OS X V10.7 Lion :: Coreaudiod Crash When Calling Through Skype?

When I make a call through Skype, after a few seconds I have a coreaudiod crash and skype stop responding. I am using Lion 10.7.4 and last version of Skype. All my softwares are up2date. I already re-install Lion ...Â
Could be linked to another issue I already logged about applications crashing [URL]Since Coreaudiod crashed, Safari is going very slow and crashed also 3 times in 10 minutes. I suppose because coreaudio is not there and should? Â

This is my first post and I hope you guys can help me. I know what I'm about to ask has been asked numerouse times, but I still can't find an answer that satisfies me. So, I was using the screen-sharing feature of Skype and my girlfriend wanted me to show her The Sims 3 game. I was running Safari, MSN Messenger, Skype and a full screen instance of The Sims 3. My Macbook Pro crashed in the loading screen of the game and the fans turned on at full screen.Since that happened, I'm hearing the fans more constantly.

I wonder if the audio problems on the Mac Pro affect all Macs? My MBP shows coreaudiod pegged at 6.9% when I'm completely idle, and of course not emitting any audio.
Why is coreaudiod so busy doing nothing?

I just bought a gaming headset to play Left 4 dead. I would like to know if their is a program which I can use on OS X to call people with the headset. I use to do this on my old dell computer with a program that came with it and i enjoyed that feature.

Me and my friend are trying to start a facetime chat. We are both on our our computers and have wifi.In addittion we both are calling using are emails so we know thats not the issue.I've tried calling her when shes online and it tells me she is unavailable.She tries calling me minutes later and it tells her that I am unavailable

Which apple cinema display would be best (past and present) for web designers. I previously owned a 17" MBP with the 1920 display but that resolution was just too high on that much screen real estate and I found myself always having to be super zoomed in while doing photoshop design work, etc.. And found that all my work was coming out too large for people on regular resolution screens.
I was thinking of moving to the 1680 20" ACD display but of course I can only buy one used and see it after I bought it, so i'm hoping to get some feedback from people on the forum.

When I was investigating a problem with my time machine backups I found that my mac constantly tries to start up something called com.tvmobilisvcd[number]. It then reports it cannot do so because it cannot find the file or folder. 08/05/2012 19:25:24com.apple.launchd[1](com.tvmobili.tvmobilisvcd[10598]) posix_spawn("/Applications/TVMOBiLi.app/Contents/MacOS/tvmobilisvcd", ...): No such file or directory?I tried running disk permission repair but that doesn't seem to do teh trick (in fact when I repeat disk permission repairs it keeps doing teh same stuff over and over)Â

I have reached this website after scrawling to find a solution on the internet. I hope someone can help me with this problem.I have a 4 years old G4 ibook (OS 10.3.7), and have been using it for internet, skype and foto-storage mainly.Situtation:Yesterday I tried to use the internet (Firefox browser) and skype, but the skype didn't work at all. Since firefox was not working properly either, I did force quit and restarted the computer. I attempted this several times until I could use both applications (never had any problems before). However, Skype didn't work, and in the end, I could not quit firefox at all. At last I did force quit again, and saw white screen with apple icon at the centre when restarting. No time-spinning mark, the apple just sits there.
Troubleshooting that I have done:
I called up support center, and they told me that it's very likey that the computer is stopping at "'carnel" stage (I'm sorry but I don't know what this is). The possibility that it's got something to do with HD is 50/50, so I may have to send it to repairing service in the worst case. They told me to try using Disc Install CD1 to check/repair something wrong in my computer. So I followed the instructions and inserted the install CD and restart the computer with "c" key. The computer read the CD and Installer window showed up. As instructed in a manual, I used First Aid in Disc Utility, and tried "repairing disc". After a while it said "1 HFS has been repaired". It also said that Macintosh HD doesn't seem to have a problem", so I quit the disc utility and restarted the computer.
Against my expectation, the same white screen with apple came up on the screen and sits there with no other movements.I'm afraid of trying somethinig without further so I hope I can get the same story or ideas that someone here might have.

