the opposite of how I used to use two fingers to scroll upd/down before upgrading this afternoon.

Sep 2, 2008I am using QT ver 7.5 with OS 10.3.9 and I always install software updates. All of a sudden I can't open QT videos in emails, I get the question mark inside the Q and the message says "additional software is needed...check the QT website". So I have checked, and done a reinstall, and installed add-ons and nothing works. Do I need to reload an older version of QT software to fix this? What version is best?

Mar 28, 2012Last week I upgraded my 2011 MacBook Pro (purchased July 2011) to 10.7.3. Now when I lift the lid to wake up the computer there is a several second lag time before the cursor can move. Under 10.6.8 the computer woke up instantly and the cursor was ready to use immediately. Is this a Lion bug and is there any work around, since I find this delay annoying? Not annoying enough to revert back to Snow Leopard, but I really liked how fast this computer is and don't appreciate Lion slowing down its wake up time. Nothing else seems slow since the upgrade, in fact applications seem to be opening even faster.

Jun 4, 2012I've been having this problem for a while now and its only with images and videos when i try to open any picture or video this msg comes up "The file couldn’t be opened because there is no such file" and i can only open it if i copied the file from my hard drive to my computer.when i open the info for the same picture (one in on the hard drive and one my computer) the one on the hard drive has nothing under "more info" while the one on my computer has a lot of details under "more info" .
