Lion is working perfectly and I'm having no issues. I launched the App Store app the other day and noticed under purchases that although Lion is listed as one of my purchases, the button to the right doesn't read "Installed" like my other purchases do. Instead the button says "Install". Lion already is.Â

In my Mac App Store it says that OS X Lion isn't installed even though I bought it with Lion. And the same thing with FaceTime. It show the other apps that I've installed as installed. Its only OS X Lion and FaceTime. How can I fix this?

I have a Macbook Pro which is almost three years old.Applications like iLife and iWorks were installed on the computer long before there was the Mac Ap Store.These apps, and others on my computer, do not show up as Instaled in the App Store so I can't update them unless I use the old Software Update or the vendor's site.I don't want to purchase the apps again but is there any way to "register" these apps so the app store knows they are on my computer?

My password gets me into the iTunes store... but I can't make a purchase. The system askes for my user name & password, I enter it, and it just asks for the same info... over and over again. I have an HP DeskJet 6540 printer and I replaced the ink cartridges. After I replaced the cartridges, I aligned them and then did a test print. I noticed that the blank ink didn't print. I opened system preferences, and then I opened the printer utility. It says, "Device Status : Pen Failure." Current Supplies Levels says, "The current levels for the selected printer are shown below...Cartridge on the left (tri-color 97) is unknown and the the cartridge on the right (black 96) is missing." Oh, I forgot to mention that the print cartridge light on the left side is flashing. I went to the HP support website and it says that the problem could be an incorrect print cartridge, incompatible print cartridge, or problem with the (left/right) print cartridge. The solution they offered was to remove, inspect and reseat the problem cartidge. It also said to clean the problem cartridge contacts. I did that and it still gives me the same results. I even reset the printer but still got the same results...Â
So the next thing I try is the OTHER cartridges listed as compatible with my printer which is 94 (black) and 95 (tri-color). I bought the new cartridges, placed them in the printer and I still got the same message from the print utility. I took the latter cartridges back and got a refund and explained that none of the compatible cartridges are working with my printer. I kept the 96 and 97 cartridges in the printer and the light on the left continues to flash so now I'm here asking if anyone knows how I can get my printer to recognize the new ink cartridges I installed?Â
Even though I purchased Lion last summer and it is running on my new Macbook Pro, when I try to re-install, the App Store says this version can't be installed on my computer. How many versions of Lion are there?

The App Store is showing that an update to Facetime is available, but the update is v 1.0.2 and the installed version is newer; 1.1.1. When I click the update button I get a dialog that "FaceTime can't be installed on "Macintosh HD" becuase the version of Mac OS S is too new." The App Store continues to show this update is available, how do I get rid of it?

So, I have a 13" white MacBook that is about three years old. Recently, the Combo Drive stopped reading CD-Rs (possibly all discs in general, but I only ever use it to burn CDs, so I wouldn't have ever known), so I decided to try to install a new Super Drive myself.
Following a guide on [URL], I installed the new drive, but when I turned my computer back on, it was not recognizing the drive at all. System Profiler was saying "This system does not contain any ATA devices. If you have any ATA devices installed, check that they are connected and powered on." I was then able to reinstall my old Combo Drive, which my computer recognized immediately. Thinking that I may have just not connected something tightly the first time, I tried a second time. Same thing happened.
So, my question is, is there anything I may be missing or does this definitely mean the drive is defective? I just want to make sure I'm not sending back a functional drive before I go ahead and do so.

I hear the drive spinning when I boot up the computer. However after the computer boots up with the original boot disk that came with the computer and I try to format it using disk utilities, it does NOT recognize my hard drive (e.g. the hard drive doesn't come up on the list of drives to fix).

I wonder if you can suggest something? My MBP currently doesn't recognise the printer I have (HP OfficeJet 6210, which has worked before with this computer). In fact the list of printer models under "add printer" is now empty. So it doesn't detect any printer and I can't suggest any printer for it to detect. I tried reinstalling the "printers" part of Snow Leopard but it didn't change anything. What would be the best thing to do?

I've restarted my system, plugged it in after I started Garage Band or before but not snowball in the system preferences or in the audio preferences of Garage Band.

I have performed OS software updates via the software update drop down menu. Â I chose to perform updates this way because downloads are faster than through the APP store. A 10.7.xx update via software update takes about 30 minutes for ~ 4 GB. If I use the APP store it take 4 to 5 hours.Â
Unfortunately, theAPP store does not recognize that my system is up to date.Â
Am I missing something?

I just bought this mac pro and it intermittantly will recognize its bluetooth card. it is really annoying, seeing as i use the bluetooth mouse as well as keyboard. Whenever I restart after about 10 times, I have bluetooth.
