since the 23rd march skype crashes after 2minutes when i open it and i cant install the "Mobile DEvice Framework" from xcode, when i click install and enter my password it shows "An error occured. See the install log for more details". url...pls help me i already reinstalled mac osx lion and instaklled the 10.7.3 combo update..but still not working

I got this iBook about 6 months ago for free from my sister. I love it, but recently, I have had the worst time with Mac. I wanted to install Xcode for my Mac, and I installed it. The only problem is that it said it couldn't run due to some bogus error... Later that night, I was just browsing the internet and my browser (Safari) crashed. I went to open it again and it just kept crashing. Then, when I went to switch to Firefox, it also crashed. I tried to go into my HDD or Applications folder and it crashed.
Everything would crash as soon as I tried to open. I tried rebooting. I was stuck at they grey screen with an apple and spinning wheel for half an hour, then gave up. I took out my system restore disks and checked the hardware first. Everything was intact. Then I tried Disk Utility from the System Restore disk and all it said was that it couldn't repair the volume. So I remembered that you could reinstall the operating system without reinstalling user settings. I ran it. It was the worst mistake I could make. It turns out that I got 10.3.3 System Restore disks and a separate 10.4 disk. When I tried reinstalling the Tiger disk, it just kept shooting it back out at me. I couldn't even open the internet as all of my applications were written for Tiger. I asked a friend to do some research for me and she found that the disk included was 'part of a hardware bundle' and was not bootable or even readable by the computer. I ask you, if it's not bootable or readable, why even incude it?! So now I'm trying to find a decent deal on a bootable disk on eBay. If anybody knows anything that might help, it would be aprreciated.
Everytime I start skype while in windows, the computer crashes and I get the blue screen... I think it has to do with the sound drivers, because when I'm using msn messenger also in windows suddenly the microphone mutes itself.
I tryed updating the realtek drivers with no help, updated skype, no help, I uninstalled the realtek drivers and the laptop did not crash anymore but I had no sound, any advice like for example how to get the microsoft drivers to work on the laptop without using realtek??
For whatever reason with the microsoft drivers,I think the sound is trying to come out of the digital outlet, I can see the ligth inside the jack, but nothing comes out of the laptop's speakers...
By the way, the vista version is Home basic.
I am fighting with upgrading my XCode 4.2.1 -> 4.3.1, but im unable to do so from App Store, which claims i have the latest version everytime.

i need to uninstall xcode 4.3 because i found out my installation was corrupt. i used CleanMyMac to uninstall the app, but i can't dowload it from the app store because it sais it's still installed. i looked and the /Developer folder doesn't exist and neither does the app file in the applications folder.

I want to download apple developer tools XCode on my iMac, but it says I need a later version of OSX. What are the downsides to installing the later version (Lion?). I currently have OS X version 10.6.8 on my iMac and it says I'm required to install version 10.7.3 or later. By the way, is the updated version provided free or do I have to buy it? I have reached this website after scrawling to find a solution on the internet. I hope someone can help me with this problem.I have a 4 years old G4 ibook (OS 10.3.7), and have been using it for internet, skype and foto-storage mainly.Situtation:Yesterday I tried to use the internet (Firefox browser) and skype, but the skype didn't work at all. Since firefox was not working properly either, I did force quit and restarted the computer. I attempted this several times until I could use both applications (never had any problems before). However, Skype didn't work, and in the end, I could not quit firefox at all. At last I did force quit again, and saw white screen with apple icon at the centre when restarting. No time-spinning mark, the apple just sits there.
Troubleshooting that I have done:
I called up support center, and they told me that it's very likey that the computer is stopping at "'carnel" stage (I'm sorry but I don't know what this is). The possibility that it's got something to do with HD is 50/50, so I may have to send it to repairing service in the worst case. They told me to try using Disc Install CD1 to check/repair something wrong in my computer. So I followed the instructions and inserted the install CD and restart the computer with "c" key. The computer read the CD and Installer window showed up. As instructed in a manual, I used First Aid in Disc Utility, and tried "repairing disc". After a while it said "1 HFS has been repaired". It also said that Macintosh HD doesn't seem to have a problem", so I quit the disc utility and restarted the computer.
Against my expectation, the same white screen with apple came up on the screen and sits there with no other movements.I'm afraid of trying somethinig without further so I hope I can get the same story or ideas that someone here might have.
On the right hand side of my desktop when I download a program it seems to put an icon or doc on the right hand side. Like right now I have a skype dmg file I can't delete as it says Skype is in use, then right above that is a seperate skype icon that even if I drag to dock it still stays on the right hand side (like a copy), then I downloaded open office again and it put the install icon there (like when you open and you drag your program to teh applications folder)

So I used to be able to use skype video chat and photo booth at the same time but now photo booth says that there isn't a camera connected when I try opening it while I'm skyping.

I bought a WD my book studio 2tb from the apple store and tried formatting it. There was a quick formatter already on the disk but this wouldn't work correctly, so I used the apple disk utility to 'erase data'. I left it on overnight and it seemed to have hung and gone no further, so I turned it off. Now every time I plug the drive in to try and format it, everything freezes and I get the spinning busy wheel.
I've tried disabling spotlight indexing, resetting pram, starting in safe mode and accessing disk utility from the recovery menu. Without fail, within seconds of connecting the drive it crashes everything and I have no idea what it's doing.

have knowledge of C and want to start learning C++. Traditionally, I am a Windows Programmer, but want to start coding apps for Mac OS X. What is the best approach to programming using C++ on OS X?From what I gather only carbon can be used with C++ - but carbon is designed for backward compatability with OS 9/8/etc - but I am not interested in this. Cocoa is OS X only (which I like), but requires objective C. However, I would rather learn C++, as this is widely used in the Windows world, so I believe that C++ would be more useful to learn than Obj-C. Would it be possible for anyone to confirm whether it would be possible to program Cocoa using C++?Also, does anyone know of any good Mac Development websites that have good step by step tutorials to programming in C++ using Xcode?
