I have just purchased new macbook air with OS X 10.7.4. Then I used Time Machine to recover my previous mac pro system. Since then when I use Chrome for a while it suddenly crashes. Screen freezes, and mouse keyboard all become unresponsive. I have to hard restart OS.

Does anyone else have the issue where Google chrome crashes as soon as you open it? This seemed to start happening after the last Lion update. Not sure why.
Can't delete chrome from OSX Lion?, I already went into Library>Application Support but the Google chrome folder is not there?!!. I used to be able to delete the folder when i has Snow Leopard but now in Lion is so complicated..?

So this has just happened recently, when I open Chrome instead of Chrome actually opening up it opens up VMware. It was working fine up until a couple days ago.
When using Chrome 17.0.963.83, on Mac OSX 10.7.3, on my Mac Book Pro, Chrome will sometimes load very RANDOM pages. It may occur when I click on a link, ANY link, or it may occur when I'm doing nothing on a page.
A few examples:
When I'm scrolling up and down on any website - Could be a news website, could be Facebook, suddenly Chrome will start loading a completely random page - It might be about a vacation deal, or a new software launch, anything. And yes, I'm not accidentally clicking on stuff... It just loads on it's own. Another example is when I'm not doing anything.
For example, I might be staring at a graph of Insights on Facebook, or looking at an image on the web, and my hands are off the keyboard.I would have been on the page for anything from 1minute to 5minutes, and there is no "loading circle, meaning the page has fully loaded. Then POOF the loading circle appears, and next thing I know I'm redirected somewhere. Often when this happens, I simply do a double finger swipe backwards, to go Back, and just ignore the problem. However it's getting quite annoying, and I can't help but think it may be some form of Malware?
Now the thing is - I went to do some reading, and even from the Clam anti-virus website, it says that there are currently NO viruses for Mac at all.So I don't understand - I only have two extensions on Chrome, one of which is the bit-ly extension, the other being Flash 10.I have since disabled the bit-ly extension, but the problem is still persisting.
Chrome has suddenly begun to start-up when I power on my Macbook without any action on my part. Currently running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. How do get this to stop?Â
lion keeps crashing, esp when using google chrome. even when im not. but chrome in itself crashes alot here is the log

I've attempted to change Chrome's icon, but have had some trouble. I tried the copy-and-paste in the info windows procedure, but the pasted icon appears as a generic Preview document icon that says ICNS. I've also tried replacing the app.icns image in Chrome's package contents, but this results, curiously, in no change at all.
Safari tries to load web pages 3 or 4 or 5 times with the page actually partially rendering, then stops trying to load with a "Safari Web Content quit unexpectedly." At that point, it is unresponsive to the keyboard, but the menu works with the mouse. I have disabled extensions, plug-ins, Java and JavaScript. Crash report below. Chrome quit working on the same day. I can't even view preferences as I get an "aw, snap" and nothing renders at all.The keyboard continues to be responsive. Preferences, History and Bookmarks won't render. I deleted everything that starts with Chrome and reinstalled from a fresh download.
I repaired permissions and got a number of errors but no changes in behavior. I upgraded three other Macs to the same level and had no issues.
I have a Macbook Pro (mid 2012) running OSX 10.8.5, Its not clogged with rubbish and all apps are up to date. Recently google chrome has been crashing constantly. upon opening it will work and i can browse half of 1 page, Then it crashes. Nothing loading and nothing clickable within chrome. I then have to force quit the programme and start all over again. I can use Facebook though?Â
I have done the typical re-install, I've even restarted my mac and still no joy.Â

Recently a bunch of users in our office have been getting constant Home Sync errors, most commonly with Google Chrome files. File Sync opens and lists a number of errors syncing files including:
Favicons History History Index 2012-02 History index 2012-03 Network Action Predictor Shortcuts Web Data among others.
Are the files locked by Chrome or something so Home Sync generates errors? Did something change in Lion or Chrome in the last few weeks because this never happened previously?
I prefer using Google Chrome for Development but this SearchEnhance popup is so annoying I'm about to switch back to Safari. How do I remove it? SearchEnhance doesn't show up in the Extensions. Using latest OSX 10.7.4 and Chrome Install.

