Is there anything different about it? Maybe an improved BT antenna to go with the theme of the other devices that were updated?
edit: someone beat me to it I suppose, but didn't state it was the wireless so I didn't see it at first. 2 batteries now I suppose.
I'm debating getting a 13 inch 4GB for a second/travel computer and have read many threads where folks are speculating that you should be able to or could edit but I'd like to see some links to your YouTube videos that have been edited with your late 2010 MBA and iMovie.

I created this piece of code using AppleScript Editor on OS X Lion 10.7.3 and I want to make it automatically repeat itself every 10 seconds. I didn't find this in a forum search. Lately,the "quit' command in the File menu is greyed out and will not work in Safari (v 5.1.5). Likewise, the cmd-Q doesn't work either.I can Force-Quit, but that seems unreasonable. I can't duplicate the issue, so I don't know what I'm doing to trigger this. Anyone encounter similar behavior? Having posted, I now see several similar threads. The only suggestion I see is to delete the history and cache, and then reboot. I'll try that. However, if i just force-quit and re-open, the issue may not reoccur for hours or days. I regularly run Onyx and delete all of that as suggested, yet the issue seems to keep happening. I guess my question now: does the deletion really temporarily solve the issue, or is the issue random and doesn't usually repeat right away. Any thoughts on what's happening?

When I first purchased Lion and used the iCal application, I was able to set Reminders to repeat themselves on a daily basis (eg. Take Your Pill). But now, for some unknown reason, this option has disappeared. I have one reminder that still shows this (since I have not marked it completed), but I cannot create any new daily reminders. What happened? Did Apple remove this option from iCal?

When I sustain pressure over a key I get repeats if that key happens to be a special character but only a single character if it is an alphanumeric key. The key repeat in the keyboard preferences is at is fastest.I would like it the other way.

when I got my macbook with Lion, I changed the keyrepeat to a bit higher speed, because I think the default is a bit to slow.
Then I changed my Harddrive and immigrated my user profile, except the User Data folders...
Then, I changed had to change my UID to make my old Userdata available again, and I guess, something may be went wrong here...
Wenn I change the keyrepeat speed in the keyboard preferences, there is no effect at all. It stays at the same speed, even if I turn of the keyrepeat.

I am looking for a photo. I stuck it somewhere, but can't remember where! Not in iPhoto, however. What I'd like to do is do a search like: "find all .jpeg files, but don't include those in iPhoto library". How can I do that? It was a photo that I edited in Photoshop Elements, then saved somewhere.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased photoshop elements and installed it on my iMac. In photoshop, I opened a photo that was in iPhoto, edited the photo, then saved it with a new name (to preserve the original photo - I simply added the letter "a" at the end of the file name).
Now I can't find the edited photo - it's not in iPhoto in the event that the original was in. I can locate the photo using the search magnifying glass in the top right of the screen, but I don't know where it's actually located to find directly. If I right-click the file name it appears to show a hierarchy of paths that seems to indicate it's in the same "event" (June 14, 2010) in iPhoto. But it's not. When I open finder and go to iPhoto library, it doesn't show the contents.
I have added new contacts on icloud but they are not going to my ipad, What did i do wrong.. i have no idea.. it use to work when i added them on icloud they would just appear on my ipad

I have just upgraded to Maverick (OSX 10.9.4) and have lost the ability to select alert repeat times. Previously I could choose 5/10/15 minutes or 1 hour/day/week. Now I can only snooze for 15 minutes. Where have the options gone? If I want to repeat the alert in 1 day it is difficult to have to click on snooze every 15 minutes.

I can no longer hold down a key and get the character to repeat as say, aaaaa. Instead I get a menu of accented a's, such as àáâäæãåā. I can't find any thing in the System Preferences that allows my to turn this function off.

A while ago I edited a video for a client. Everything went well until the project was actually, well... done. I edited in iMovie, converted the clip to MPEG-4 and burned it to DVD with free software called Burn. The disc played just fine for me on a couple different machines, but he could never get it to play in Windows Media Player. I told him to install codecs; still nothing.
So instead I burned the DVD again, this time in iDVD. So I'm guessing this time the video format was in MPEG-2. Again, the DVD played perfectly fine when I tested it on two different machines. The client tries to play the DVD in Windows Media Player. Still nothing...
I've told him to download VLC, but he's arguing the fact that this disc should work on pre-installed software on every PC (in this case, Windows Media Player). I do agree with him on that, but let's face it, Windows Media Player is not the best software to use. So my question: What is the best way to go about this? I've tried using Burn and iDVD with no luck (on his end).
Since the latest update, iTunes now only syncs the master images from my aperture library. this seems to be specific to photos edited after updating to Mac OSX 10.7.4. Have tried unsyncing and resyncing. Happens on both my iPhone 4s and iPad 2.

