Intel Mac :: All My WMV Videos Open With Picasa
May 31, 2012I checked via "get info" that they are opening in WMV but whenever I open one Picasa and photos open and I can't see the attached video. I also can't get rid of Picasa and have followed about 9 sets of instructions on both problems.
how do I get email files video attachments to open without their opening in Picasa?

I have a 1 year old 24" iMac and every time I open videos with a .wmv ending, the machine downloads them but all I get is gibberish text. Do I need a program to open them? It seems like everyone sends me videos with .wmv

Software :: Cannot Open QuickTime Videos In Emails
Sep 2, 2008I am using QT ver 7.5 with OS 10.3.9 and I always install software updates. All of a sudden I can't open QT videos in emails, I get the question mark inside the Q and the message says "additional software is needed...check the QT website". So I have checked, and done a reinstall, and installed add-ons and nothing works. Do I need to reload an older version of QT software to fix this? What version is best?

If a new sovtwere is needed, which one? And can I put it to computer without the previous sovtwere? Ex. From 10.2.8 to 10.6? And can I put 10.6? Somebody is selling a 10.6 on the same computer on ebay. Is it true?
And I can't use my airport. When I write the password of Duke's Lodge, the system sais: The password is wrong. What can I do?

Jun 4, 2012I've been having this problem for a while now and its only with images and videos when i try to open any picture or video this msg comes up "The file couldn’t be opened because there is no such file" and i can only open it if i copied the file from my hard drive to my computer.when i open the info for the same picture (one in on the hard drive and one my computer) the one on the hard drive has nothing under "more info" while the one on my computer has a lot of details under "more info" .Â

Apr 1, 2012I can't watch videos anymore, on any site (youtube, facebook...). I hear the sound, but the browser (Safari, Firefox, Opera, Chrome) locks in place. I reinstalled Flash Player multiple times. I updated everything there is to update. Still can't watch videos. This happened overnight from March 30 to April 1.

Apr 21, 2012My old PC broke and I had someone recover the data of the harddrive for me, he told me he would recover the data so it worked on Macs. All the music, songs etc are working, however the videos are not working. The videos are in '.avi' and some are in '.mpg'Â
When I try to open them it says "the document "DOCUMENTNAME.MPG" could not be opened. A required codec isnt available.."Â There is a button that says tell me more, when I press it, it takes me to this page, [URL]which doesnt make a lot of sense to me. Would someone help me open and save my files in the correct format!?Â

Jun 28, 2012Bought an iMac 3.1 ghz i5 Core (16gb memory). First got it, Adobe TV (tv.adobe.com) worked fine. Great! Then something happened and I'm sure it has something to do with an installation of software. My running bet is on the VirusBarrier. Other suggestions said: (1) Delete Flash Player, clear cache, restart, reinstall FP, delete video files cached via the FP preferences. (2) Another said right click on video window, set the FP settings to allow storage on computer, and another said to deselect hardware acceleration.Â
And to throw in another point, I have a MacBook Pro 17 (i5 Core) running beside me that has the ability to play the Adobe TV videos with no problem. Are there any other suggestions someone else may have? Firewalls? Turned off and then on. Nothing. Flash Player? Installed and all other flash media sites work fine. So it has something to do with the streaming I'm guessing?Â
