OS X V10.7 Lion :: Remove Search-enhance From Google Chrome?
May 15, 2012
I prefer using Google Chrome for Development but this SearchEnhance popup is so annoying I'm about to switch back to Safari. How do I remove it? SearchEnhance doesn't show up in the Extensions. Using latest OSX 10.7.4 and Chrome Install.

decided to download some apps without paying attention and decided to download InstallMac into my Macbook Pro. I have done some previous research and installed the Adware Removal Tool and it did work delete some of the items, but I think there's still more to delete that the adware removal tool did not get. Â
Whenever I search something on Google Chrome, the address bar will show search.strtpoint.com before redirecting to my search. For example if I type the letters dasf in the search bar on Google Chrome it will show the url: [URL]
I've tried using Avast full system scan and many of the items couldn't be deleted. It would say, Unable to scan: 1675 items and about 37 infections and I believe this is all from the Install Mac that I've downloaded.
On my macbook pro which is using mountain lion, by safari search engine preferences is set to google, but when i enter a search term it defaults to bing. Only noticed this problem after downloading adobe flash player for what it's worth.
Does anyone else have the issue where Google chrome crashes as soon as you open it? This seemed to start happening after the last Lion update. Not sure why.
lion keeps crashing, esp when using google chrome. even when im not. but chrome in itself crashes alot here is the log

I am unable to use the search window on the right to get results when Google is selected as the search engine.I type in a search term and I am directed to a blank google search page. I have to type in the search term again, then I see a list of "hits". But when
I click on one of these hits I am not directed to the URL displayed. I have quit out of Safari and relaunched. I have rebooted my Mac. Neither changes the problem... This is a Google problem: I have the same symptoms when I use Safari on Windows XP. When I switch the search engine to Bing, the problems go away, for both platforms Has Google been hacked? Is this a Google attack on Safari?  How can I enter GoGoDuck as a search engine choice? Â
I get this ad every time I load the page. I figured it was a cookie problem so I searched my cookies for 'Google' and deleted all the results. I'm still getting it. It's not happening in Firefox, only Safari. It's been there since Friday or Saturday. Am I the only one?
Previously the solution was to install Safari plugins Inquisitor or Glims but Apple have removed the interfaces from Safari 4 that these plugins used - and there is still no built in Safari Preference to set the locale of the Google search. Effectively this renders the Safari Google Search field pretty well useless - at least for UK users. If you're searching for UK-based businesses or individuals, for example, the thousands of USA results that come up first are just not relevant - (that's an example of British Understatement. by the way
Every time I search for anything, a floating banner appears in the lower part of my search. Sometimes I close the banner, but another one appears and I also have a message in each page that said : "This page as insecure content, Load anyway or don't load (recommended)", even though I always said "Don't Load" it keeps appearing...
I've noticed recently some odd behavior regarding google chrome and my download stacks in the dock. I have my download stacks folder set so that the most current downloaded object shows up as a preview (ex. if its a pdf a photo of the pdf appears).
However recently I've noticed that when i download some .rar files or mp3's, the preview in the stacks icon is just a blank text document. its not until i click the stack and it fans out that i see that a preview of my downloaded file (ex. mp3 will show its album art).
when i click the stack again and the items fan back into the stack, the preview once again turns back into a blank document image instead of the corresponding mp3 image.
So we OS X users haven't been able to get our hands on Google Chrome, yet, but apparently there's this new browser set to fill that void called "Stainless."
I've tried it out and it seems pretty good, but I'm interested in seeing its benchmarks in comparison to Chrome. I'm lovin' the GUI of Stainless!
I was wondering if anyone has run into the problem I'm having with Google Chrome. One day last week it just wouldn't load anymore. i can click it and it will appear in my taskbar like its running, but no go on the UI. I've "googled it".... the problem that is... wow googling a problem with google. What are we coming to? Anyway, I've seen some stuff about it not running on Windows XP, but nothing about MAC.
after updating to 10.6.3 google chrome seems more sluggish, and slower(spinning wheel) and some tabs won't close at all. not being able to close the tab is the worst part.
I Have Google Chrome & i wanted to know How Do I Erase All My Bookmarks & Go Back to it Being Empty without having to Delete Everything 1 at a Time? & Every Time I Delete Something, it just comes right Back? I Have Google Chrome on a 24inch iMac Computer.
I've been using Google Chrome for ages and never really had a problem with it until lately, I prefer it to Safari or Firefox etc.
Lately I've found that it's crashing frequently, sometimes webpages just won't load (it will load the title bar and just leave an empty white space on the actual content), and more and more frequently I'm getting the flash plugin crash message come up on it.
I have the latest version of Chrome, and have re-downloaded it and installed it again, repaired permissions etc, but nothing seems to help.
Anyone else come across this or know of a possible resolution?
Just got my first IMac. Beautiful machine to look at, but there are a few things that I have to get used to. One of them is Safari. Actually, I prefer Google. Any comments?
I recently bought a 13" MacBook Pro and I've been using Safari as my default browser. Before I got my Macbook and used a Windows 7 laptop, Google Chrome was my default browser. I still wanna use it as my default browser but not sure if it's as good for the Macbook as it is for Windows. I know both are fast browsers but which is the best one for the Macbook? Should I stick with Safari or should I switch to Google Chrome?

What does this mean and why is it happening? Is it normal? Doesn't happen with safari, but safari has been bugging out; doesn't quit properly. I have a mid 2011 imac 21.5.