I am having trouble with Silverlight, which is necessary to stream movies on Netflix. Every time I click on a movie to watch I get a prompt to install Silverlight, even though I have already done so. This occurs on Firefox, my default brower, but not on Safari or Chrome. Â
I am running a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.7.3. It seems there is some incompatibility problem that affects Firefox but not other browsers. I could switch to Safar or Chrome as my default browser or stay with Firefox and use another browser for Netflix, but neither solution is perfect, and I would love to get Netflix to work on Firefox.
Ever since upgrading to Lion 10.7.4 we are having issues with images loading in Safari ,Chrome and Firefox and the App store. Sometimes not even the page will load. Our internet speed is up to par so we are pretty sure it's not a

I’ll try to be as specific as I can. I’m running Safari 5.1.7Â
From time to time, Safari seems to encounter a problem with opening https (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure). Either the page won’t open or the page will take deveral minutes to load (like four minutes to load Twitter home page).Â
When it happens, it seems to cause Safari the misbehave with any other page: Safari becomes in effect broken. Meanwhile, pages load normally in Chrome or Firefox. Â
Sometimes, restarting the computer will fix the problem (for a while), but sometime it doesn’t. I’ve also tried to empty Safari’s cache and flush its DNS. It doesn’t always work. I coming here because I restarted by computer half an hour ago and pages are still loading in Safari.Â
Other valuable information:Â
1) The problem with https existed prior to me upgrading to 5.1.7
2) I can be using Safari for days before I encounter the problem
3) I usually work with thre or four windows open, each loaded with about ten tabs.Â
I bought a WD my book studio 2tb from the apple store and tried formatting it. There was a quick formatter already on the disk but this wouldn't work correctly, so I used the apple disk utility to 'erase data'. I left it on overnight and it seemed to have hung and gone no further, so I turned it off. Now every time I plug the drive in to try and format it, everything freezes and I get the spinning busy wheel.Â
I've tried disabling spotlight indexing, resetting pram, starting in safe mode and accessing disk utility from the recovery menu. Without fail, within seconds of connecting the drive it crashes everything and I have no idea what it's doing.
OS X Lion Preview always crashes when read PDF in full screen mode (preview app full screen mode is mandatory to crash) then right click on any word in PDF and in context menu select "Look up in dictionary", then click on word Dictionary or Thesaurus to open Dictionary in it's own app's window. Preview crashes in 100 % cases. OS Lion 10.7.3
I have a late 2009 Mac Mini with 8GB of OCZ 1333 RAM and an Intel X25-M 160GB SSD. Running 10.6 fully updated and installed from scratch.I have been getting out of the blue crashes while the system is most of the times idle. Can it be the RAM? It's reported fine as 8GB 1333 DDR under the system info. The Intel SSD runs latest firmware.
This is the log from the last crash which happened a little ago.

I've tried to copy something from my NAS to the Mac and had to quit in the middle of the process.
Now, when the Finder connects to the NAS it crashes (icons disappear from the desktop, same do finder windows and bar). Tried Relaunch, nothing happens.
Tried Reboot, at first everything is ok, then (couple of minutes later) I get the message that the connection to the NAS was interrupted and then nothing works anymore.
System is updated, caches are cleared, all periodic scripts have been run...
I updated from snowleopard to lion (10.7.3) and corresponding latest itunes version. My itunes library is on a Qnap Nas TSs 109-II. It has got latest available firmware 3.3.2 Build 0918T. I mount the NAS volumes with the following script:Â
on run mount volume "smb://user:passwort@192.xxx.xxx.xx/Media" mount volume "smb://user:passwort@192.xxx.xxx.xx/Familie" end runÂ
I can access the volumes using e.g. finder fine. Files open up and can be saved. iphoto also works from volumen media. Only itunes crashes a few seconds after being opened "unexpected end". I have searched and tried a lot. No success.Â

Typical Apple discussion from browsing the web but I will give it a go. I'm not doing anything to cause it to crash, I deleted mailboxes and just kept iCloud still crash, I just other mailboxes like Gmail and got rid of iCloud still crashed. I deleted RSS feeds still crashed, It still crashes when nothing else is open, I rebuilt my mail library (I will leave that one as a cliff hanger to if it worked or not). Â
Any ideas or better alternatives to Mail? I don't like outlook and really should never be an option.
I've been getting panics every couple days with my OSX Lion. I do have vmware running always (which I need to). I'm attaching the dump below and wondering if anyone sees anything suspicious. It always shows chrome as the suspect, but I know chrome should not be able to crash my OS.
just recently on my mac pro any simple task causes the finder to freeze or crash, it then relaunches itself but with no menu bar and zero functionality. disk repair says disk ok, permissions repair complete, also tried trashing the finder preference file, and starting again.but to no resolution of problem.this morning though i got a crash report (first time) this is a screen shot from the first few lines, you may need to zoom in to read it properly.