On the right hand side of my desktop when I download a program it seems to put an icon or doc on the right hand side. Like right now I have a skype dmg file I can't delete as it says Skype is in use, then right above that is a seperate skype icon that even if I drag to dock it still stays on the right hand side (like a copy), then I downloaded open office again and it put the install icon there (like when you open and you drag your program to teh applications folder)

I am trying to make a script that allows me to call a number in Address Book in my Avaya Softphone app. Everything works great except that all numbers need to have "9-1" or "91" before the phone number. This is needed to access the outside line and all calling requires the country code. how to add the 91 to the script so that all phone numbers in the script have this added.Â

since the 23rd march skype crashes after 2minutes when i open it and i cant install the "Mobile DEvice Framework" from xcode, when i click install and enter my password it shows "An error occured. See the install log for more details". url...pls help me i already reinstalled mac osx lion and instaklled the 10.7.3 combo update..but still not working

I got a logitech pro webcam C910. I have no audio or video with Skype. I can open Logitach software and get video. When I check microphone in system preference the sound shows a voice signal.

I have a MacBook and back it all up on a 1tb partitioned external hdd via my airport extreme over my network. This has been working fine for the past 2 months on hourly backups but two days ago when the backup started it would search for the hdd, not actually start the backup and freeze. The screen would darken and a message across the screen pops up saying I need to restart my MacBook. After a hard restart I have to turn off time machine to ensure it doesn't happen again. It would if I didn't turn time machine off. Am I sceptical that this timing is linked to me attempting to update to 10.7.3 at the same time and for some reason it didn't complete the download and install the update. I hear this update is flawed and the timing was the same as when this problem first happened.

 I downloaded Dropbox and the Finder has crashed by blinking with the "restore windows"-window. Then I created another administrator account and from here deleted Dropbox. Then restarted and logged in to my normal account. Now Finder wasn't blinking like before but there is nothing viewable on the Desktop and when I click on Finder in the Dock several times it comes up with a window for a splitsecond then closes the window again. Then I can press it several times again and it comes up for a splitsecond and then closes again. When hitting the command-option-esc, the icon blinks here. I've actually also tried the killall Finder in terminal, but even this doesn't work.

Restarting my mac after a crash in Lion (of which there are many) takes an extemely long time. This is most likely due to restoring all applications/docs/etc after a crash to the state just prior to crashing- a new feature in Lion. Is there any way to disable this feature?

I have got two amazing mac's at home. a 2010 8core mac pro and a 2011 17"macbook pro. both running 10.7.4 and with Hamachi installed. They work great, but occasionally on boot they have a fatal "you need to shut down..." error. corresponding to "current thread: Hamachid". i had this a few times and decided that i was done with hamachi and i have deleted it on both machines. About two weeks later i again got a fatal on startup. corresponding to drums.Hamachid!!!so i went in to library-application support and found that Logmein still had a folder with 10 files. i again deleted that folder on both macs (today). Â

My late 2008 MacBook (aluminum) crashed last month. I have fixed many of the items that quit working except: I can no longer automatically log in. When I go to Preferences and then to Users & Groups (Login Options) the "Click the lock to make changes" always goes to page which says "System Preferences quit unexpectedly." On that page it says Exception Type: EXE_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) and Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000. Is there a solution that does not require me to wipe the computer and reinstall from scratch?

Ever since I installed Lion last year on another iMac, and now on my current iMac, whenever I hold down option and click the red close button on a Finder window to close all open windows, the Finder crashes. It doesn't happen every single time, but enough to really make me angry.

I have an iMac A1225 EMC2211 that is exhibiting some weird behaviour. After about 5 minutes of using it (cold boot) it will either have a kernel panic, freeze and go into a blue (bondi blue I think) screen, or shut down. I ran an extended AHT on it and after 10 minutes it shuts down (black screen) then goes into a boot loop (screen stays black and system chimes once every 2 seconds). If the system is warm it will not boot (goes to blank grey screen). The consol reports something with the NVRAM (havent had the ability to post the log yet).

I have a macbook pro and I have the OS X lion installed with all the latest updates to Safari etc. Lately my browsers have been acting up. Â
While I can access a lot of websites on my Safari there are other sites which do not load and I get the spinning beach ball before Safari crashes. My Safari also seems to take longer to load. Â
I have the latest Firefox 12 installed. When that starts up on the home page it crashes straight away after the obligatory spinning beach ball. I tried to trouble shoot Firefox but it wouldn't even open in safe mode before it crashed. Â
I also have Opera which doesn't even start up. So I uninstalled and upgraded to Opera Next. It doesn't even start up! Â
I have checked for plug in issues. I have up to date adobe flash player and java - unless there is some issue there. I also checked my DNS and it seemed clean of trojans. But I could or may have overlooked something. Â
I did use 'onyx' to clean my files but the trouble began before I used it. So now I am at a loss to understand why I am having problems with my browsers. Â
I'm not very technical but I have done my best to follow various threads around here to dismiss obvious causes. Â
