App Store :: Does Not Recognize Os Version

I have performed OS software updates via the software update drop down menu. Â I chose to perform updates this way because downloads are faster than through the APP store. A 10.7.xx update via software update takes about 30 minutes for ~ 4 GB. If I use the APP store it take 4 to 5 hours.Â
Unfortunately, theAPP store does not recognize that my system is up to date.Â
Am I missing something?

I have a Macbook Pro which is almost three years old.Applications like iLife and iWorks were installed on the computer long before there was the Mac Ap Store.These apps, and others on my computer, do not show up as Instaled in the App Store so I can't update them unless I use the old Software Update or the vendor's site.I don't want to purchase the apps again but is there any way to "register" these apps so the app store knows they are on my computer?

I recently updated my Apple ID but when I attempt to update my apps on the iPad, the app store keeps asking for the password for an older ID.The former IDwas used when I purchased most of the apps but that shouldn't matter, should it?How can I remedy this? PS I did enter the new ID and password into the iPad.

Lion is working perfectly and I'm having no issues. I launched the App Store app the other day and noticed under purchases that although Lion is listed as one of my purchases, the button to the right doesn't read "Installed" like my other purchases do. Instead the button says "Install". Lion already is.Â

I bought dajay app on one of my Macs and thoght that if I signed in with the same ID, I woudl not be charged again. ut I was.The one I downloaded is the newer version. Couldn't find the old version!

I hate this thing when I try to download music or movies, they ask me again my password and give me my credit card details, when I enter the code, they say is not valid!!! what? I just bought from you guys several times, what are you talking about now????
The funny thing is that sometime it does, as matter of fact I have bought more than 30 movies and songs and suddenly ask me again the code and ????

My password gets me into the iTunes store... but I can't make a purchase. The system askes for my user name & password, I enter it, and it just asks for the same info... over and over again. My signon & password seem to work for every other Apple site/function I've tested... but not for a purchase from iTunes.

In my Mac App Store it says that OS X Lion isn't installed even though I bought it with Lion. And the same thing with FaceTime. It show the other apps that I've installed as installed. Its only OS X Lion and FaceTime. How can I fix this?

The App Store is showing that an update to Facetime is available, but the update is v 1.0.2 and the installed version is newer; 1.1.1. When I click the update button I get a dialog that "FaceTime can't be installed on "Macintosh HD" becuase the version of Mac OS S is too new." The App Store continues to show this update is available, how do I get rid of it?

I'm trying to install OS X Lion on my 27" iMac.I've erased the HD using Disc Tool in recovery.HD shows no errors.I've tried Internet Recovery (it loads up, but wont start the installation)I've tried creating a recovery usb on another similar iMac, and use it on this. Same error, only differance is it keeps "loading" when installing, but nothing happens. Same error in log. When I try to start the Reinstall I get an error in the installation log that goes something like this:Â

Which version of Image Capture should be in Snow Leopard Mac OS-X 10.6.8 When my wife attempts to run Image Capture 3.0.3 on her system (her Imac cannot be upgraded to Lion unfortunately) is unable to run. The error message is: You cannot use this version of the application Image Capture with this version of Mac OS-X.Â

In order to install Windows 7 via bootcamp, do you have to use the full version of windows or can you use the upgrade disc to install? I figured I should ask before buying another license as I have an upgrade version of Windows 7 Pro that I don't use. I do own previous versions of Windows (all of them....just like I do Mac OS).

after a lot of testing we have managed to clear everything around the topic of flashing stock PC X1900XT/512Mb (256Mb is NOT working!!) with MacPro EFI ROM. Thank you all guys at Strangedogs! It WORKS prefectlly! Ofcourse flashing card with MacPro EFI rom reenders card useless in regular PC, you have to flash it back with original bios to make it work in PC again. Has anyone tested this scenario? Since PC versions of the 3870 are cheaper than the PC+Mac version, I was wondering if I'd be able to crossfire the PC+Mac version, and a regular PC version. (Obviously I'd only be looking to run Crossfire on the Windows side.) Would this setup cause problems with either the OS X or Windows side? BTW, I've got the 2008 Mac Pro with 2 PCI-E x16 slots.

I just bought my wife a new Al MacBook and need to migrate her Treo 700p from her old Windows machine to the new Mac. I used to use Palm Desktop for Mac and know it is a little quirky and may have some issues with Leopard, so I'm trying to decide whether I should go down that path or just install Fusion and run the windows version in a VM. Anybody have any recommendations either way? She uses Palm Desktop only for syncing, so I don't need to worry about the Leopard iSync issues.
