OS X V10.7 Lion :: How To Set A Reminder To Repeat Itself Daily
Jun 30, 2012
When I first purchased Lion and used the iCal application, I was able to set Reminders to repeat themselves on a daily basis (eg. Take Your Pill). But now, for some unknown reason, this option has disappeared. I have one reminder that still shows this (since I have not marked it completed), but I cannot create any new daily reminders. What happened? Did Apple remove this option from iCal?
I can no longer hold down a key and get the character to repeat as say, aaaaa. Instead I get a menu of accented a's, such as àáâäæãåā. I can't find any thing in the System Preferences that allows my to turn this function off.
Time Machine does full backups of my MBP almost every day.I carry it back and forth between my office and my home so I don't know if it does a full bakcup every time the network changes or if this is the result of a bug.A daily full backup is rather excessive and Time Machine doesn't have any user configurable settings regarding type and frequency of backup.
Since 12th May when updated to 10.7.4 have at least one kernel panic per day sometimes four per day which means iMac i3 is useless for running a server platform. Multiple entries about this form may users is there a bug in OSX update? My recovery partition holds 10.7.2 any idea if this is bug prone as well?

I want to set a reminder to e.mails. Eg in microsoft outlook I can just drag an email to the calender and it opens on the set date automatically? is this possible and if yes how?
On my Mac and in iCloud, I can only add Reminders to two Calendar types, Home and Sarah. I'd like to add other reminders for calendars labeled Work, for example. However, I can only choose to reclassify Reminders in the other Calendar types that have Reminders- so only Home and Sarah. Do I have to do something in iCloud for me to gain this ability?
Items entered in Reminders no longer appear on deaktop...using OS10.9.5 (which is not on the Operating System menu below). Cannot find a "preferences" tab or way to make them reappear.
how to reset the default iCal reminder alarm. Mine is set to the bassoon, but what I'd like to have as a default is the glass sound. Is what I'm asking even possible?
The previous Wireless Alum. Keyboard was model MB167LL/A. The one on Apple's site is now MC184LL/A complete with wiped reviews (I think there is one now).
Is there anything different about it? Maybe an improved BT antenna to go with the theme of the other devices that were updated?
edit: someone beat me to it I suppose, but didn't state it was the wireless so I didn't see it at first. 2 batteries now I suppose.
I created this piece of code using AppleScript Editor on OS X Lion 10.7.3 and I want to make it automatically repeat itself every 10 seconds. The code is supposed to reload the tab which the user is currently on every 10 seconds. I made the reload part but can't figure out how to make it reload every 10 seconds after extensive googling. Here is the code, can someone add the needed code it to make it reload the current page every 10 seconds and reply to me please.tell application "Safari" activateend telltell application "System Events" tell process "Safari" keystroke "r" using {command down}end tellend tell
I didn't find this in a forum search. Lately, the "quit' command in the File menu is greyed out and will not work in Safari (v 5.1.5). Likewise, the cmd-Q doesn't work either.I can Force-Quit, but that seems unreasonable. I can't duplicate the issue, so I don't know what I'm doing to trigger this. Anyone encounter similar behavior? Having posted, I now see several similar threads. The only suggestion I see is to delete the history and cache, and then reboot. I'll try that. However, if i just force-quit and re-open, the issue may not reoccur for hours or days. I regularly run Onyx and delete all of that as suggested, yet the issue seems to keep happening. I guess my question now: does the deletion really temporarily solve the issue, or is the issue random and doesn't usually repeat right away. Any thoughts on what's happening?

For an unknown reason, iTunes button and menu controls for shuffle, repeat, back and next have stopped working. I have iTunes 10.6.3 on a MacBook Pro (early 2008) running Lion (10.7.4). I have made sure software is up to date and have restarted the computer and software more than once to no avail.
How can i open the files in the folder if you scroll to "--open file items of the name folder" you can see where I am struggling to run the script. How should this look to run, currently the script runs, with no errors or anything appearing in the folders.
When I sustain pressure over a key I get repeats if that key happens to be a special character but only a single character if it is an alphanumeric key. The key repeat in the keyboard preferences is at is fastest.I would like it the other way.

How do I get the Calendar to repeat an event just one day a week? It always wants to repeat across all days and all weeks, not just the one day each week I want.
I have just upgraded to Maverick (OSX 10.9.4) and have lost the ability to select alert repeat times. Previously I could choose 5/10/15 minutes or 1 hour/day/week. Now I can only snooze for 15 minutes. Where have the options gone? If I want to repeat the alert in 1 day it is difficult to have to click on snooze every 15 minutes.
My date and time resets each time my mac sleeps or is reset or if I open date and time options. It keeps sending emails of my old reminders from 2008/2009 from ical and my to-do list emails me its reminders. This happens every time I open my comp or even just open date and time options. I also get the ical reminder notification that pops up freezes on my screen. Not sure how this happened, but can anyone help?
I know I could use text edit or iwork but I was looking for some software that I could keep open while at work that I would could put in the projects and things I am working on. My boss wants me to keep a captain's log per say of my every day stuff.
I'm about to buy new 27" iMac. I am undecided between the two quad core models. There are big differences in the daily use between the two? worth spending more for the Core i7.
