So this has just happened recently, when I open Chrome instead of Chrome actually opening up it opens up VMware. It was working fine up until a couple days ago.

Whenever I open a file in 'Preview' (any kind of .PDF, .jpeg, etc.) it opens with 2 or 3 windows; the file that I just opened, and also the last 2 or 3 files that I looked at. Why is it doing this? Whenever i click on an email on the web (like Craigslist), instead of opening mail (yes its running) it opens a new tab in chrome (i haven't messed w/ the chrome settings) and brings me to my email sign in. I have tried quitting and also restarting my computer.

I'm finally getting used to the extra steps required to save a doc in Preview now (but I hate it). What I'm noticing now is that when I open a document in Preview, it also opens the last doc I viewed at the same time..If I wanted to see the old doc I would've double clicked it.I use Preview all the time.There is no Preference to disable this strange behavoir.

I am having a problem where whenever I click on a link in say iChat, or Skype or even when im trying to set up Flickr on iPhoto, the webpage link opens up VMware fusion, starts up the OS and opens Internet explorer. I have tried the settings and disabling the sharing folder, but it doesnt work, VMware still opens up. Has anyone else had this problem?

The cursor acts as if the left-click button is being held down, i.e. it highlights or drags a selected object. The only way to stop highlighting is to click another part of the desktop, but then it starts highlighting from that point. The only way to get out of this mode is to restart the computer (I've had to do that 3 times today). I've been assuming that it was a bug in Google Chrome since it was always open when the bug started, but this last time Chrome wasn't open.

For example, each time I try to open Macrumors forum website it takes like 8-10 secs for Chrome to load the page!! (In Safari it takes 2-3 secs.) I've noticed Chrome will often display "Resolving host..." msg first, then it will take you to the site of your choice. Something must be wrong with my browser, but I really don't know why - I just installed it anew, but no change. (Btw, I've read somewhere that turning off the DNS setting in Chrome will help speed things up, but it didn't seem to help when I tried it...)

I have OS 10.9.3. The past few days when I start up my computer in the morning, Apple Mail and my Chrome browser open by themselves. I do not have any startup items in my account except for Dropbox. I do not leave any apps open at shutdown. I have quit those apps before I shut down at night. I've looked through some of the support discussions and none of the solutions apply since these apps are not in my startup items and I don't leave them open at shutdown.
