In a Finder window, if I'm looking for photos (for example) and I click on the thumbnail view, I cannot enlarge the thumbnails like I used to with the pinch gesture. Has this been disabled in Lion 10.7? Is there a way to allow it again? The 'Pinch to Zoom' gesture has been allowed in System preferences and it works with every application, just not in a Finder window.

With Snow Leopard and my MBP I was able to use the pinch to zoom on the trackpad to zoom in or out on my desktop icons. It doesn't seem to work anymore in Lion. Is there a way to enable it?Â

I'm trying the new Safari and I love the support for the pinch gesture (coming to Firefox in the next version apparently). Anyhow, I find it difficult to control how quickly the page zooms. Is there any setting to slow the zoom down, i.e. make it less sensitive?
View 24 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, and spontaneously, pinch to zoom is not working in any area of Motion. I thought maybe I accidentally did some keyboard thing that disabled it, but System Preferences shows it's still enabled, and pinch to zoom is working normally in all other applications. It's just not working in Motion for some reason. I've restarted Motion and that didn't fix it. Also rebooted and surprisingly that also didn't fix it.Â

When I zoom in on a website containing specific types of buttons, the buttons appear to become full of question marks or something, instead of the button. As far as I can tell, the types of buttons that do this are ones like "Login" buttons, and others.Since I don't know how exaclty to word the description of the buttons, here are examples of them:

Is there any way to reinstall an older version of DVD Player? Are there any alternate programs to watch DVD's (not converted, full versions) which allow zoom?

am using a Rev A MBA, and I just noticed that after the 10.5.6 update, I have lost the functionality of the pinch gesture when trying to enlarge/reduce icons ? both on the desktop and finder. Still works in all other areas like photos or webpages.

Just today my magic muse has stopped recognizing 2 finger gestures, I cant swipe to go back or forward in safari or folders. I already turned it off and on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Magic Mouse since last thursday (29th Oct) and i've noticed the 2 finger swipe gesture no longer actually functions. I'm trying it in Safari (with history available to swipe through) and its definately enabled in the system preferences.
Instead of doing the swipe gesture it now just scrolls left and right. Its also not a case of positioning my fingers wrong as it used to work around 2 days ago and now it definitely no longer works.
I'm going to re-pair it a few times and replace the batteries but if it doesnt magically come back I will be replacing it.Just curious if anyone else who has had their magic mouse for this long has lost this gesture too?
I have just upgraded to 10.7.3 and Preview no longer works properly in that I cannot save any files when I try to Scan.Â

I have been using Lion for many months with few issues. But the Address Book application on my iMac started acting up two days ago and now will not open at all. BTW, I use iCloud extensively to sync the iMac, an iBook, an iPad and and iPhone. The Address Book app still works fine on the other three, just not the iMac.

I've been using a 3TB western digital hard drive flawlessly for months now. I'm posting here because the only thing that has changed within the time frame of my WD hard drive no longer working is updating my Lion install to 10.7.3. When I plug my WD hard drive into either of my macs (which are both running 10.7.3 , one is a macbook, the other an iMac) the external hard drive shows up on my desktop, and within 5 seconds will disconnect itself and I'll then get a warning telling me that I didn't eject my hard drive properly. I was starting to think it was my USB or power cable until I plugged the WD external into my old Compaq laptop that I'm running Linux on and it worked flawlessly!

The 10.7.3 Lion Server System is bound to our Active Directory Server running on Win2003 R2 Server. I tried un-binding and rebinding the system but.. no luck. When a user now tries to login to our shares via AFP with SSO credentials they recieve the message Â

For a long time I was running Firefox 3.0 just fine, until a few months ago when every time I tried to open it, it froze up and I had to shut it down. I removed it and installed Firefox 2.0 which was fine for a while but I would really like to start using 3.0 again.

From time to time, as I am composing a message using Gmail in Safari, the email screen "freezes." I cannot continue to type, copy or paste, or do anything else to manipulate the screen; it is as if the page has become an image. I speculate that this is due to some inadvertant "gesture" on my part, as at other times my Safari screen will sometimes zoom in and out unaccountably, presumably because my track pad senses two fingers pinching instead of scrolling. This latter problem is very annoying, but I attribute it to my own clumsiness. The former problem of the screen freeze is more than annoying, as it requires me to completely redo a sometimes lengthy email. Is there a gesture that causes a screen to be captured as an image?

I been using Mac all my life, I have boot camp with Windows 7 X64 install and my leopard is running X64. I been using my windows 7 more than my mac spent 4 month straight using windows (windows put cocaine in there to get us hook). Any way one day my friend wanted to play a game of age of empires on Mac since he doesn't have windows so I boot in mac fine after a swift victory. I boot in mac and windows no longer works: blue screen of death so I reinstall after a few weeks I go back to mac to update and I check my windows partition from my mac all I see is 1 file with weird symbols? I go back to windows and it crashes again. So I figure it my bootcamp has a problem or it my mac side.