I've been trying to figure out how iPhoto stores its photos. I've heard that it stores multiple copies of my pictures. I started wondering what was going on when, after importing all my pictures into iPhoto, I started to remove red eye from some pictures. I noticed that after removing the red eye and saving and closing iPhoto, if I opened it back up and looked at the photos that I removed the red eye from... not sure how to describe this, but basically the pictures opened up with 'blurry' eyes and then they focused in and were sharp and had no red eye. It wasn't like after I removed the red eye the picture was saved in that state, but rather the photo was marked as having red eye in an area and every time its opened the red eye is removed.
After some searching, I noticed it keeps a copy of the original and the edited version. However, I don't want to keep the original if I accept the edited. I don't know if it needs the original and it just marks the area of the original to remove the red eye each time it's opened. I'm curious if I was to email the picture if the recipient would see red eye or not. This post says I can delete the originals folder [URL] but if I examine my iphoto library, my originals folder has 1.3gb and the next biggest folder (modified) is 75mb so I think all the photos are stored in the originals and I don't want to delete them. Why does the red eye edit itself out each time rather than saving that way?

I want to start organizing, tagging etc my photos I have 1000's so its gonna be a big job.
Looking at tutorials on the web etc, it looks like in your Home folder it has edited versions and original versions of all pics that you have, so basically whatever size your library is, its twice the size (on the ones you've edited)
Is this correct? and is it worth keeping the originals? Photos (along with vids and music) is the one thing I want to backup separate to another HDD, along with the backup already using Time Machine, or is this overkill (ie just one copy on iMac and one in Time machine is enough)
So should I backup the iPhoto library with the originals and the edited in or just the final edited versions? what do others do please.
Also if I have tagged everything in iPhoto, if I copy the actual pics to a Windows PC, does all the tagging go with the pics? eg as per iTunes I done a lot of tagging in there, but the tags are in the actual music file so when I play it on a Windows PC, Xbox 360 etc the tags are ok read by it.
I edited two different pieces of chroma key to composite. I had many pieces of video and edited them togeth and exported them to a file then reimported it into an iMovie event. I did the same with the background and combined them together. I did this once before and no trouble.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSomeone edited a sequence for me in Premiere. The audio was recorded 4 channel on a external recorder (four mics were used). At times, he used the wrong channel in the timeline. I believe what he did was take all the channel one audio and put it on the timeline and deleted the other 3 channels. Hence In many cases, using the wrong mic.IS there a way to swap channels in the timeline? I would almost need to do a reconnect, but swap channels at the same time. I use FCP and will convert this to a FCP sequence using 7toX.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a pretty big collection of music on iTunes - almost 1000 albums - and I'm pretty anal about the way it's stored and managed and I regularly change the song and album information to suit my own "house style". All my music was stored on a Dell laptop and was fine - I had no problems with changing and editing the information. I recently bought a MacBook Pro and shifted all the music files from the old machine onto the new one (a lengthy and frustrating process) and since then, I've had a lot of hassle in terms of amending and organising my iTunes collection. A lot of the music I've purchased from the iTunes store has reverted back to its original state, no matter how many times I've changed it.
For example:
Lana Del Rey's Born to Die (Deluxe Version). I've removed the "Deluxe Version" from the title but I quit iTunes or sync it with my iPod, it automatically adds it back. I've changed the information in the song info, I've even changed it in the sort info just to be sure, but it always changes back.
The same with the Anthems Electronic 80s compilation. I want to call it Ministry of Sound: Electronic 80s and remove it from Various Artists (by deleting the album artist from the information). But after iTunes is quit or its been synced, the same thing happens. It appears as two albums on my iPod - a handful of tracks appear under the old title while the bulk of them appear under the new one.
It's happening across loads of albums, all ones I've downloaded (the stuff ripped from CDs seems to be okay). I've done as much as I can in terms of the song info but no matter what I do, it just reverts back when the programme's quit or I sync my iPod. I don't know if it's anything to do with the fact they're in the Cloud or they've been imported from a Dell laptop or there's an underlying problem with iTunes ...

Editing with FCP 7
When I export the sequence I edited with quicktime, the playback video is very different from what I edited on the timeline. The playback has the clips with ins and outs that are way off than what I cut, and some of the clips don't show at all or have changed transitions. However when I play in the timeline in FCP, the sequence is fine, just the way I cut it.
The source of the clips was one long .mov that I cut into clips for the timeline. Everything has gone smoothly but the exported .mov is just so different. How can I get the time codes of the clips to be the same in the exported .movs? I just want the quicktime .mov to represent my edit exactly. can I play within the FCP player window and Log and Capture?

I've had my 8 core mac pro for a bit over a year now, and it's been a great little box---til now. I live in a fairly humid climate, so I've always pretty much left electronic things on most of the time--they seem to like it. However, over Xmas, I took a trip, and turned all my gear off. When I returned, I pressed the button to start my mac pro---nothing, nada, like it was unplugged still. Being an OK troubleshooter, I started by making sure cables were ok etc. Did a search to find if anyone else had a problem. Then, I looked up how to reset the SMC. Up until the 8 core, there was a button. No more on the Mac Pro 8 core. They said unplug for 15 seconds to reset. No joy there. I had determined to take it to a shop, and decided to try one last time before I put it in, a couple of days later. Voila! It booted. Until the beginning of this week. While I was out, there was a short power failure, and it started the same thing.
