Apr 30, 2012I just bought the latest MacBook Pro with Lion 10.7.3 in Australia last month. I use firefox but am having trouble reading as the total screen isn't being utilised I use [URL] as a home page but it does not fill the screen and it hard to read. I was just in the Apple store and an employee there said she was having the same issue..
The Control 2 finger gesture makes it bigger but doesn't get rid of what look like large margins. I have tried the pinch gesture but maybe I am not using the correct technique as nothing happens...Â
I tried adding a screen shot by dragging a dropping but that didn't work Finally, I don't know which forum is best: Lion or MacBook Pro...Â

After I got a SSL cert, enroll the ipad.However, I could not see any way to push my notification to application in my ipad. So here is my question:Â
1. Does the APNs set up in the Lion Server Connecting to the gateway.apple.com:2195 or directly connect to the ipad? Because my target environment will be a private network.Â

Mar 28, 2012I'd like to be able to hook a mouse up to Macbook Air and have it scroll properly, without breaking the scroll direction on its trackpad (or my magic pad). In other words, I want to disable "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling" for mice, and enable "Scroll direction: natural" for trackpads. These seem to be the same setting, though, as checking/unchecking one has the same effect on the other.Â
How can I do this, as I'd love to be able to easily switch to a mouse, without having to mentally reverse the direction of the scroll wheel.

Or could I make a user, use the assistant, and copy the data from the new user made by the assistant to the original one?Â

Mar 10, 2012I then whantet to reconnect my Airport Express, witch i use for music in the living room.But i couldent for the life of me find out how to do that, so i thougt, ill just reset the thing, and set it up again.But this is where the problem starts.Every time i try to connect to the Express via the wifi list, the Airport Utility starts up fine, and starts the setup, but then crashes...!It dose this every time, at the same place, when it says "reading previous settings". May 1, 2012Is there any way that the default stack memory limit for a user in Mac OS X Lion? You can you ulimit in Terminal.app to display information, you cannot change any values.Â
This is what is returned from ulimit when you try to change the stack memory size.Â

-bash: ulimit: stack size: cannot modify limit: Operation not permittedÂ
Also, the default value is 8192KB which is approx. 8MB. That is weak, especially on my 2011 iMac with 16GB of RAM. I mainly do scientific programming on my Mac (Fortran). These programs usually require a larger stack size. One option is to allocate data to the heap but that is very slow.Â

Jun 1, 2012I'm using Lion 10.7.4 with an external Drive on which I've set a partition to store my iPhoto and iTunes Libraries. I called this volume "Media" and checked "ignore ownership ont his volume" as I wanted to share these libraries between my user and my wife's one.Until a few days ago everything ran quite fine, then I noticed I had read errors running my rsync backup. In fact, "ignore ownership" was off, and is reset to off upon each reboot Â
I haven't searched if there's a way to enable it by using a command line tool, which could be an acceptable workaround by launching this command line at each boot, but I'd be interested in knowing why this is happening, I could try to move all data to another partition forth and back and recreating the volume in between, but as I'm talking about 100+ GB I'd be glad if there's another way?

OS X :: Webpage Not Loading?
Oct 20, 2010I have recently switched most of the company I work for from PC to Mac. I have been having reports that [URL] will not load most of the time and when it does there are no graphics.
I have checked this on three different machines all with 10.6.4 using Safari, Chrome, and FireFox (one 27" iMac, one new mini, and one 15" MBP). They all act the same. Either the site times out and is not loaded at all or it loads in really large blue fonts that are all squished to the left of the browser window. The main thing these machines have in common is that they all have Parallels installed with Windows 7 installed. Two have Parallels v5 and the iMac has v6.
Initially I thought it was our ISP, BUT if you try it on any other mac that does not have parallels installed the site works fine in all three browsers. Also if you launch a browser in windows inside Parallels the site loads up correctly.
All other sites that are visited seem to be working fine on these same machines.
I have checked DNS and all seems well. All machines on the network (PC and Mac) are using the same DNS servers. All PC's work fine regardless of the browser used.
